Ammothines Cycladic Suites

American tourists. We stayed here for 4 days with our three high school and college age children. It was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend this family owned hotel. The location is perfect — right on the beach and 3 miles from town. Enjoy the morning breeze off the water and the sounds of the waves crashing from the steps of your suite. The hotel is close enough to visit the old town for dinner or shopping yet far enough away for those seeking some peace and quiet. There are also a number of excellent (beach side) restaurants, bars and gelato within walking distance of the hotel. The beach is a true gem and the best in Naxos. The hotel facilities were lovely - clean and tastefully decorated. The gardens surrounding the property are beautiful and the outdoor pool and restaurant are a wonderful place to grab breakfast in the AM. The staff is amazing and very friendly.

This Hotel by far is not wroth the 400 euro a night it is asking. The rooms are white and stark, bare and no soul. The staff is not friendly if you have an issue for anything as we did. They charge you for refills in your room. The sun beds are 35 euro a day, They never came to bring us menu for lunch or even offer us to lay the towels, since its all do it yourself when you pick up your towel at the pool. The pool has no big umbrellas to protect you from the scorching sun at 38 degree, and when it gets to windy they have to close them... so you need an SPF 100. The food at the restaurant is not great, and they dont come around the pool to ask you if you would like to have a drink. Beware if you bring a guest they will be charged 45 euro for the sun bed. The hotel is far from the main restaurants on Plaka beach, and 35 min from the main town. For a hotel that claims to be in the luxury industry they are by far poor with service . My advise, I have be to Naxos several times and I would not recommend this hotel at that price. Honest advice.

An incredibly beautiful hotel ... very modern with great designs. The hotel staff made us feel very welcome and were attentive to all our our needs. The beach is just across a small dirt road giving easy access to the beautiful waters of Plaka Beach. The location of the hotel is such that you are away from crowds but have access to local restaurants, etc.

This hotel was a slice of perfection right off of the beach. It is a new hotel and the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Each morning we had a big breakfast prepared by Margherita that was phenomenal and we could see the water from our table. The rooms were lovely. The cabanas by the beach were comfortable and easily accessible. Anastasia checked on us regularly and made sure we had everything we needed to spark joy. The hotel itself was great but coupled with the staff makes this place unforgettable. This hotel is quite special for all the right reasons.

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights at the end of September. We loved the hotel. The location was great being across a dirt road from a beautiful beach. (There is a $10 charge for the sunbeds with shade cover.) We loved the spaciousness of the room and it had everything we needed. Only complaint would be the shower without the door which did make a mess but extra towels fixed that. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. The staff was wonderful- Sophia at the front desk was very helpful with recommendations of what to do and restaurants. The girls at the restaurant were so sweet and welcomed you every morning for breakfast. You ordered off a menu with a few daily options. We ate a few lunches there which were okay-- there are better options available but the convenience made it worthwhile. We rented a car and explored the island. Highly recommend Ammothines Cycladic Suites.

This hotel was excellent! It was very clean and the room was spacious and well cared for. Sophia made us feel so welcome when we arrived and continued to be so sweet during our stay. The breakfast was good although a bit of a limited menu. The staff at the bar was excellent and would do anything to make sure you were happy. The short walk to the beach was fine and offered drinks and food to order. Getting out of the water was a bit of a challenge, as I've found in most of Greece. The sun beds were very comfortable and once again, the staff made sure that you were happy on the beach! We had a girl from the hotel who would make sure we got our lemonades quickly! All in all, a very nice hotel and would highly recommend! Oh yes....Nicole at the bar at night was also fantastic!

This is a well groomed property with beautiful scented gardens by the beach in a secluded location. Very peaceful throughout. Nice long beach two feet away with plenty of space to unwind. The only noise is the nearby hotel bar music but nothing that couldn't make you relax. It strikes how much white marble (Naxian marble) is around the hotel, giving it a luxurious touch. The common areas are just beautiful and in great condition (besides one odd cable coming down the pool). The pool sunbeds are very comfortable and all the wooden furniture is in perfect condition which is remarkable as you are outside just beside the beach (everything feels new). The room itself is big, white, very clean and comfortable. The AC is just perfect, not noisy at all, as well the mini fridge. Very comfortable bed and sheets. A nice highlight is the nets in the windows. As such there were no bugs inside the room. I must even notice that besides some bees there weren't any bugs outside either besides the large garden. Cleaning staff very efficient and nice room cleaning schedule during guests breakfast or absence. Overall it was a pleasant stay, but some things felt short: - Receptionist. Strange english communication skills and overall a feeling of automatic "no" response to everything I enquired. It was not a good performance at all but always polite. - In the same way I felt the hotel too overpriced. Not replenishing cafe capsules in the room (only 4 capsules for 5 days) and paying for sunbeds in a desert beach with 300 plus euro tag a night is crazy. Honestly it would be preferable to just offer the sunbeds and not any plus service at the beach. There is always a staff member sitting there doing nothing and if someone wants a drink they could order by whatsapp for instance. - Bathroom amenities (Pandrosia) don't smell good (mostly the conditioner) and overall feel very cheap. The shower geel even made me itchy more than once. They should consider brand replacement. - Bathroom. Kind of small with constant sewer /draining smell if the window is closed. - The pool seems beautiful and clean but there are lot of small debris floating around (concrete/sand material from the walls?). - Breakfast. Few options and repetitive. They should increase significantly the options, just one sweet and salty option is not acceptable. Sometimes it's even the same one as the previous day. The homemade yogurt and granola and fruit were always the highlight of the breakfast!! The pies are not good. Overall there is much to improve in the food category. Probably hiring a chef is the solution. Didn't care to try dining there. There should also be a happy hour or something to appeal guest to try things at the bar. - management could do more to improve guest expericence.

We had an absolutely amazing time during our stay at Ammothines Cycladic Suites! The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable, each with their own private balcony. The grounds around the property were beautiful and the smell of fresh herbs from the garden added to the experience. The food and drinks were excellent and thoughtfully prepared. Not enough could be said about the lovely hotel staff, especially Sophia. From the start of our stay, Sophia ensured our time on Naxos was a dream. She gave us plenty of recommendations for restaurants and activities to do around the island, and they were all exceptional! Lovely maisonette which was incredibly clean - small but nice pool and great snack and lunch options - nearby a few restaurants but able to drive to larger towns but taxis are hard to one by ! Kitesurfing nearby which was excellent
