I have just returned from cabot las velas, after 1 week with my partner, and the in laws also stayed in another room. Our room was 301, right next to reception which was great as it has the bar. The room was large, large shower, large comfy bed, nice kitchen with kettle, microwave and toaster, large TV, comfy sofa, big wardrobe, good aircon, lots of usb ports, nice outdoor area with table, 4 chairs and a hottub that you fill yourself hot or cold. No umbrella for shade. We were very impressed with the room and really enjoyed staying there. The only downside was no privacy around the hottub, with next doors hottub very close with nothing in between. And the room was not cleaned until day 7! We asked and it never got done apart from we were given some more towels on day 3. Not good enough. The in laws paid more than us and when they arrived they had a tiny room, not sure which number, and asked to be moved. They moved to 222 which was bigger and had the roof terrace, but no wardrobe, just a hanging rail, and was much smaller than ours, but they did have the upstairs space. They also did not get the room cleaned until they complained. The smaller pool to the right of the reception is the one we used, plenty of beds and a pool shower. No life guard seen at all all week. The pool was warm and lovely, even if slightly on the small side. There are 4 buildings, for rooms beginning with 100, 200, 300 and 400. Building 3 is the one with reception and the bar and the big rooms, none with roof terraces. Building 4 only has 5 rooms with their own roof terrace by the pool. They looked nice from the outside. Buildings 1 and 2 also have some rooms with roof terrace. None of the roof terraces have umbrellas for shade, and some of them have narrow, windy stair cases which would be difficult to use for certain people. The TV had Google play so u can download Disney, netflix etc but you have to download and sign in every time, which is time consuming. We found it easier to cast from our phone to the TV, using the button on the remote. 10 min walk to the beach, 5 min walk to spar shop, great location. I would definitely recommend these apartments but make sure you know which sized room you are getting and consider your own needs. We fell lucky with the big room and other than the lack of cleaning it was really great.

We stayed as a family of 4 at these apartments for 2 weeks in July. Our room was 222 and it had the roof top with the hot tub. We met lots of lovely people when we were there. Overall we found it a great place to stay but I feel there are a few issues that should be addressed. We joined that Cabot club so should have received beach towels and a free safe. There were no towels available when we arrived and we didn’t get these until the following day. It was also difficult to change them as they often didn’t have clean ones. The man on reception wasn’t aware about the free safe and it took him a few days to find out about this and give us the key. My little girl twisted her knee in the park one evening and I asked the receptionist if they had a first aid kit with a bandage and she told me they didn’t. I walked down to the Pollensa park hotel and the female manager there was lovely and helpful. She gave me a bandage from the first aid box and told me there would be one in the main area at the apartments as every main area has to have one. She told me just to call if I needed anything and was so kind. I’m sorry I can’t remember her name. The final issue was on the last evening the fire alarm went off in our block. When we evacuated the building nobody for the reception was there to tell people what to do as they weren’t aware the fire alarm was even going off. I went to tell her and she said it’s ok if does that sometimes I’ll just switch it off at the box. There were no checks done and this stressed me out a bit. I hardly slept that night and we were up at the 3 for the flight home. The apartments are absolutely beautiful and have everything you would need. The beds were very comfortable. They would benefit from a bit more storage for clothes. The rooftop is a lovely place to relax and even has a sink and a fridge. The hot tub is big enough for 4. Maid service is every second day. The room was cleaned well but the rooftop and balcony were never cleaned. The grounds are beautiful, very clean. The pools are lovely and the Peruvian life guard is so friendly. The area is perfect as it’s a 5 minute walk to the beach and a lovely walk along the front to the harbour. We used the tennis courts at Pollensa park and that was good. I wish you could pay a small amount to use the splash park there as the kids loved it. You need to pay 50 euros each for an all inclusive day. One day the manager from Pollensa park came to our hotel and gave the guests a glass of cava. Thanks for a lovely holiday. We are returning in October and hope some of the small issues are sorted by then.

We stayed at Les Velas Apartments on a very last minute booking with Jet2 as a package holiday. We were booked to go to Sicily but due to the airport fire we had to book something with less than 24 hours planning to still be able to go away. I’ll start with the not so good. We booked a premium studio (it was the only room type left) and upon arrival we were given room 206. This room does not match the pictures on the Jet2 site and is much smaller with no storage for clothes and a very awkward layout. What made matters worse was the two workmen outside repairing the outdoor bath making the patio area unusable. In addition to this the aircon seemed to be causing a damp smell in the room. We complained and were told no other rooms were available that day and to come back in the morning. The lady on the desk was a bit dismissive and said the work on the pool was routine maintenance, i pointed out that it had made the outdoor area unusable and it was not acceptable to be in such a state on our arrival. It was the only one being worked on at that time. With that in mind we were aware that we had booked very late and the apartments did seem fully booked so we figured we would give them the benefit of doubt and see if we could change rooms the next day. We went to the centre and beach for a few hours and on arrival the workmen had finished and the patio was back together, albeit it had been left dirty. The following day we met a young lady on the desk named Peta. She was really helpful and showed us an alternative room, ironically room 102 mentioned in a previous review. The room was a much better layout for us, did not smell of damp and had a much more private outdoor bath. Peta gave us some local info on where to go and seemed genuinely keen and interested to help us. Again this room is much smaller than the pictures used by Jet2 and I would say really only be suitable for couples or at a push with a young child. There’s still very little storage and if the sofa was used as a second bed there would be hardly no room. As previously mentioned room 102 has the comedy bathroom door which offers no privacy. Say good bye to a private wee! For us it was a much better room but still not perfect. The rooms could do with a dust pan and somewhere to hang your towels and wet clothes. The positives The whole complex is well maintained and appears to have been recently updated. The maid service was excellent and the rooms are immaculately clean. There was a lifeguard on duty during the day for both pools. The pool to the right of the main entrance is slightly deeper and more suitable for adults the one to the left is quite shallow and ideal for kids. We never struggled to get a pair of sun loungers but we only spent a few hours by the pool. The location is about 10mins walk from the beach. There is a busy (for Mallorca) road outside the apartment but it’s doesn’t really cause too much noise and is on the main bus route for Pollenca, Alcúdia & Palma.

Stayed at the las vela’s in June for a week with my wife. We booked a premium suite. The site had recently received a major update and can honestly say that our room 218 was absolutely fantastic. We had a outside balcony with steps leading up to a terrace which had outdoor hot tub table and chairs and a stunning view of the bay. We will definitely return in fact we want to book for next year but are unable to on any travel company website or indeed with cabolt website. Perhaps hotel management can explain?

This was our second time staying at the las velas apartments and we were blown away by the transformation. Last time was 2019 and the area was looking a bit tired so was great to see the owners investing in this hidden gem! Arrived 5th July for 10 nights, staying in a 1st floor studio which was fine for two adults and two kids under 10. There isn’t much storage space but this wasn’t an issue for us. The beds are really comfy, bathroom with shower is decent size and balcony area is large with a table to seat 4. The overall look of the studio is like a boutique hotel room. The revamp of the pool area has been completed to a high standard. It’s never busy with plenty of sun beds and the kids play park is a great addition. The apartments are approx. 20mins walk into PP square however there are plenty of shops and restaurants within 5mins walk all along the beachfront. The bus stops outside and takes you to the top of the square within 5mins if you don’t want to walk in the heat! The best part about staying here though is the staff. They go above and beyond for the guests and keep the place immaculate. Us like many others we met will be returning again and again.

We arrived at Las Velas to find that we’d been placed in Room 102 which was not suitable for a family of four (kids aged 12 and 9) and was plagued with building snags including a sliding bathroom door which did not close properly and a jacuzzi with exposed pipes that only looked partially finished. We complained to both the hotel and Jet2Holidays and they arranged for us to be moved to Room 302 which was excellent. The room was situated close to the reception area, was a decent size and really nicely furnished with none of the issues we’d experienced in Room 102. Would we return to Las Velas? Yes, definitely but not to Room 102!

We stayed for a week in a deluxe studio. The apartments have been renovated tastefully and the whole complex has a nice relaxed feel about it. We were a family of 4 and the deluxe studio we booked was not as it was presented in the pictures on the website, it was much smaller than we thought it would be, there was hardly any storage space for a family of 4 and no where to sit and eat inside. The location of our room was great, on the ground floor, right by the family pool, which made it perfect for the children. The location of the apartments is away from the centre of port de pollenca, about a 20 minute walk, and 10 minutes to the Beach (which we didn’t mind). There’s a bus stop 5 mins away which takes you to Alcúdia and the old town. Our first impressions on arrival weren’t great, prior to arriving I’ve read reviews about small room sizes and rooms not being set up for a family. We arrived at midnight, hence I emailed in advance to check both that the room size was suitable for a family of 4, and that the sofa bed would be made up on arrival, I also asked again at check in and was told, that the room was set up correctly. Unfortunately neither of these happened, and I had to spend the first 30 mins hunting for bedding around the Complex, and making up the bed myself. Also we arrived at midnight tired, and thirsty and we’re not even offered a glass of water to welcome us, nor was there a bottle of water in our room. Not a great welcome. Overall the apartments are nice, but I feel the management need to ensure the rooms are appropriate for number of people in them. And that guests requests are appropriately and honestly dealt with.

Just returned from a nine night stay. Place looks quite modern and bright but on closer inspection it’s done up on the cheap. Our premium studio had a two inch gap under door, lots of earwigs, and shower flooded the bathroom cos of design! The sliding bathroom door did not shut by around three inches. Should have asked to move really…the whirlpool baths are ludicrous, absolutely no privacy afforded. They are a complete waste of time. Sorry but would not return…

We stayed in a deluxe studio 125, our review will follow what most others have said. It’s a holiday venue, people bring clothes, yes some will bring far more than others, but 4 coat hangers and no drawers. Luckily I bring everything but the kitchen sink, so always have coat hangers with me and had brought extra. Also use packing cubes so left clothes in them. But I’m not in a hostel so please put some drawers in, like others have said under the counter is made for them. Also nowhere to hang towels to dry which is important as although was told we would be cleaned every other day, you don’t. If you go home on an odd day it goes to 3 days and the place doesn’t look it’s best and the towels we got had seen better days. Now talking of towels, we soon found we could get fresh bath and pool towels in the laundry section. We had a rooftop whirlpool, which was great and we got shade as we were in the middle, but be warned the flooring and round the pool get unbearably hot. Towels are needed and shoes nearby. The stairs we had to the rooftop were very tight. Also up there was a fridge and sink and table and chairs. But getting things up and down isn’t the easiest. Tip if you go the rooftop take your phone, the maids locked us out one day 🙈 The Wi-Fi was blooming useless, it worked in the room and on the rooftop, but not on the balcony or by the pool 🤷‍♀️ The kitchen was stocked with small bowls, huge spoons and a few other things, we needed a can opener and asked at reception, the next day one was there for us, brilliant. Along with my coat hangers I had packed mugs and tea and coffee. The cups and saucers are tiny. A cloth, sponge and washing up liquid is supplied, but need to go to reception to get more. As others have said a broom would be handy especially when you don’t clean as often as you say you will. The pool is small, but plenty of sun-beds and brollies. No information in rooms, about reception opening times, fire procedures or how to ring reception from the phone when you need them. Would I stay again, probably not, there are too many negatives for me, the balcony was so hot first thing that meant eating breakfast in the room and there’s no where to do that really, apart from the bed. The cleaning wasn’t brilliant, bed changed once in 9 nights, and the green duvet covers are a hideous colour 🙈
