Walmer Manor Guest House

The location was nice and close to the airport and just a 5 min drive from the beachfront. The rooms were very neat and modern, but very small. The bed was far too hard. There staff were friendly but were unable to help with my biggest complaint, no hot water for 2 days. The management seemed unwilling to call a plumber on the weekend to fix the hot water issue, so that was disappointing. There was also an incessant beeping coming from the electric gate motor that kept me awake.

Truly a beautiful place. Rooms and house is beautifully decorated, but I cannot agree with the way of sleeping. The rooms are way to close to each other. It is a house converted into a B&B. Family trip I can see why they stay there, but for me a single Business trip for 5Night stay - NEVER AGAIN! It was impossible to have a proper nights sleep. Every move of furniture, spoon falling, guy's cellphone next room, talking - You hear every word. The worst was - Guests smoking. The rooms are so closed, and it is tremendously hot, so I left the windows open - and all that smoke came into my room. It was terrible. The B&B also advertise no animals, but there was 2 dogs the last night that peed everywhere,

No issues with Walmer Manor Guesthouse besides not having back up power for load shedding. Wifi has back up power which is the most important. Staff are very friendly, rooms are clean, and the bathrooms are spacious. Centrally located and walking distance to restaurants.

Walmer Manor Guesthouse is an extremely convenient stay. Near to the airport, this property offers clean and crisp rooms with ample safe parking. My room had a private entrance. Despite my late check in, personnel were friendly and welcoming. I will definitely stay here again.

The stay was good. It met with our expectations. Breakfast was delicious. Management & staff were very helpful with all our requests and requirements. We had to extend our stay and it was done with no hassle.
