"The location of the hotel is average, although there is no beach at the beach, the only thing is very secluded. The yard where the hotel is located is very large and there are many houses for short and medium term rental. Hotel facilities are relatively old, but it is a bit special, the hotel lobby is not big, the bird cage inside is feeding a few birds. The service is OK. If you have dinner, there are two restaurants, one bar to choose from, and one that is open to Asian restaurants opened by Malaysians. The price of the local restaurant below is acceptable. The hotel's WIFI is very poor and often does not receive signals in the rooms."

"Great place, but no cleaning products or clothes to clean. No light for swimming pool. 90% of things work but not all. Still loved it."

"It is an ordinary bed and breakfast, and it is much worse than the photos. There is no security at the front desk. You need to contact the landlord in advance. No one will check in and check out. Every day at noon, people come to clean. The kitchen is complete, the supermarket is not far away, and the environment is very quiet in the community. Living on the first floor, the lighting is poor, and there are many bugs. Going to chase dolphins, Bird Park and Mount Mona is particularly close, and staying one night or two nights is barely ok."

"Rats in restaurant On arrival the hotel is really beautiful - a small oasis tucked away with gorgeous colonial style. The reception staff were really lovely and made us feel welcome. The room was really nice - but there were a few things we noticed (which we let slide at the start) - massive dirty lipstick mark on one of our water glasses, filthy lampshades above the bathroom sinks, bed linen that didn’t feel particularly fresh and the robes as well had a slight greyish colour rather than bright white which they were meant to be. These were all minor things at the start which we didn’t even mention to each other but did notice. We then had our first night at the cocktail bar where our drink was served by the lovely barman (very polite and smily) - as we were drinking we saw a huge rat run across the terrace - we decided it was an island and maybe this is normal (although we really weren’t happy about it). We then were dining within the restaurant and again a huge rat was running towards the table. For us, this is not ok. We asked to move tables as we saw a rat and the waiters barely acknowledged it - didn’t offer any apology and then proceeded to avoid our table for the rest of the night. We informed the manager the next day who assured us he was aware and the rat had been caught, and to “give it a chance”. We weren’t offered so much as a complimentary drink. After dining in the restaurant again the second night and again seeing a rat - for us it was time to check out. Not only is it unpleasant seeing rodents running around while eating but I would say it’s a hygiene issue and makes me question the cleanliness of the kitchen and the safety of the food. The only concession we were offered was to not pay for the remaining nights that we would not be staying for. Really disappointing. On hindsight some things we would add about the whole experience: - Not a 5 star in terms of food, service or cleanliness - Staff really hit and miss - some very friendly some really rude and unhelpful - Rooms didn’t feel clean - Food was average - nothing felt fresh including breakfast - Quite stingey with water - water not replaced within our room (had to ask for it) We are now staying at a different hotel and haven’t seen one rat, so don’t think this is “just an island thing” as the manager stated. The service and food are also worlds apart which has really solidified that our review of 20 degres sud as completely justified - not a 5 star experience whatsoever."

"It's hard to get here without a car, but it's really private and really pretty!!! It was said to have a sea view, but it's a shame that you can't see much of the sea. The sunset seen from the beach bar is beautiful, and the rooms are spacious, so it's expensive!"

"Very good, good environment, the Chinese housekeeper helped introduce the hotel when he checked in, but he didn't see it, but he also left contact information to find him. We did n’t bother people anymore if we could pass English. The hotel environment is very beautiful. I especially like this outdoor bathing area. Because the hotel is a forest environment, there will be big cockroaches. I saw it twice. Later I did not see it in other hotels (> ﹏ <). People like me, who are particularly afraid of bugs, are not suitable for living alone. It is good to be accompanied by a family member. For breakfast, you can go to the cafeteria and French restaurant. There are fewer French restaurants but just by the sea. The hotel has its own parking area. The hotel is not far from the botanical garden and super u big bay"
