The décor was modern yet cozy, and the apartment was equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay – from a fully stocked kitchen to fresh linens and fast Wi-Fi. "I couldn't be happier with this apartment! Its location is absolutely unbeatable; it's practically built right on top of a subway station. You can even walk directly to The MixC Mall through a sky garden. With Subway Lines 2 and 3 right downstairs, you get direct access to the subway without even stepping onto the street, making travel incredibly convenient for reaching all the tourist spots. The room itself was fully equipped. The shower pressure was fantastic and super effective – after a long day of sightseeing, coming back and enjoying a wonderfully refreshing hot shower was just what I needed! The concierge service was exceptional. They thoughtfully provided detailed routes to various attractions and excellent dining recommendations. Highly recommend!"

While the area downstairs is bustling, the soundproofing is excellent, so the room was very quiet. The location is superb; several famous attractions are within walking distance, making it ideal for city walks. Additionally, the staff at the front desk were incredibly warm and helpful. The room came equipped with a complimentary mini-fridge and drinks, and even a nail care kit – a very thoughtful touch. The breakfast was varied and plentiful, and it tasted great. The hotel's entrance isn't grand, but the overall experience was top-notch, which is why I've written such a lengthy review. Satisfied!"

"The room was standard, but the service was absolutely excellent. It was my birthday during our stay, and they even surprised me with a birthday cake – a truly thoughtful gesture. The hotel's location is fantastic, right next to MixC City, putting all kinds of dining, shopping, and entertainment within easy reach. It's also just a fifteen-minute walk to May Fourth Square and the seaside, making it incredibly convenient for enjoying the sea views, scenic spots, and the nightly light show. The breakfast spread was generous, and the swimming pool was never too busy, so we thoroughly enjoyed our time there."

"## Location: The location is incredibly convenient: just across the traffic light from the Zhongshan Road subway station exit, right on the main street. Taxis are also easy to hail. With public transport (bus and subway) right at the doorstep, getting anywhere is effortless. Zhanqiao Pier is also within walking distance, and the stroll there is quite pleasant, allowing you to admire the architecture and browse the small shops along the way. Just a heads-up, during hot weather, it's wise to stay cool. ## Environment: The courtyard itself is very quiet. Surrounding it are many small shops, accessible through a back gate from the courtyard – just knock and you can step right in to explore them, which was a fantastic feature. We'd read reviews suggesting ground-floor rooms are more convenient, so we booked one. However, the garden-style courtyard made it a bit challenging to wheel our luggage. But the front desk staff (the young gentlemen, in particular) were incredibly helpful, always carrying our bags in and out. Our suitcases were quite heavy, so we were truly grateful for their assistance! ## Stay Experience: The bedding was quite comfortable, although the pillows were a bit too soft. It would be ideal to have both a soft and a slightly firmer pillow option to cater to different preferences. The air conditioning kept the room refreshingly cool, but it seemed to lack a dehumidifier function (or we couldn't find it), making the room feel a bit too damp. Clothes hung out in the courtyard took a while to dry, but having a washing machine to pre-spin them helped a bit. Each room has its own private courtyard perfect for tea and conversation; on hot days, we simply moved our tea setup just outside our door, which was equally pleasant. We did notice a slight odor in the bathroom, but after mentioning it to the front desk, they promptly cleaned it again for us. Overall, our stay was very enjoyable, and we would definitely choose this place again on our next visit to Qingdao. The people of Shandong are genuinely warm, friendly, and talkative – they never showed any signs of annoyance, which we truly appreciated!"

"For my trip to Qingdao, I was looking for a hotel with convenient access to transportation, shopping, and dining. After reading numerous traveler reviews, I opted for the newly opened Qingdao Yihai Garden Hotel (May Fourth Square branch). The room was spacious, bright, and comfortable, and the cleanliness was also quite good. The facilities were comprehensive. Although there wasn't a direct sea view, the city lights at night were still dazzling. Breakfast was plentiful, offering local specialty snacks that tasted great. Even with many guests staying, everything remained quite orderly. A notable feature: The laundry room was a very popular spot, often with queues forming. The hotel site originally served as the Qingdao Workers' Sanatorium, which I personally believe contributes to its 'quiet oasis in a bustling city' feel. Downside: As some other guests have mentioned, the shower water temperature would occasionally fluctuate between hot and cold, and the water spray was too dispersed. I hope this can be improved."

"Part of the Huazhu Group, this hotel boasts an excellent location. May Fourth Square is just a 10-minute walk to the right, and the Olympic Sailing Center is also a 10-minute walk to the left. For our family trip, we booked a sea-view room with two king beds. The Olympic Sailing Center was right below our window – what a fantastic view! The room facilities were comprehensive and very user-friendly. The service was also excellent. Overall, a truly wonderful stay!"

"I stayed at Orange Crystal Hotel for three nights with my parents in a suite room, and everything was perfect. 1. Location: The hotel is in a great location — just a 10-minute walk to MixC Mall and also about 10 minutes to May Fourth Square. It’s very convenient for sightseeing and shopping. 2. Room Condition: The room and bathroom were spotless, and the overall condition was excellent. I especially enjoyed relaxing in the warm spring water from Laoshan after a long day — it really helped me unwind. 3. Others: The night view from the 17th floor was absolutely stunning. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, all delicious and satisfying. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Qingdao!"

At times, the air carried either cigarette smoke or urine odors, which were very unpleasant. Keeping the door closed helped slightly, but housekeeping would leave it open after cleaning, causing the room to smell bad upon returning. Overall, I would consider staying with this hotel brand again, but not at this particular branch due to the air conditioning and bathroom ventilation issues. The service from the front desk was good, but these factors significantly impacted my stay.

GGuest UserDefinitely not a 5 star hotel they claim to be on Trip.com. The first room we were checked-in had a broken window that couldn’t be opened and the reception didn’t know about it, although the window was closed with a tape and they should have known that this room had a problem. There were not many guests in the hotel and plenty of rooms to be offered. In the next room we found out that the show was out of hot water. The problem was with the central supply system and instead of repairing it themselves, the hotel engineer was coming to our room claiming that we should discharge water for 5-10 minutes before hot water starts coming out. This kept going for almost an hour, we were tired and wanted to sleep because it was late evening. The problem didn’t require our assistance because the problem was with the whole hot water supply system, not with our exact room. Also, they brought us a small heater to the room which I was surprised about, but then I understood that it was because the air-conditioner which had a heater mode, didn’t work well. I doubt that the hotel would have enough heaters for all rooms in case they had more guests. Without the heater it was quite cold in the room. Next morning the house keeper came at 9-30 am!!!Which is insane. We were sleeping. I’ve never encountered a hotel at which the house keeper came that early and disturbed the guests. Finally when leaving the hotel, we wanted to take those one-time use sleepers with us to use during the flight and found out to our surprise, that for 4 days we were living in the hotel sleepers were not changed even once. I called the reception, it was early morning (like 6-30 am) and they told me that the house keeper will bring us the sleepers when she comes to work. I told that we were leaving already and the reception promised to bring the sleepers asap. 10 minutes later nobody came and we went to check-out. At the check-out I asked for the sleepers again and told the receptionist that the taxi has almost arrived, so that she could bring us the sleepers first and then proceed with the check-out. She didn’t listen to me, still first processed the check-out and only after it went for the sleepers. So it basically took me half an hour and my nerves to get the sleepers that were supposed to be in my room from the very beginning. The general manager talked to us after the case with the hot water and the house keeper coming early in the morning. He was very polite, but this doesn’t eliminate the fact that basic services in this hotel leave much to be desired. On the plus side, very comfortable beds and clean spacious room.

AAnonymous UserFirst off, the location is excellent, right across from City Hall and directly facing May Fourth Square. Secondly, on the way from the front desk to the elevator, there are two sets of stairs. One has a ramp, which is convenient for luggage, but the other is just stairs, meaning you have to carry your bags. Stepping out of the elevator into the hallway leading to our room, there was a strong smell of smoke and the carpet was visibly dirty. Once inside the room, we found a hair on the toilet seat and another under the rim of the drinking glass. There was also a torn corner of a small wrapper under the curtain. In one of the corners on the way from the elevator to the room, there was a PV mat placed by the greenery, and it hadn't been moved for at least three days of our three-night stay. Thirdly, the room only had standard two and three-pin power outlets, with no USB charging ports, which are so commonly found these days. In the shower, there was only a tiny shelf for toiletries, but it was far too small, and everything kept falling off. Another thing that puzzled me was that an emergency pull cord system was installed, but the cord itself was missing. Why bother installing it then? Finally, the most appalling thing was that last night, past 11 PM, a jackhammer started, along with hammering, sounding like it was right above our heads. We tried calling the front desk first, but the line was constantly busy. Luckily, the hotel's WeChat corporate account, which we had previously added, was still responsive. They coordinated a solution, and the noise stopped in about half an hour, which was quite efficient. But then, to make matters worse, this morning, between 8 and 9 AM, the jackhammer started up again. While they did send a gift package as compensation, dealing with this kind of situation during a hotel stay is truly infuriating!

XXingfudeyigexiaotaiyangMy family and I came to escape the summer heat, and we decided on Qingdao. We traveled by high-speed rail, and the Westin Hotel was conveniently located. The deluxe suite we booked was very spacious, the breakfast was excellent and varied, and the front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. My whole family was very satisfied. In the evening, we went to May Fourth Square to enjoy the sea views. The Olympic Sailing Center was also very close by. The next day, we visited Xiaoyushan Park in the old town to admire the distinctive red-tiled roofs and green walls, and enjoyed a beautiful sunset. We also stopped by the trendy University Road for some photos. Everything was very conveniently located, making for a wonderful vacation.
