"I couldn't be happier with this apartment! Its location is absolutely unbeatable; it's practically built right on top of a subway station. You can even walk directly to The MixC Mall through a sky garden. With Subway Lines 2 and 3 right downstairs, you get direct access to the subway without even stepping onto the street, making travel incredibly convenient for reaching all the tourist spots. The room itself was fully equipped. The shower pressure was fantastic and super effective – after a long day of sightseeing, coming back and enjoying a wonderfully refreshing hot shower was just what I needed! The concierge service was exceptional. They thoughtfully provided detailed routes to various attractions and excellent dining recommendations. Highly recommend!"

"The room was spacious and bright upon entering. It was equipped with a washing machine, microwave, refrigerator, and smart toilet, providing many convenient features for a trip. The front desk staff provided detailed instructions on how to use each facility, and any minor issues were promptly addressed. The bedding was clean, soft, and helped me sleep better at night. After a day out, it was a true pleasure to lie on the sofa and gaze at the night view from the window. Qingdao is beautiful. "Locals told me the Haitien Hotel isn't the priciest, but it's considered the best. There's a queue for breakfast every single day, which is something I've never encountered before. Their business is incredibly popular, yet they haven't let their standards drop in any aspect. I particularly enjoyed having breakfast in the restaurant with the stunning sea view – it was incredibly relaxing. We stayed for three consecutive nights with our infant, and we were quite satisfied with both the facilities and the service. A concierge added us on WeChat right after check-in, making communication incredibly convenient and ensuring all our requests were promptly handled. My only complaint was that during our three-day stay, the room only received a superficial tidy-up. The floor wasn't vacuumed, nor were any stains cleaned, which was particularly problematic since our infant was crawling around. I hope they improve their hygiene standards and supervision in the future!"

The location is superb; several famous attractions are within walking distance, making it ideal for city walks. Additionally, the staff at the front desk were incredibly warm and helpful. The room came equipped with a complimentary mini-fridge and drinks, and even a nail care kit – a very thoughtful touch. The breakfast was varied and plentiful, and it tasted great. The hotel's entrance isn't grand, but the overall experience was top-notch, which is why I've written such a lengthy review. Satisfied!"

"The room was standard, but the service was absolutely excellent. It was my birthday during our stay, and they even surprised me with a birthday cake – a truly thoughtful gesture. The hotel's location is fantastic, right next to MixC City, putting all kinds of dining, shopping, and entertainment within easy reach. It's also just a fifteen-minute walk to May Fourth Square and the seaside, making it incredibly convenient for enjoying the sea views, scenic spots, and the nightly light show. The breakfast spread was generous, and the swimming pool was never too busy, so we thoroughly enjoyed our time there."

It's also well-connected by public transport. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and thoughtful; check-in was a breeze, and they patiently answered all my inquiries. The room was sparkling clean, and the bed was so comfortable, I never wanted to leave it! The soundproofing was impressive too, ensuring a peaceful and restful night's sleep. "For my trip to Qingdao, I was looking for a hotel with convenient access to transportation, shopping, and dining. After reading numerous traveler reviews, I opted for the newly opened Qingdao Yihai Garden Hotel (May Fourth Square branch). The room was spacious, bright, and comfortable, and the cleanliness was also quite good. The facilities were comprehensive. Although there wasn't a direct sea view, the city lights at night were still dazzling. Breakfast was plentiful, offering local specialty snacks that tasted great. Even with many guests staying, everything remained quite orderly. A notable feature: The laundry room was a very popular spot, often with queues forming. The hotel site originally served as the Qingdao Workers' Sanatorium, which I personally believe contributes to its 'quiet oasis in a bustling city' feel. Downside: As some other guests have mentioned, the shower water temperature would occasionally fluctuate between hot and cold, and the water spray was too dispersed. I hope this can be improved."

"Part of the Huazhu Group, this hotel boasts an excellent location. May Fourth Square is just a 10-minute walk to the right, and the Olympic Sailing Center is also a 10-minute walk to the left. For our family trip, we booked a sea-view room with two king beds. The Olympic Sailing Center was right below our window – what a fantastic view! The room facilities were comprehensive and very user-friendly. The service was also excellent. Overall, a truly wonderful stay!"

You have to swipe your elevator card to get to your floor, but the room smelled like renovations, and the windows were left open the entire time we stayed, so the smell persisted. The restaurant was adequate, but the air conditioning wasn't very effective, and I kept sweating while eating. The laundry room on the first floor was very helpful. Cleanliness: The room was clean, and housekeeping was always available. Breakfast cleanliness could be improved, for example, there were foreign objects in the food. Environment: There's a commercial area downstairs, making it convenient for dining. The subway is a 10-minute walk away. Service: Room service was good. Restaurant service was acceptable, and any issues were addressed promptly. The front desk staff were friendly during check-in, but were unprofessional and formal during check-out. GGuest UserDefinitely not a 5 star hotel they claim to be on Trip.com. The first room we were checked-in had a broken window that couldn’t be opened and the reception didn’t know about it, although the window was closed with a tape and they should have known that this room had a problem. There were not many guests in the hotel and plenty of rooms to be offered. In the next room we found out that the show was out of hot water. The problem was with the central supply system and instead of repairing it themselves, the hotel engineer was coming to our room claiming that we should discharge water for 5-10 minutes before hot water starts coming out. This kept going for almost an hour, we were tired and wanted to sleep because it was late evening. The problem didn’t require our assistance because the problem was with the whole hot water supply system, not with our exact room. Also, they brought us a small heater to the room which I was surprised about, but then I understood that it was because the air-conditioner which had a heater mode, didn’t work well. I doubt that the hotel would have enough heaters for all rooms in case they had more guests. Without the heater it was quite cold in the room. Next morning the house keeper came at 9-30 am!!!Which is insane. We were sleeping. I’ve never encountered a hotel at which the house keeper came that early and disturbed the guests. Finally when leaving the hotel, we wanted to take those one-time use sleepers with us to use during the flight and found out to our surprise, that for 4 days we were living in the hotel sleepers were not changed even once. I called the reception, it was early morning (like 6-30 am) and they told me that the house keeper will bring us the sleepers when she comes to work. I told that we were leaving already and the reception promised to bring the sleepers asap. 10 minutes later nobody came and we went to check-out. At the check-out I asked for the sleepers again and told the receptionist that the taxi has almost arrived, so that she could bring us the sleepers first and then proceed with the check-out. She didn’t listen to me, still first processed the check-out and only after it went for the sleepers. So it basically took me half an hour and my nerves to get the sleepers that were supposed to be in my room from the very beginning. The general manager talked to us after the case with the hot water and the house keeper coming early in the morning. He was very polite, but this doesn’t eliminate the fact that basic services in this hotel leave much to be desired. On the plus side, very comfortable beds and clean spacious room.

AAnonymous UserFirst off, the location is excellent, right across from City Hall and directly facing May Fourth Square. Secondly, on the way from the front desk to the elevator, there are two sets of stairs. One has a ramp, which is convenient for luggage, but the other is just stairs, meaning you have to carry your bags. Stepping out of the elevator into the hallway leading to our room, there was a strong smell of smoke and the carpet was visibly dirty. Once inside the room, we found a hair on the toilet seat and another under the rim of the drinking glass. There was also a torn corner of a small wrapper under the curtain. In one of the corners on the way from the elevator to the room, there was a PV mat placed by the greenery, and it hadn't been moved for at least three days of our three-night stay. Thirdly, the room only had standard two and three-pin power outlets, with no USB charging ports, which are so commonly found these days. In the shower, there was only a tiny shelf for toiletries, but it was far too small, and everything kept falling off. Another thing that puzzled me was that an emergency pull cord system was installed, but the cord itself was missing. Why bother installing it then? Finally, the most appalling thing was that last night, past 11 PM, a jackhammer started, along with hammering, sounding like it was right above our heads. We tried calling the front desk first, but the line was constantly busy. Luckily, the hotel's WeChat corporate account, which we had previously added, was still responsive. They coordinated a solution, and the noise stopped in about half an hour, which was quite efficient. But then, to make matters worse, this morning, between 8 and 9 AM, the jackhammer started up again. While they did send a gift package as compensation, dealing with this kind of situation during a hotel stay is truly infuriating!
