The cabin (panorama suite) was beautifully decorated and the beds were comfortable to sleep on. The cabin's jacuzzi was a nice addition, where we spent many hours. A big minus of paid parking in such a remote place. The breakfast was varied and the food at dinner was really good in the fire kitchen. The spa, on the other hand, was a disappointment. Cramped dressing room. The water in the pools was too cool. There was no steam in the steam room and it smelled like urine. As a positive thing, free snacks at the pool bar. A hot pool was missing, but luckily our cabin had a jacuzzi with a suitable temperature

My mum, my wife and I just stayed here overnight celebrating my mums 90th anniversary. My mum was totally amazed by the beautiful views and luxury of all the facilities. Everything worked well and service was excellent - she got even a birthday rose both in the suite with a card and a rose on the dinner table! We had a amazing view from the suite nearest to the lake. We liked the Valamo wine tasting and the three course meal at Tulikeittiö in the evening was delicious. Beds were comfortable and breakfast versatile and tasted well. We have to come again and test the spa, too. I believe that in summer this place is even better with more activities and better views in sunshine as well. The only thing what my mum didn't like was too steep slopes to walk to the restaurant and back, but I solved that problem by picking her by car. For us "younger retired ones" that wouldn't cause any harm! We liked the place as my mum.

We come here 1-2 times per year and every time it amazes me how beautiful place it is. Very good price for so nice rooms. Clean, good food, activities and beautiful nature, you name it. Spa is the reason to come here. Kuru resort is my favourite.

We stayed for one night in one of the Birdnests (501). It was beautiful, cosy, well appointed and we had a really relaxing stay. The nest is not very big but big enough and as I said, well appointed. There was enough room for two people and our luggage. It might be a bit tricky if you are really tall, but it was ok for my 6 feet 2 inches husband. All the materials, kitchenware and toiletries were of high quality. Pentik cups and plates for example. There is a kettle, a Dolce Gusto coffee machine, teabags, coffee pods, real milk and a minibar. Some oat milk (barista) would be a nice addition! The view is to the lake and the spa but you are secluded at the same time. We had the curtains up (or actually down) most of the time. The nests are nice and close to the spa and the main building. Unfortunately the nest was visibly dirty. There were dustbunnies on the floor and the toilet wasn't clean. I told the reception about this on both days; on the day of our arrival they told us that somebody would come and take care of it. That didn't happen. When leaving I mentioned it again and they apologized very warmly, but there was no refund or anything tangible. That left a bad taste, I'm afraid. For 319 euros per night (including access to the spa) I would expect a clean room. Another negative was the parking, which you had to pay for. There is a small free parking lot a bit further away. Järvisydän is literally in the middle of nowhere and everyone driving there is going to use their pricy services. Charging for parking is downright greedy in my books. The spa is lovely and great for relaxation with some pools and 5 saunas. The changing rooms are ridiculously small, though. All in all, it is a beaufitul place with lots of activities on offer. Great for couples and a relaxing minibreak.

Loved the atmosphere in the area, the peacefulness in the spa and also the coziness of the cabin. Everything was clean and loved all the sustainable choices that were made in materials, products etc. Staff was really nice and I had a totally stress-free weekend.

We had a little christmas party with 10 friends. The accommodation at cabin was nice, we have been here before. Breakfast was good as well, but the buffet dinner in the evening was not so good and quite expensive for quality. I have eaten here many times before, and this was the worst culinary experience so far.

I spent a couple of days with some friends at Järvisydän resort for a birthday. It was a fantastic facility with great aesthetic values; the main hotel building in the lakeside built of stone and timber where one wall is made up of a rock, a spa in similar style and a huge number of luxury villas and cabins on the slope above. The interior in the hotel rooms followed the same building style and the rooms were cozy and fully equipped. We had dinner in two restaurants, the Fire Kitchen and the Savonian kota, the food was good although the menus were quite scarce. The breakfast was really good except the coffee (lukewarm and not very tasty). The biggest problem was the service (speed and quality) due to a very small number of staff. Check in and out were both really boring and took several minutes per guest although most of the guests had checked in already online prior to their arrival. Also the entry procedures to the spa took several minutes. Seemed to be inadequate processes and systems.

We arrived after a long drive (in a dreadful Finnish November weather) late on Friday night. The reception area was beautiful but there were only two receptionists so people had to wait to be checked in. As we hadn’t realised that the resort would be so busy we hadn’t made any dinner reservations. Luckily they were able to book us tables for both nights, one being in the nearby Kuru resort. Because of the time of the day and the weather it was a bit of a challenge to find our panoramic suite. It was very dark, there really should be better signs and footpaths leading to the panoramic suites area. The suite itself was clean and pretty, and had its own sauna and hot tub which was lovely. The spa is rather small but has lovely saunas and access to the lake even in November. We really enjoyed a dip in the cold lake and then hot sauna afterwards. It is a good idea that the children’s pool area is separated from the main area by a glass window. We weren’t told that the spa entrance included free fruit, berries and green tea, we just happened to stumble across it. The dinner at the fire restaurant was good and we enjoyed the traditional Finnish food. However, the service was very slow especially when our reservation was for 8.30pm. The waiter also didn’t remember that we had asked for the cheese board which was actually a good thing as we had had plenty enough to eat. All in all, the stay at Järvisydän was very relaxing. However, the standard of service varied a lot and that is something they should pay more attention to.

We stayed two nights in the hotel. The room was very nice with all the nice details. The atmosphere was a little bit like on a Middle Ages. The breakfast was good and the 3 course dinner also. Staff was helpful. The Spa was really relaxing and nicely decorated. The snack in the pool Bar was included to the price. All in all, nice, but pricy place. The spa isn’t in the same building with the hotel rooms, so that was a bit disappointement. There also weren’t any shops nearby,so if you are looking for the grocery store, you have to go to the Rantasalmi. It’s 10 km:s away. That was a pity.
