My wife is a Titanium Bonvoy member and we were excited to stay at this property since we were helping our daughter move apartments and we hoped to find a nice base for future visits. That won't be happening despite the fact that this is quite a new, and reasonably pleasant hotel inside, for reasons I will describe. This hotel is located in what is essentially a commercial area, surrounded by car dealerships and close to highway 101. There is an entry area where one can drop bags and passengers and where is located the reception area. To the left as one looks at the hotel, is the parking garage and one obtains, for a small fee, a card to indicate your guest status at the hotel. However, the garage is in no way secure. Anyone can drive in there and by the looks of some of the cars (two people sitting in the car with hats pulled low over their eyes, no guest cards in most of the cars I could see etc.) it looks as though this is a place people unaffiliated with the hotel hang out. To be fair, we were never accosted or anything, but it can be disturbing when returning at night for reasons that will become clear when I explain the incident below. There is no apparent security there, no cameras that I could see. There are several chargers for EVs. The room we were given was very nice. Interesting layout that differed from the standard rooms one tends to find, large, clean, with a nice sofa and even a small balcony although, unless one enjoys looking across marshland and a Ford dealership, there wasn't much to see from our room. The bathroom was large and the shower excellent. All in all, much to like. I do find the fact that this is a ”no housekeeping unless requested” hotel a bit wearing but I guess that is a cost saving/staffing/covid issue we all need to get used to. Gone, it seems, is the option to opt out of cleaning in return for some benefits as a loyalty member. The staff here (with the notable and welcome exception of the bar tender on our first night) seem bored and disinterested. I can put up with that except for the following incident that occurred on or second night of three. My wife and I were awakened, at around 1230am, by an extremely loud ruckus immediately outside our room. Yelling, F-bombs, screaming. It was clear that what was happening was an extremely aggressive police arrest. Someone was being forced to the ground, cuffed, threatened with tazing, and finally marched away. Literally, right outside our room. This sounded like very serious police action. This is, on the fourth floor of a hotel, disconcerting to say the least. I understand that police actions sometimes happen but when we voiced our concern both in online chat, and in person the following morning this was the response: ”I wasn't on duty last night so I don't know. I think that some guests were being loud and the police were called”. No promise to find out more, to get back to us, and all totally disinterested and bored. We didn't hear any noise close to our roo

Other reviews that are positive on here are obviously fake and submitted by employees. Typical dump motel on El Camino real. Dirty, and I mean dirty: I had to clean the tub myself because only half of it had been cleaned the other half had cleaner literally still sprayed on it that hadn't even been rinsed off or whatever I don't know what the deal was.... It was just gross. I showed up at the front desk at 3:20 p.m., 20 minutes past official check-in time and was told by the attendant that I may have to wait for a room because only one maid showed up that day. You have to treat your maids pretty damn bad for them not to show up on a Sunday morning. They do that to get back at you as an employer. If they were just going to quit or not show up for a day, Sunday is the day to choose if you really want to hurt the establishment that you work for. I could go on and on about the things that are wrong with the room: the heater air conditioner reeks like rats or mice when you turn it on, the microwave smells like other people's food and the interior is covered in gray burn marks (there are nicer microwaves in this town sitting on the curb, free) ditto the armchair in the room which frankly is too dirty and stained for someone even to be selling at their garage sale. The DirecTV remote control was the most gross, I think, of everything in the room. Nasty spilled food stuck to it, Brown and gray globs stuck on it, just seriously so incredibly gross. Cheapest DirecTV package available with minimum channels available mostly channels that are selling stuff like QVC and home shopping Network or strange religious programming & foreign language channels. Bathroom fan so loud, I've heard quieter lawn mowers. Small parking lot. Neglected rundown property.

Days Inn by Wyndham Redwood City

The hotel hardware is OK, but the service is average! The swimming pool is unavailable! The parking is crowded and the car is full! The sign of the hotel at the intersection is not easy to find, it is not obvious, it is easy to overdo it as soon as it opens, it can only be general!

Redwood Creek Inn

This was the second place I stayed in Redwood City and it was soooo much better. Most importantly, it was clean!! Appears to have been recently remodeled, memory foam mattress, new paint, blinds and fixtures. The front desk employee (BM) was excellent - he was friendly, considerate, helpful and hardworking-he was always there whether it 8am or 9pm! Good location - Franklin Cafe across street-excellent breakfast, Whole foods next door, many other shops and food across street. Train located by cafe. My review is based on what was important to me HOWEVER, website says pool - there isn't one but there is a nice seating area where pool was/is supposed to be. When I was there breakfast is continental - juice, toast, muffins and coffee. I would definitely stay again!
Atherton Park Inn and Suites

Atherton was better than expected. I knew it would be nice, but this hotel was nicer and had everything we needed for our stay. Spacious room, spacious shower and bathroom. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful when you need them. Gym was great as well. The price was a steal for how amazing it was. Definitely staying here in the future. Check-in was also super easy and fast.
Good Nite Inn Redwood City - San Francisco Airport

I have to say The Good Nite Inn-Redwood City was an unexpected pleasurable hotel. I had booked a room for 4 nights in Burlingame, with my debit card. After a long day, & long drive we arrive only to be told there having sum issues. And we cannot check in. Mind you, it's the day before fourth of July . So we spend next hour trying to find an available room . Call after call gets us nowhere, and I am starting to panic. Then I call the good nite inn , & speak with Renee. She says she thinks there may be a c9ôancellation. She returns to phone call and tells me yes, there , is. She hears the panic & desperation in my voice. So she asks me how fast I can get there. Telling me just to relax & just get there . Needless to say .....she turned my whole bad day around into a beautiful. Holiday. Thank you soo much

The sanitation is very good, the room is also very big, the chain is quite normal, the American breakfast pattern is there, and there is nothing to look forward to. The staff is very nice and overall feels good.
