"Great experience! The service at the hotel is impressive. The warm and attentive staff, comfortable and spacious rooms, and delicious dining options all made my stay extremely enjoyable. The hotel's strategic location provides easy access to various attractions in the city. It was undoubtedly an unforgettable stay and I look forward to visiting again."

"Nordic style hotel, super safe. You need to swipe the room card twice to enter the room floor and elevator. Breakfast time is from 7 to 10 in the morning (included). The hotel has a free sauna for guests. It’s freezing in Iceland. It’s not too comfortable to use a sauna to cool down. There is a Japanese ramen restaurant in front of the hotel. If I remember correctly, it’s called Ramen Momo. It’s next to it. The famous Tintin Museum is very small in Leicester City and is very convenient to go anywhere. The nearby bus stop is bus stop 4."

"I traveled to Iceland and chose this hotel for a total of three nights. This is the first night(8.6),Everything else in the hotel is very good. The only terrible thing is that for the room on my left, I can clearly hear their phone calls. For the room on my right, I can clearly hear them coughing and talking, which is very clear in the middle of the night. I doubt whether every room can hear the sound like this, so I will consider whether it is useful to propose to change the room."

"A very good experience, the hotel has a sense of design, is exquisite and clean. The front desk staff are very welcoming and friendly. In particular, the Chinese lady at the front desk was patient and polite, spoke Mandarin very well, and helped us solve many problems. I would like to express my special thanks to her. The bedding is also very comfortable. It can be said to be the best among the many hotels we have stayed in during our trip to Northern Europe. Highly recommend this hotel"

"We booked a room on Ctrip but when we checked in, the hotel said they couldn't see the reservation information. Fortunately, there was an apartment (2 rooms) available for us. The entire homestay and apartment were very clean and tidy. Because of the ice and snow outdoors, there was a shoe rack at the entrance asking guests to put on shoe covers or change shoes. Guests also consciously kept the entire homestay clean like home. The front desk of guesshouse is not manned 24 hours a day. They will list the room numbers and names of the booked rooms and post them at the entrance. Guests can go directly to the corresponding room after arrival. A warm stay~"

AAlec Lyubomirsky (alyubomi)We started our travel to Iceland by driving around Iceland in a campervan, so we were hoping for a relaxing hotel stay in Reykjavik at the end of the trip when we pre-booked. We were not disappointed by the Eyja Guldsmeden. The location was only a few blocks away from downtown where there were tons of shopping and dining options, and the hotel itself was beautiful. In the lobby, we grabbed (included) coffee in the mornings and a reasonably-priced drink for happy hour. The service at the front desk was friendly and cordial. The room itself had a nice view of the mountains and was warm and cozy. It was a great stay and we would definitely go back to this hotel again if we are ever back in Iceland! Our only difficulty, understanding this is mostly outside of the hotel's control, is that some of the sidewalks on the walk to downtown were extremely icy and slippery after a day or so of wintry mix that froze over. We had to be extremely careful making our way down to Laugavegur, which had much safer sidewalks. There were even a few buses and cars that couldn't make their way up or down the icy, hilly streets and had to work their way around. So if you are going in the Winter, be cautious and walk slowly!

TTeacher HarryLayout of room was kind of strange. The bed is on a weird platform that might be difficult to navigate for less agile people, or those who are sleepy or otherwise impaired. Bathroom was overly small. It has a kitchenette, but no microwave. The location is in the heart of the most touristy part of Reykjavik. This is the third hotel I’ve stayed in while traveling to Reykjavik. The others, both lower priced, were not afflicted with the smell of sulphur (rotten eggs) in the water. It is possible to filter this out, and a person paying the price this hotel is asking should be able to expect better quality water. If you want to be in the thick of the tourist action and don’t mind smelly water, this place is OK. Otherwise…

NNavCLocation is very good. Walking distance to all places. Rooms are small but ok. We stayed 3 nights. First night we arrived 2 am and was put in a strange room in the next adjacent building which had no elevator to join. We had big bags traveling from very far to reach Iceland. Immediately I notified trip.com assistant and also ask to change room which was done next morning. Thank you to the hotel & trip.com The reception staff was very nice and helpful Breakfast was good enough

GGuest UserA recommendable place for sure to stay :). Close walking from bus stops, in front of places where to eat fast food and also the sea. The dorm was fine and good beds, without curtains. The kitchen was prepared with many useful cooking tools. Nice decoration, nice staff helpful and able to speak good English, they are prepared to receive tourism with maps. This is not in hands of the hostel but would be nice if they can do something: there are couple of guest so stinky, one close to my bed was sooo smelly, I was capable to recognize when he was not covered with the blanket, so disgusting, also the house keeping is nice to clean, but there is to many guest, the trash cans are so full and people do not wash their dishes.

LLivoryPerfect in all counts. Service was top, free private parking saved hassle of figuring out public parking space, rooms super clean and housekeeping everyday (we didnt really need it but they kept our room tidy everyday), very good furniture arrangement to open two big luggages with room to still walk. Reykjavik city centre is not too big so walking from hotel is not hard at all. Hotel is beautiful with so much art to admire, lobby decor was amazing and welcoming. I am just glad that on my return to Reykjavik from east of Iceland, we are staying there again before we fly off to our next destination. If you’re staying in Reykjavik and don’t mind a 5min walk to city centre, this is the place to book. One small gripe: bring eyemasks for summer as the curtains leak a tiny bit of light no matter how you arrange it (which is a common issue we faced in most Icelandic hotels).

MMebius10XFor East Asians, a true ”hotel” with complete services and equipment is still very good. Parking is right at the door, which is more convenient. It is some distance from the city center attractions, so it is not convenient for self-driving tourists.

GGuest UserLocated in downtown Reykjavik, it is convenient for travel and has a good surrounding environment. However, it is a self-service hotel with no front desk and you have to contact by phone, which is very troublesome if you don't have good language skills. The breakfast is OK, rich and purely Western. Attached are photos of the surrounding environment.

ZZhuangzhuangxingxingdandanThe room was very small with only two 0.8-meter beds. We checked out after entering the room but did not check in because the room type was not what we booked and the hotel did not have it. Later, Ctrip's customer service Baichuan helped us change to a new hotel. Thanks to Ctrip's customer service Baichuan, we have experienced the high-quality service of a large company in cold Iceland. Ctrip is still reliable when you are away from home!

SStefan-AusI can absolutely sympathise with people who struggle to get in and check in to this hotel. When you book through a 3rd party app, you do not receive your room number or entry code. The check-in process is then an adventure of trying to shout into a tablet near the front door, for a call that lasts maximum 2 minutes before it disconnects and you have to try again. The layout is… odd… to say the least, but if you follow the signs you can eventually end up at your room (if you find some of the doors that work, not all do). The maintenance person who broke into our room while we were out forgot to lock the door, so we were at risk of all of our things being stolen, which wasn’t ideal. The room itself was nice, location is good and as long as you don’t need anything, you are getting what you pay for.

GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is very close to the cathedral and the city center. It is also very close to the bus station. It is also very convenient to go to the major attractions. The breakfast is moderate and the service is very good. The towels need to be mentioned in advance, no extra charge. This store is worth recommending.
