Hotel Holt - The Art Hotel

The hotel is beautiful, clean, and conveniently located. I was attending events at the university, and it was an easy walk. It's also near shops and other sites, including one of the thermally heated outdoor pools. The staff was very accommodating. Also, it's aptly described as an "art hotel"; the art in the hotel, including my room, was original, and I enjoyed the variety and quality of the work.

The breakfast was really delicious, the service from every employee in the hotel was wonderful. The beds were not that great, and the rooms were too warm. I also wish they had better room darkening window coverings as it was very bright in the room. I was also a bit disappointed in the art, they advertise as an art hotel but there were multiple copies of the same picture in the hallways and there wasn't as much art as I expected. The huge bathtub was nice, but the small bathroom was hard to manage.

Fantastic hotel in the heart of Reykjavik, full of Icelandic character. The room was spotlessly clean, and breakfast was delicious! We will definitely be back when we next visit Iceland 🇮🇸

The location is good and convenient to everywhere.

The hotel is dirty and old. The towels have stains. The outlet is not working on one side. The staff basically asked you to check in yourself by entering the details yourself on their iPad. No service at all.

OLD STYLE HOTEL BUT NICE. EASY TO EXCESS TOURIST SPOTS (WALKABLE). FREE CAR PARK FOR HOTEL GUEST. NOT NOISY AT NIGHT.

The breakfast is really good. Very friendly service at the reception, they made you feel home. The style of this hotel is very homey, from the art to the smell. If you are looking for an Icelandic experience, over typical international brands, the Art Hotel will offer that.
