Good reception staff, trying to solve guests' requests. Good breakfasts, but monotony gets boring after a couple of days. Room cleaning on request. Cons: bad, dangerous, dirty area. Noisy under the window in the evening. Bad air conditioner, it leaks and makes the room stuffy.

The hotel refused to cancel the reservation even though it was within the 40-day notice period, forcing people to stay even if they didn't want to.

The hotel is located near the central station in the old town of Rio. It is convenient to walk to various attractions in the old town within half an hour, such as the harbor, aquarium, and museum. It is 100 meters away from the hanging garden. It is about 1.5 kilometers to walk to the Marquis Samba Hall to watch the carnival performance. The disadvantage is that the alleys in the old town nearby are a bit dirty and messy. You can choose to travel on the main road. The hotel conditions are not as good as domestic chain hotels. Of course, there are not many high-end hotel options near Gamboa. It is okay for a short stay of two days.

Very good, I loved the Gamboa Rio hotel, very fragrant towels, spacious room.

There are two things I can note. First, the way the hotel looks in the photos is different from the structure outside. Second, the Wi-Fi in room 210 doesn't work. It only works at reception and in the restaurant. This needs to be improved, otherwise it's ok.

Hotel did not reserve the room made when booking on the app. Room provided did not match the one on reservation. Very old bathroom and simple facilities. Simple but satisfying breakfast.

Well-located, close to the metro and light rail stations. The building is old, but very organized and clean. The breakfast is delicious and the staff is very helpful.

The room is nice and spacious. Great value for money. The staff is attentive and kind, and special thanks to Alida, who prepared an excellent breakfast.

The coffee is excellent and the service provided by Alida was outstanding, she was super polite and proactive, I highly recommend the experience.

Terrible location, when we arrived I was afraid to leave the hotel reception, full of drug ******* on the street, dirty place and smelling of urine. The hotel is not what it looks like in the photos, bad bed, looks like a motel, has a small window, if you open it you smell bad, so we had to have the old air conditioning on, which seemed like it was going to burn at all times. Bad breakfast, staff without hats or gloves, everything thrown around. In short, I will never go back, I had to order food from Ifood the day I arrived because I was afraid to leave and then I changed hotels, for one in Copacabana, I made a reservation through booking and it was the best thing I did. I had chosen a hotel in the center because it was close to the tourist attractions, but it was not worth it.
