We booked this adorable boutique hotel in Roccaraso with a great last minute rate. The location was incredible, every single staff member was welcoming and helpful, and our dinner at the restaurant was among the best in the two weeks we spent in the Abruzzo region. The hotel is incredibly charming. The entire interior is carved out of wood. The room was gorgeous and the queen bed was super cozy. There was a 4-piece bathroom with the largest shower of anywhere we stayed in Italy. This is a family run hotel and they were amazingly helpful in making arrangements to use bikes from a local shop and ride to a nearby thermal spa. Having a home in a high altitude environment (above 2500m) we were fine with the bikes provided for free, but they can also arrange ebikes. Dinner at the hotel was perfect from start to finish and breakfast the next morning was equally delicious with a gorgeous buffet. They arranged to have us taken back to the bus station the next morning free of charge and only wish we had been able to stay for a few more days. We're planning to return to Roccaraso again, both for skiing and for summer activities like ebiking and hiking and would definitely stay here again.

Un plauso a tutto lo staff “Ortensie”. Entri in un locale ed il personale di sala, accogliente, cortese e competente, ti fá sentire subito a tuo agio. Plauso particolare al personale di cucina….. Mamma mia che spettacolo. In due serate abbiamo assaggiato tuttto il menù e posso usare un solo aggettivo: SUPERLATIVO! Ottima carta dei vini e ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Complimenti a tutti. Semmai dovessimo ritornare a Roccaraso non mancherà la sosta alle “Ortensie”.

Abbiamo soggiornato domenica e lunedi e che dire..uno dei più belli in assoluto di roccaraso,stanze molto belle, e spumante in omaggio per gli ospiti, e non vi dico la colazione..e che colazione: veramente tutto buono Complimenti a tutti! Da ritornarci!! Sperando con un pò più di neve....

Abbiamo trascorso qualche giorno in famiglia in questa bellissima struttura ...elegante , accogliente e curata nei minimi particolari ... stanze pulitissime molto accoglienti , personale professionale e gentile ...cucina eccellente con cibo di altissima qualità . Ritorneremo sicuramente perché siamo stati benissimo , consiglio vivamente questa struttura ! Complimenti

Albergo delizioso, curato nei minimi particolari e molto pulito. Purtroppo è molto piccolo, nella stanza a malapena si girava intorno al letto e gli ambienti comuni interni sono praticamente inesistenti. Godibile solo d'estate. Menzione particolare per il ristorante, da stella michelin anche se non ce l'ha. Assolutamente da provare. Due consigli: 1) la vasca idromassaggio dovrebbe avere acqua tiepida altrimenti si può usare una decina di giorni l'anno, noi siamo andati i primi di settembre ed era già impraticabile. 2) aggiornate il sito per non dare false informazioni ai clienti (la seggiovia che offrite gratuitamente è chiusa e le biciclette che sono a nostra disposizione in realtà non ci sono)

Ci siamo trovati in questo ristorante curato nei minimi dettagli, cucina ottima e staff cordiale. Ci siamo fatti consigliare cosa mangiare dal personale di sala e alla fine la scelta è stata: Tartare di manzetta e vitello tonnato, come antipasti. Come secondo carne alla brace: Ottime carni di cui manzetta abruzzese (carne locale) E swamy... Buonissima! Un grazie particolare va a Luca che ha saputo soddisfare ogni nostra richiesta secondo i nostri gusti ed esigenze sulle carni offrendoci un servizio al taglio a tavola, come tutti gli altri consigli come gli antipasti e un ottimo pinot noir! Consigliatissimo ci tornerò non appena potrò! Grazie

Hotel molto bello e molto curato, ristorante molto piacevole è organizzato per noi Celiaci con pane pasta e dolci Senza Glutine, la carne, abbiamo sceltola Tomahawk e la Picanha che proviene dalla macelleria Colaizzi centro di Roccaraso (stessi proprietari) è buona ma purtroppo secondo me non cotta bene dallo Chef non facile cuocere bene la Picanha. Non do un voto alto per la presenza del cantante durante la cena davvero eccessivo, non si riusciva più a sentire nulla. Lo eliminerei almeno nel WK. Per altre recensioni così, seguimi e metti un Like che non costa nulla.

A pochi passi da Roccaraso, in posizione tranquilla, l'hotel "Le Ortensie" è un piccolo scrigno di eleganza e cura dei particolari. Poche stanze piccole ma accoglienti, pulite e ben riscaldate. Bagno confortevole e cambio asciugamani anche due volte al giorno. L'ambiente è quello di una baita di montagna addobbata per le feste. Le luci escono da tralci in ferro battuto, gli specchi riflettono l'eleganza delle sale, i rivestimenti in legno ed i camini rendono l'atmosfera conviviale. Il servizio ai tavoli è offerto da gentili cameriere in divisa tirolese. La cena viene presentata con stile gourmet, le ricette sono originali, gustose ma semplici. La professionalità in cucina no si discute, tuttavia alcuni piatti potrebbero essere cucinati meglio. La connessione Internet offerta dall'hotel è stabile ed il parcheggio nell'area antistante l'hotel è comodo. Consiglio l'hotel per l'ambiente elegante e confortevole e per lo stile unico a Roccaraso.
