Since I knew I would be arriving very early in the morning following a long flight and a 3+ hour drive after midnight, I called the hotel directly for advice about how to reserve the room. I offered to pay for the night before I arrived so that there would be a room for three women to check in after a long journey in the very wee hours. I was assured there would be a room for us. The night before our trip, I called again to make sue they understood that we would arrive after 3 AM due to a long flight and a long drive and was assured there would be a room waiting. After driving past many wonderful hotels on our way from a distant airport, I was greeted by a staff member shaking her hands and saying "no rooms" as I walked through the door. When I explained the conversations I had held earlier in the week she told me I must have booked at a hotel with the same city name but in UTAH rather than South Carolina. Only after I quoted the zip code to her did she decide to look for my reservation. She found it easily and told me it was not her fault that she gave our room to another guest while reading the exected time of arrival from my reservation. I explained that I understood mistakes happen and said that I would find another hotel. since I would be checking in at another hotel for the rest of the first night, I explained that I would prefer to not have to move back later in the day. I asked that she cancel my reservation for the second night and put in writing that I would not be charged for anything related to my reservation. She refused and went on and on about how she was right to give my room away because she should not be expected to read the notes on reservations made by her co-workers. I explained that I did not hold her at fault and reiterated that I just needed to leave to find another hotel but just wanted some assurance that I would not be charged because I would not be coming back that afternoon to stay our second night. She refused to put anything in writing without her manager's permission and wanted to proceed with check in for the next night even though she had no available rooms. I explained that I had a senior citizen with me and a teenager who both needed some rest and that I would would be leaving to find another hotel that could accommodate our needs. I tried to explain that since she was unable to complete my original agreement with the hotel which she had in writing on her computer) that taking employees of that Quality Inn at their word didn't work for me any longer and asked that she either give me a printout of the next night's cancellation or put something in writing that said my second night reservation would be cancelled and I would not be charged anything. She offered to call the police, I told her not to worry that my phone was handy and I called 911 and reported that I was leaving the property peacefully and would not be returning. When I searched for a hotel in the area, this one had pictures with rooms that looked decent. We entered the room, my husband smelled mold, saw a massive water stain on the carpet. He looked around the room and when he went in the bathroom there was mold in the shower. We left. I did advise the front desk staff, and they were happy to refund me. The three staff that I encountered were very friendly and that is why I gave them one star.

1 star for the receptionist Megan who was excellent, sadly this hotel must have been something in it “hay day” we should have known something was up by the damage to the car porch on its entrance. Appearances speaks volumes! Windows were boarded up & paint was coming off, didn’t even feel safe leaving my car in the parking lot. This hotel is in some major improvements.

The toilet bowl seat was up with unflushed urine in the bowl. Absolutely NO toilet paper in the room. The coffee pot was filthy with dried coffee and mold in the bottom of it. The old coffee grounds remained in the coffee maker. The bed cover had stains on it. There were spider webs all over the room. Very loud neighbors going in and out of their room all night with smells of dope.

I booked this hotel through hotels..com. First and last time! The hotel accepted my reservation and charged my credit card only to deny me a room because they were “out of room keys”. Getting a refund was more than a pain in my A! After driving from NY with my family I had to not only call hotels.. com. I had to physically go to the hotel so I could get a refund!! If this hotel couldn’t accommodate my family they should of never accepted my money, than expected me to bend over backwards to get it back. Don’t book here last minute EVER!!!

This place is gross. Was in the room and got bitten by bed bugs.. Dirty .No one should have to contend with a disgusting place like this. Sleep in your car if you have to. Quality Inn should be ashamed to have their name on this dump. Maybe their are talking about the quality of the bed bugs because they bite. I bought some bug spray to make sure I didn't have any on my clothes .

Hairdryer broken, outlet behind hair dryer broken, corner beside the chair not vacuumed, carpet either dirty or stained, breakfast was one prepackaged pack of 2 small muffins, cheap coffee that my husband couldn’t even drink (and he drinks a quart a day and has drank coffee at hotels all over the country). Front desk staff was super nice, especially the evening girl, bed was comfortable, bed and shower seemed clean, pool was closed and empty of all water. Not up to par as compared to other quality inns we have stayed at recently. My husband said 1 star review, but I gave it 2 because the bed and shower seemed clean and it was cheap.
