Hyatt Place St Paul/Downtown

There is zero food nearby after 7pm. Night time is unsafe nearby. There are aggressive homeless guys next to the hotel who insult you for being "rich" and staying there. But hey, the subway ride on the Green Line there was even more terrifying.

Staff at check in was not very friendly. Then we found out from another guest that the hot water was broken. It’s 9:30 pm and we still don’t know if we will have hot water for showers in the morning. Later we went down to eat and one pour woman was handling check-ins as well as the bar and restaurant. Poor woman was running all over the place. Dinner was not great. No flavor and thrown together but our host was trying. She could’ve used more support. The room was fabulous and the hotel was next to the train station so very convenient.

Yes...the room was in good condition and the staff was friendly. Saturday we had no hot water and had to take cold showers. Not ideal for cold weather. Would have liked to have had access to water for water bottles. Breakfast was less than ideal. Eggs were a bit farther away from real eggs than I care for. Would have liked an option other than Canadian bacon. Sausage and/or bacon is preferred. Couldn't watch the tv unless in bed. Would have liked to have had a tv in the sitting area also. The doors were too loud closing. I heard every door close on the floor and couldn't close mine quietly though I tried.
