Wow what a beautiful stay. William as a host was incredible. He offered an adventure trek around the local jungle to the lodge + lots of insight into the plants/ fruits growing, stomping in the river, swimming in the waterfall and having a mud bath at the end - fantástico! He helped organise our canyoning excursion, coffee/chocolate tour, plus a taxi when we wanted to head into La Fortuna (only 15 mins .. ask him anything!) We enjoyed breakfast every morning… deliciously fresh! And we had dinner one evening too - highly recommend the food, the accommodation (lovely views & comfortable rustic jungle feel) & the service from William as a host. Thank you William for looking after us so well… we hope to be back soon! Pura Vida

We stayed with a group of 11 people and it was the best experience I have ever had on any vacation. I was worried about the no AC thing but you don’t need it, trust me!! Windows open, fan on, I was cold at night. I loved waking up to the birds and walking out into a tropical paradise watching all of the birds…. Bring binoculars. The adventure hike was awesome and then you can walk down to the waterfall whenever you want. The food is amazing and the people even more amazing. William and Gretthl were family and we were sad to leave them. William does everything for you- like a personal assistant. He picked us up from a tour and we asked if it was possible to book an ATV tour last minute and he immediately called 3 places to find us a spot. He drove us anywhere we wanted to go and always checked that we were having a good time. Out of any tour we did (5-6), the team at Princessa were the friendliest of them all. William even entertained my 2 year old in the water when he was scared of the waterfall so my husband and I could go explore. They found us all kinds of frogs, even during dinner. I can write on and on about this trip. I would go back in a heart beat. It felt like home.

We had an amazing time at Princesa de la Luna Rcolodge. It was our first time in Costa Rica and they made it so easy to fall in love with the country. We’re overly satisfied that we booked this place. They are friendly, make it easy and hassle free to book your stay and reserve time for nature tours, breakfast lunch and dinner. We had breakfast twice and dinner once and it was delicious! We wanted authentic Costa Rican cuisine and they did not disappoint. The location was beautiful. We loved having a view of the volcano and being in the middle of the rainforest. It’s secluded from the main road but still close to the city if you need supplies or want to try outside food. There is so much to see and experience here at the lodge. We did a night tour with another company and did a morning tour here at Princesa. The tour at Princesa was amazing because of the waterfall and walking in the river. Glad we did both tours but the tour at Princesa is not to be missed. Thank you William, Andersen and team for making this an unforgettable trip.

I don’t know where to begin because I have nothing to compare this place too. It rises above, on its own. Not only in beauty but also in personality, the staff were so sweet and helpful, genuinely I felt among friends while staying here. You can truly leave all stress behind while staying at princesa de la luna.

a perfect jungle retreat with clean immaculate rustic accommodation with the right amount of creature comforts - hot water, ceiling fan and room fan, hammock on a large deck. the grounds with the swimming pool right in the jungle are incredible. the sounds of birds singing in the morning is heavenly. the staff are outgoing and helpful and speak great english. Our host Wiliiam arranged activities and transportation for us with ease . Anderson, an employee there is awesome! my sons and I were treated so wonderfully. highly recommend

We stayed for three nights on our arrival in Costa Rica. William and his team could not have been nicer. We had the three bedroom house which was great and did the brilliant tour of the farm complete with a waterfall dip - perfect fun for our eight year old! The pool is a five/ten minute walk with steps but when you get there it’s your own little slice of paradise. Woke up to toucans and parrots in the trees by our house - stunning spot, thank you for a wonderful stay!

We loved staying at Princesa de la Luna, we are a family with children age 14 & 4. The ecolodge is set in complete immersion with the rainforest, so you will experience all the weather (in March, this meant varying degrees of rain on and off) and the sounds of a dozen species of birds at all times. We found it glorious. It was an amazing experience for the kids. My 14 year old loved the calm (and the hammocks) . My 4 year old amused himself with sticks, leaves, rocks and the 3 dogs who visited us often. We stayed in the 3 bedroom villa. It was more spacious, clean and comfortable than I expected for a jungle cabin, and from some previous reviews. We had everything we needed to prepare some food, relax, and spread out. The 3 bedroom villa is a great choice. If you are looking for a pristine, well-sealed hotel room, you are looking in the wrong place. This is immersion with nature and there will be some geckos and insects in your room. Nothing that bites, in our experience. We had dinner once and breakfast twice. The food was delicious every time. And plentiful! The jungle pool was lovely, in a beautiful setting. There were tadpoles growing up in the pool. We were reassured it was safe to swim by an expert at one of our nature tours (and by William). We did the jungle tour- don’t miss it! I loved walking through the river but the walk was challenging for my 4 year old and would be for anyone elderly or with mobility issues. William and Anderson were very available and helpful in person and via what’s app, all day long. They set us up with drivers for our excursions and cross-country drive from the airport and to the beach. The drivers had nice cars, were reliable and kind. Princesa de la Luna is a one of a kind experience. You won’t just be visiting the rainforest, you will be living it.

I cannot say enough about the quality of experience our family had at Princesa de la Luna. We had our family of 17 ranging in age from 4 to 70 for my father's 70th birthday. The accommodations suited our family of 6 children and 11 adults perfectly with each small family having their own rooms. The property layout embraces the jungle experience with open air seating, kitchen and dining, incredible views and short, but somewhat technical, walks to 2 separate swimming locations. While all of this was incredible, what really sets this place apart from others I have visited is the quality and kindness of the staff. William and the staff are a group of wonderful individuals! We did the adventure tour on the property with our whole group and William led us through the jungle explaining what different plants were and letting us taste different fruits and herbs. We then hiked into a waterfall and down through the creek to the natural swimming pool where there was the option for a therapeutic mud bath. William and the staff also cooked every morning and night for our entire group and every meal was incredible. They even roasted a pig on the open wood fired oven for my father's birthday dinner complete with cake.

My sister and I came here from New York and it was the best get-away I could imagine. The location is incredible because it is close to anything you could need or want, but the lodge is nestled within a lush environment full of vegetation. The rooms are clean, beautiful, and very comfortable. I highly recommend Princessa De La Luna for a tranquil, healing experience with every need accounted for. The Ecolodge offers amazing food, a pool, massage, excursions, and more.
