Hotels in Dadonghai Beach, Sanya

The hotel turned out to be quite good, it justifies its four stars. The rooms were a little tired, but there was a kettle, a TV, and a refrigerator in the room. Towels are changed every day, bed linen is changed every few days, and the bathroom has a full set of accessories. There are beach towels and a mosquito fumigator. The breakfast is good, mostly Chinese-style, but there are also European dishes such as yogurt, scrambled eggs, toast, sausages, and more. The chefs are trying very hard, the food is delicious. How to do it, I would like the mattresses to be softer. It's a 10-minute walk to the beach, and there are plenty of cafes, restaurants, and shops around. the pool in the building across the street is clean and secluded. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel. The staff speaks little English, it's better to download a translator.

Good accommodation! The hotel itself not new - built in 2014. But all services and amenities functionality very good. Every day cleaning service, wide choice of foods on breakfasts, swimming pool area and etc was good. We got number in non smoking floor (10th) and that was very surprising (we’re not smoking so that was cool benefit) All hotel staff was friendly and professional. Unfortunately i met only one employee who can speak English. So having translator app on your phone is necessary unless you’re speaking Chinese :)

We stayed for 5 nights at this hotel. The place is located very close to the Dadonghai beach. The beach is clean and very well kept. The hotel has a nice pool, which we used every day. The pool is kept clean and looks very welcoming. The breakfast was served in the building on the opposite side of the checkin building and the breakfast had a lot of variety. Although, the cooking facilities are there, you have to pay 50yuan per day to activate the cooking facilities.

Came late for check-in but was room was spacious and clean! They gave me a free upgrade too. Parcel and food delivery was send up to me, making it very convenient. Thanks to 管家小林 for advice and assistance!

Immediately after checking in I inspected the room and found hair on the towels. Unpleasant. Our room was for 2 persons, but shower cap and hair brush just for one. Service was strange: one day maid disturbed at 9 to clean the room, the other day it wasn't cleaned even after 16. Twice we had to ask for water refill because day shift forgot about it. It is the first hotel I've met where water bottles are smaller than 500ml. Shower gel was presented as a small tube, not enough for two person. To feel comfortable in shower I brought a whole bottle from the nearby supermarket. Don't know why in smaller and cheaper hotels provide full-size bottles, but in DDH Hotel - no. If your room is near the elevators, you're gonna listen to them every minute, no sound isolation at all. Good points: breakfast from 7 tpo 12,even at 11 the food is still enough. European and chinese dishes, all good quality. Except baozi - not hot enough, stick to each other. Excellent location - 3 minutes to the beach, 2 minutes to market square (food market due to New Year). The majority of guests arrived in groups. If you are asingle traveler, you will wait for notice until the groups are admitted. A message about early check in was ignored, so I waited 4 hours for a room. Luggage room was just an area in the hall without any restrictions - ”you can leaveyour luggage, it is safe, it is ok”. Very ”secure”. I can recommend thishotel only in the part of breakfast and location. Single traveler can find a much better place

Nice hotel in a good location. It allows smoking, so if you're a non-smoker, make sure you book a non-smoking room. We had the buffet dinner one night, and it was OK. There was a lot of seafood on the buffet (I'm not a seafood eater, but there was still plenty to enjoy). The hotel definitely targets the Russian guest. One of the Service Desk staff spoke English, so that was helpful. The only downside was the open air markets that were set up for Chinese New Year in the park across from the hotel - live band playing loud music until 11pm. Earplugs were necessary.

I chose this hotel for my mother and I, having enjoyed my previous stay here back in 2021. I’d like to start by saying, the hotel is absolutely not to a five star standard, no doubt having been awarded this rating back when it opened however many decades ago, and never being reassessed. However, the location literally could not be any better(immediately on the beach), the grounds and swimming pools are clean and well maintained, the rooms and all public areas of the hotel are spotlessly clean, the AC works fantastically and, despite being pretty outdated, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The biggest problem here is the staff, most of whom are nonchalant at best. For an apparent five star hotel that seems to cater to majority foreign guests, seemingly not one member of staff speaks English, or even Russian. Most of the staff at reception seem completely uninterested in actually helping guests, even more frustrating most seem to hide behind ‘trainee’ name badges, meaning they can’t even be named. When I asked the three workers stood at reception if one of them could speak English, two didn’t even bother to look up from their computer, let alone answer me, instead mocking me under their breathe, assuming that because I asked for an English speaker, I cannot understand Chinese, but I can. I was also frustrated when the worker who checked us in, holding our British passports in his hand, set his translator to Russian to try and communicate with us. Breakfast was also incredibly chaotic due to staff issues, who seemed to clear tables at a glacial pace, if at all. I watched many guests wander around, unable to find a single clean table, with literally every one piled full of dirty dishes and not a member of staff in sight. Despite the staff problems, we still enjoyed our stay and would probably return, but just don’t come here expecting a five star experience.

Hotel is absolutely amazing! Location is fantastic. Rooms are clean an spacious. Brekfast is amazing, with lot of western optios. Jim who was our host was there for us 24/7. He was absolutely amazing! I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come again!

Great apartment! Very clean, beautiful view from the window, clean air. The hostess was always helpful and answered my questions and requests. Cleaning during the stay was also done quickly and on time. Very pleased with the presence of mosquito nets on the windows. Thank you very much! Strongly recommend to visit.
