"Excellent location! It's built right on top of the Big Dig, and artifacts unearthed from beneath 'The Rock' are even displayed inside the hotel. I was surprised at how large this hostel was, with over a hundred rooms. It's right next to the Opera House and the bridge, and only about 500 meters from the metro station. The only downside is that breakfast was a bit expensive."

Located in trendy Potts Point, Devere Hotel offers air-conditioned accommodation with flat-screen TVs. It features a restaurant and a business centre. Kings Cross, Sydney’s nightlife capital, is a 5-minute walk away. Devere Hotel is less than 10 minutes’ walk from Woolloomooloo and Elizabeth Bay. The iconic Sydney Opera House is just a 10-minute drive away. Devere Sydney provides rooms with en suite bathrooms and tea and coffee making facilities. Some rooms offer views of Elizabeth Bay. The Apollo Restaurant serves authentic Greek and Mediterranean dishes using locally sourced produce. The Devere Hotel tour desk can provide sightseeing advice and help guests with travel arrangements. Dry cleaning and laundry services are available.

"I have stayed at DeVere Hotel many times over many years. It is an older hotel so one must take this into account and expect a slightly funky smell in the hallway, and a shower curtain that you must navigate to not touch you while you shower. But the shower is strong and hot. My most recent experience was excellent as I was allowed to check in hours before the set time, and my room had a fully-opening window, something I value greatly. It was quiet and very comfortable. The staff at the counter are always lovely."

"If you want to enjoy bondi beach area, its a great place to stay because its right in front of the beach and plenty of restaurants and bars. However, if you’re a light sleeper, might not great since it gets quite noisy during night time from crowds partying nearby and also on ground floor bar. Unless you want to be part of the party crew ;) staff were super nice. It is quite small but has everything"

Hotel near Sydney CBD,Woolloomooloo
In the vibrant heart of the city, The Sydney Boulevard Hotel combines modern elegance with a highly sought-after location near the central business district. Generously sized accommodation offers FREE high-speed Wi-Fi and uninterrupted views of Sydney's sparkling harbour (Opera House/ Harbour Bridge) or city skyline. Spacious rooms provide a relaxed environment, a haven for families, while our Presidential Suite has an illustrious history of hosting celebrity guests.

"I arrived early, having not slept well on the flight. I was hoping to pay extra for an early check-in to rest, but unfortunately, all rooms were full. I had to leave my luggage and go out for a while before coming back. Across the street is a coffee shop, The Coffee Brewer, where I had a flat white, a Wagyu burger, and a banana cake. Then I walked past Hyde Park, St Mary's Cathedral, and explored QVB. I bought a SIM card at WWS across from Town Hall. I came back around 1 PM and checked in without any issues. The room was spacious; although it showed some signs of age, it was clearly well-maintained. The air conditioning fan was a bit noisy at night. Rooms are cleaned every 3 days, and if you need fresh towels or trash emptied, you have to request it at the front desk. The hotel also checks if you want cleaning at the scheduled time. There's a laundry room on the 3rd floor, but only one washer and one dryer were working (the other washing machine was broken). Each costs three $2 coins, and laundry detergent is $2, which you can get from the front desk. On the first night, around midnight, the fire alarm blared. I saw fire trucks downstairs. I called the front desk, and they said security was investigating the cause. I could already see people leaving the building outside. This might be a bit disorienting for first-time visitors to Australia, but it shows that locals have good safety awareness. Luckily, it was a false alarm. Note that there are restrooms only on the ground floor, but they require key card access. A very polite and courteous staff member in the breakfast area told me I could use the restrooms there. The front desk usually has fewer staff, and it can be very busy in the mornings and at lunchtime, but their attitude is generally good. For check-in, they require a card swipe on the POS machine for system records. The nearest bus stops are mostly by Hyde Park, a bit of a walk away. During my stay, the City2Surf event was happening, which made the room rates much higher that day. Overall, considering the prices in Sydney, it was still good value for money."
