I didn't have high expectations for the exterior, but the room was clean.
It was well-cleaned and very beautiful.
There were amenities such as lotion, milky lotion, hair dryer, and comb. There was no toothbrush, so I brought my own.
The shower room had shampoo, body soap, soap, cups, etc.
The toilet and shower were together, but they were a little apart so I could use the toilet without getting wet.
The bath was clean and mold-free!
The water pressure was good! No problems!
There were four bottles of water in the refrigerator.
For some reason, there was only one bath towel. Three hand towels. One gown. What about towels for three nights and four days? This?
I wondered if I had told the front desk that I would have received towels.
The front desk staff didn't speak Japanese, but they spoke to me using Google Translate.
There was always someone at the front desk!
Also, there was one conversion plug in the room, which was super convenient.
One type C conversion plug was enough for a couple to charge their phones.
There are two convenience stores nearby.
The station is 3 minutes away.
There are many restaurants nearby, so we ate and drank until late at night (until 2am) and they also have oden stalls until the morning.
It's extremely convenient.
Oriyaan is nearby, and there are many cute shops!
The NIKE shop is also nearby!
However, there is no place to exchange money, so you may not be able to use won unless you exchange it elsewhere.
I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
It was a bit far from the subway station and the cleanliness was okay, but the iron frame on the ceiling was still rusty, so it was a bit disappointing. I think it's okay for the price.
We enjoyed our room the most and felt that we had a good night's rest here. This is a semi budget friendly hotel that is close to the palace/park areas of Seoul. The room was clean and well appointed with two comfy beds, two good pillows per bed, a chair, cabinets and drawers to store stuff, a big tv, robes and sandals. The bathroom was nice too with good shower pressure and one of those shower valves where you can pick the temperature you want. The toilet flushed quietly and there was plenty of shower space. There are frosted windows in the bathroom which help let in natural day light but if your partner uses it at night you will see the lights come on.
The location was decent but the metro was further than expected. When we booked trip.com showed us that it was 330m from Dongmyo Station but it was actually closest to jongno 5 entrance 2 which was a 10 minute walk away from the hotel. The palace and Hanbok areas are very close to the hotel and there are frequent busses in the area to take you to the major attractions and areas. Nearby the hotel there are many convenience stores but there are limited restaurant options outside of coffee shops.
The breakfast at the hotel was ok. We found there was a good variety but if you went too early (7:30 am) nothing was out yet and if you went later (8:30) everything was limited. The hot items were not as hot as we liked them to be despite the heaters so it might be worth getting early and getting your food when it comes out so it is nice and hot. There were scrambled eggs, fried eggs, marbled cheese the one day, stuff to make salad, an onion soup, mushroom soup, fried rice, a hot vegetable (one day it was potato and the next it was mushrooms), hot dogs, cut up fruit, bread/toaster, cut up muffins, orange juice, coffee and tea. There was enough to get by and there are pricey a la carte options. The restaurant was a little drafty when we went but it was just enough to get us started each day.
The staff at the hotel were friendly and allowed us to store our baggage when we arrived early so we could go out and explore the city. When we actually checked in it was smooth and quick. The elevators are a little tricky at the hotel and you have to pay attention to which elevator is closest to you and press that button. There are two elevators but there are two separate buttons to call them so it is worthwhile looking where the elevators are and choosing accordingly. The hotel also has a coin laundry facility and a meeting area. The lobby is also nicely appointed with furniture and a small drinks shop but being there in December we wouldn't want to hang out there long.

Chinese people are cautious! He can only check in at 7 o'clock in this hotel! If you want to check in early, you have to pay more money. The next day you need to move your luggage out and then re-check in! But you can tell the front desk and pay more for the room. But the room is more comfortable than the same price! !
The front desk and cleaning staff were responsive and kind, immediately helping me to keep my window blind open and supplying a fan for my room (I do not like A/C). The room lighting was rather dark, and the furnishings were worn, however the bedding, floor, and surfaces were quite clean. The bottles of water in the lobby was a nice touch. Overall, I'd stay here again, but I won't go out of my way to do so.
The lobby floor seemed nice, but I didn't spend much time there, so I am not sure what else to say about that. I did not eat in the hotel. They supplied all the standard things like a toothbrush that I think they shouldn't in order to cut environmental costs.
My family and I went for a 2 weeks trip and during that time we stayed 3 times (we're travelling to different cities so we stayed in different hotels for a few days before coming back here again for another stay).
We got a free upgrade for our room in our first stay, which left a great impression on us who were tired after a long flight. The amenities are surprisingly a lot and they're really good both in smell and in quality. Even the hair dryer was amazing. We checked out after 2 nights but kept some of our big luggages there since we're gonna come back in a few days. The manager helped to arrange and took care of our luggages, and his english was amazing, making communication really easy. They stated that breakfast is simple since it's free for everyone, but I would say the breakfast is really good and really fulfilling.
The second time we got the regular room we're supposed to get in our first stay. We thought we will have outside bathrooms but no, there's still a bathtub, a bidet, great amenities, and even a foldable table. The overall room is still very cozy for the cheap price. We checked out and told the manager again that we're still gonna keep our luggage there till we come back again, and he took care of it once again.
On the third stay, my family asked for a favor (that I can't really disclose) to the manager when we checked in for the third time. The manager agreed to help (maybe since we're probably considered ”regulars” at this point) and even offer a bit more than what we asked, and he only asked that we give good reviews for them in google. Honestly, I've been planning to give them good reviews since the first stay, but now I'm convinced that this is such a great hotel with great people😆 I will definitely come back if I ever go back to Korea, and I will definitely recommend the place to others who are planning to stay in the area.
The hotel is on a small street, so you have to walk a bit from the main street to get to the hotel. The area around the hotel has a lot of restaurants, shops, convenience stores, and it is quite close to the big streets, bus stops, and even subways. It's a really strategic place.
It is probably the best budget hotel I've ever been in, and I will remember it for a long time.
To Manager Charlie, the girl staff and the night shift man that I don't think I ever got the name, Thank you so much for your kind service and help. You've made me and my family's stay really memorable and especially enjoyable☺️
Room was clean and staff was really friendly. They helped us to book our airport transport as we were checking out. Location of the hotel is also less than a min walk to the train stn. And the best part, it's opposite an Olive Young so no need to fight through a crowd in myeongdong or seongsu.
The accommodation is in an excellent location, with shopping districts and supermarkets nearby, and a 3-minute walk to Sungshin Women's University subway station
The room facilities are old and the bed is hard, suitable for a simple overnight stay

CCaelanThe guesthouse is within walking distance from Hyehwa Station. The nightlife around this estate is also very lively, so rest assured should you need to return back later in the evening. The complimentary breakfast served is decent - you get a choice of toasted bread with spread, instant ramen or oatmeal. This is coupled with some milk, fruit juice, coffee, tea and water. However, you will need to prepare the meals yourself and clean the dishes after that.
A caution that the room can seem rather small and cramped (for those needing a spacious design when selecting your overseas accommodation). My individual shower facilities also had a stench odour of what seemed like sewage, which was the main disappointing portion. If not, the rest of the facilities are good enough - e.g. The toilet bowls are clean and fitted with smart toilet seats, providing a warm sitting experience for those relieving yourselves during the winter season in Korea. The hosts were also very friendly, despite their limited proficiency in spoken English Language. There is also a shared desktop computer for your internet usage in the balcony, as well as a smart television in each room with internet-based programmes (e.g. Netflix, YouTube, Disney Plus etc.).
I will strongly recommend this accommodation to those seeking a value-for-money option, solo travellers wanting a communal yet safe space to have a roof under their heads for the night. Not for the introverted nature - you will have plenty of opportunities to interact and dine with many strangers, of which some might become your global friend!
AAnonymous UserI made a reservation in a hurry on the day of my bullet trip.
I was impressed by a beautiful business hotel in tripcom, but when I actually went, it was a love hotel.
Korean love hotels didn't notice until I arrived and saw the love goods in the room because there was no love hotel feeling like Japan.
But I was relieved because it was a type that was clean and could flush the toilet!
AAnonymous UserThe first room was so smelly that I asked to change it.
But the service was kind and changed right away.
But the next room ... toilet is a bit scary and the facilities are a bit ok.
