Miramare Sea Resort & Spa

This hotel is 3* not even near 5*. Not even sure, under which qualifications were 5* obtained (I am professional hotelier working for proper 5* hotel and I know, what a hotel must provide for 5*). Let me start with a good thing: view from the room is really nice. That is it! Upon arrival, no bellman no doorman to help. After carrying the luggage from taxi drop off (5 minutes walk, as hotel is in pedestrian area) there are some small doors to the terrace of the hotel, that were closed. When you opened it and enter, receptionist then comes to greet you. You walked in heat to get to hotel, because there is no other means to get to hotel, no towel or welcome drink provided to refresh a bit. Already two fails. We did check in, receptionist escorted us to the room. Showed breakfast area and elevator and terrace, when we got to the room, no information about wifi, just mentioned: If you need anything press (number) on phone. She mentioned luggage will be delivered. After 30 minutes waiting (standard for luggage to be delivered for 5* hotels is worldwide 20 minutes) I went to lobby, saw that suitcases were still there and I carried them by myself. Again, two fails. Breakfast starts at 7:30 AM. Because of the time difference and remote work, me and my wife came to sit on the terrace at 7 AM. At 7:45 AM we finally went to grab some breakfast, when on display it was only bread, jam, pastries, water. Eggs, bacon, sausage, cheese, were ready only at 8:05 AM. Ordered Iced Latte and Ice Americano, got two boiling hot filtered coffees with hot milk on the side. Table cloths are not pinned to table, so with a little wind, table cloth covers entire meal. Not hygienic and definitely not inviting. Clearance from the table non existing. We were actually pilling up some bowls and plates until eventually we removed them by ourselves. Terrace doors are kept open with two chairs from the nearby table to prevent from closing - see picture (when wind blew and close one of the doors, it hit one of the servers who was bringing us coffee and spilled this boiling hot coffee on his sleeve. And his reaction proved it was boiling hot, luckily guy was later seen fine). 5 fails for breakfast and definitely not worthy in 3* hotel. Room is small, no coffee machine or kettle in the room AT ALL!! With compliments only 2 small (250ml) bottles were given: 1 still and 1 sparkling water. Light at the entrance switches off automatically after some time entering the room. No one explained this! 3 fails from the room. Bathrobe had brown stains on it, definitely not hygienic - see attached also. Room service brought burned toast - see picture with extra order, that I did not even ordered and they wanted to charge for it. Employee brought the order and when I said, that I did not order second dish, he simply pushed me the pen and receipt and asked me to sign anyway. This hotel left me speechless, the hotel was stunning and the staff were amazing. The views alone though we’re the selling point. You have the absolutely most beautiful view of the Mediterranean from all the terraces and did I mention breakfast is served overlooking the bluest water ever. It is 1000% worth every penny

Most relaxing and luxurious experience. The place is quiet and calm. The rooms are immaculate and clean. Views from all rooms, and dining are exquisite. There are so many places to put your feet up to relax and enjoy the view. The food was amazing, breakfast buffet just kept coming and dinner was delightful. But the best is the staff. They are always around to get you what you need but never hover. The training of the staff is extremely well executed. I am well traveled and this is one is the best places I have stayed in the world, hands down. And the location is perfect in the little hamlet of St Angelo. Thermal springs, restaurants, shops, hike up the hill to Serrano. Just magnificent.

Outstanding views, excellent food, clean room. Hot Thermal pools were fantastic. Lots of outdoor stairs but gorgeous hillside property. Things to be aware of not covered well in Frequently asked questions. Spa is 1/2 hour drive from the Ferry ports. Either one. It is not so hard to bring a car on the Ferry. ＜$100 each way. Parking is off site at a 3rd party lot approx $15 per night plus a short golf cart shuttle with bags for $13 each way All good just hard to get the information in advance. We will recommend it to our friends.

Very happy with our stay at this property. The staff was pleasant, and very attentive. The food was top tier. The thermal pool access was amazing. The communication before the trip with the resort was great because they gave us all inside access on how to successfully get to and from the island. It takes a lot of planning when trains,planes and ferries are involved! Staff assisted us as much as they could and welcomed us with open arms. We used ferryhopper app to buy our tickets to the island from beverello naples port to forio. We arranged a taxi from forio..and a mini cart to take us to the resort where no car access was available.(Resort helped us with that) Welcome drink was key!!! Our room had a great view with AC and a balcony. We took advantage of breakfast daily and walked the town often. Staff spoke multiple languages to accomodate all guests. I do think we should of stayed one more day to take in the culture of the island. I am sorry that we booked too much in one trip,personally. This island was so relaxing and really so beautiful. We had a very nice stay at Miramare. Its location in the small, car-free fishing village of Sant'Angelo allowed my wife and I to unwind after some busy days of sightseeing earlier in our vacation. If you're looking for excellent sea views, quiet rooms, and relaxing hot springs, look no further. We noticed some other reviews note that they felt this hotel "oversold" itself in the sense that it pins itself as a 5 star hotel. We didn't get that impression at all. The staff was always ready to lend a helping hand, the food and drinks were top notch, and the accommodations were lovely (the shower and bed were fantastic). If we had any questions or needed anything, the staff was there to help at a moment's notice. We were celebrating our honeymoon, and they even had a nice cool bottle of bubbly waiting for us upon arrival - such a nice touch! Sure, it may take a few minutes to get picked up by the golf cart to drive you back to the hotel from the thermal pools. Sure, it may take a moment to get a cappuccino at breakfast. Sure, maybe the occasional breeze might blow your tablecloth a bit (we saw that mentioned in another review, and had a great laugh about how ridiculous that was). Well, guess what? As with anywhere, some things may take a second, and that's alright. If you encounter any issues, rest assured the excellent staff is on standby to help make your trip great. This hotel is in an extraordinary location that encourages you to relax. If you're not ready to relax a bit, perhaps consider staying in Napoli. For us, we were ready to relax, and Miramare really made that happen. Thanks everyone! PS - if you're looking for a great meal in the town of Sant'Angelo, go to Da Pasquale. The pizza was exceptional.

We could not ask for a better place to stay at than Miramare Sea Resort & Spa. The service was phenomenal, the whole staff was simply amazing. The food was amazing, the pools were great and most importantly the getting jump into the Med right from the little sun tanning dock was the best part of the trip. I can't wait to come back.

Amazing. We LOVED this resort and loved Ischia (it was our first time here). Our seaside terrace room was beautiful, and the private beach and pool were both fantastic and never crowded even though I think the hotel was nearly full. The service was also excellent- everyone from the bar staff to the breakfast staff to the front desk were wonderful. One day we had an issue with a scheduled boat tour that we weren't even aware of until the front desk had fixed it- 5 stars!

This hotel is beautifully designed and has incredible views of the ocean. The room was comfortable and always cleaned to a high standard by the staff. All of the staff were friendly and the ladies at reception were particularly helpful to arrange a day booking at a nearby beach club for us and made sure our transfers to and from the ferry port were seamless. Included breakfast on the terrace was a highlight with the waiters being very attentive and the food selection fantastic. Such a peaceful setting and never had to queue for anything. The thermal spa access was a great perk and only a 10min walk away. We never struggled to find lounge chairs by the ocean at the hotel or at the thermal pools, felt nice a peaceful even in the middle of summer which is hard to find. Definitely hope to return in the future!
