Xiaozhu Homestay (Shaanxi South Road)

great compact space, we had barely space for 3 big luggage, but with just 3 people it was alright for a couple days. we enjoyed the projector, although connection was quite unstable. Right outside the complex there are a bunch of cafes, good for walking around. I like the tea from shang shan nearby. order on the app and collect easily while waiting for the cab! also nearby is 24hr convenience store which we went everyday 😆 recommended!

A family of 4 person to stay here in Shanghai and it is seriously GOOD CHOICE if you're bringing a group of people to stay under one roof. Location is easy to navigate, if you have a wechat, the customer service will send you all details. We arrived late at night also can manage to get there, by dragging the luggage. There are three metro line(1,10 and 12) as mentioned within walking distance(700m). Use didi the pick up also easy to locate the location and there’s a lawson on the entrance gate.

The appartment is very cool and with many facilities but they put a different adress on Trip.com. So if you don't call them in advance, you arrive in a street at 1.5km from the real adress...

This homestay looks exactly like in the photo and I mean it. It has everything mentioned (washing machine, fridge, microwave, kettle, 4 slippers, 6 towels, toothbrush, toothpaste, hot water shower, bath wash and shampoo. There is also a dehumidifier. The aircon is only for the first floor and it is very cool. For the second floor, there is a bed with no aircon, but there is standing rotating fan which is sufficient for two ppl to sleep at night. The location is easy to find and it is inside a quiet 'nong tang'. Before you go there (2 days before), you MUST WeChat msg them to ask for the specific address and ways to get there. Their WeChat ID is basically the phone number provided (just search the phone number on WeChat; without '+86' and send friend request to 'Ryan'). Their location is very near a hospital (at first, your taxi driver may drop you off at the hospital, which is okay too. It is walkable distance to the homestay.) Very easy check-in procedure with digital passcode door lock. The place is very clean and white. There is limited space to walk around though, but we are fine with it (4 adults) as the price is already reasonable. They provide 'cloth hangers' for you to hang your clothes after you wash your clothes. They provide dish wash liquid, tissue and some basic kitchen utensils like 4 plates, 4 cups, spoon, chopsticks, knifes, scissors. Do bring your own laundry detergent/powder (they did provide but just in case it ran out). The place is near two hospitals and there are quite a lot of eateries nearby. Tips: We recommend you to set the 'main entrance' as your 'home' on the Alipay Didi so that your Didi will drop you off right at the main entrance.

It is a place that does the job right for traveling family like me and close to most city attractions. A very tidy and neat room that can fit up to 4 people and have washing machine as well. I will like it much better if the bathroom can be better since the shower tends to splash everywhere but not a big issue. The landlord has been really responsive and helpful too especially for first time traveling to Shanghai like us. Definitely a really worthwhile place

bad experience. they cheated!! location is their company address, while the actual homestay is quite far away from the location in Trip.com. Room wasnt clean, fridge smells bad.
