Hotels in Shangri-La

I stayed in the suite at this hotel. It was a great and very comfortable stay. Everything about the suite was elegant and built for comfort. The hotel has a restaurant that makes delicious Yunnan inspired dishes. The yak stew and the potato dishes were especially good. The staff was nice and friendly although language presented a barrier. (Thankfully there are translation apps.). The pool was a little weird though. It's presented more like a pond in the middle of the hotel rooms. There seems to be only one access point to the pool and there is zero seating. Its rimmed by plants and trees. Very strange. But thats the only criticism of the hotel. Everything else meets and exceeds expectations of a hotel. And its within walking distance of the old town.

It is what a good hotel should be like. The room is clean and the bedding is impeccable. The water temperature is suitable and they thoughtfully inform you that bathing in plateau areas should not take more than 10 minutes. The front desk staff are also very nice. The breakfast at Shangri-La is also rich and delicious. The key point is that you can tell from the name that the room can supply oxygen (you need to contact the front desk for oxygen supply service). You can go hiking at night without worry. You don’t have to worry about high reflexes. Anyway, you can breathe oxygen while lying on your own bed, so you have peace of mind😼

We had a great time at Tina’s. Beautiful location, pretty good food, and super helpful staff. There was a small mistake with their records of our booking, but they were quick to fix it (by upgrading our rooms!) and were patient communicators in all our questions and needs. They have a great setup with a big dining room and more relaxed coffeehouse space above. Nearby is a bridge overlooking the gorge and a hike down to the water. We will keep staying here if we come back to Tiger Leaping Gorge!

The location of the halfway house was great. Right in front of the mountains and easily connects to the path on the way down. The service was good, they had an English menu and spoke some English. Very friendly and kind. The room is standard but cozy with a beautiful view. The bed was comfy and clean. The air is so cool and nice that having no AC is not a problem. We slept with the balcony opened and had no issue. I definitely recommend the room to anyone doing the hike. It was breathtaking view that you can’t experience anywhere else.

Staff were friendly and kind. The reception is very welcoming and courteous! The location is good with it being half way between Songzanlin Monastery and Old Town.I would like to thank Vivian four her help. We did not have a car to take us back to the hotel in Pudacuo National Park, and she immediately asked her colleague to pick us up.

location is great for the town and Nappa Hai Lake which was awesome.A beautiful hotel full of culture. Beds are the comfiest in the world! Carol on reception was superb and help us out of a very stressful situation when the airport was closed because of snow. We were exceptionally grateful for her excellent english skills. Mark the waiter/ noodle chef was also extremely helpful. He spoke no English but was very patient with my Chinese. Many staff were off sick with covid as it was a few days after restrictions were lifted when we visited. Still everyone was working twice as hard to cover their colleagues. This lead to one of our rooms not being cleaned one day. Not the end of the world. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Service: The boss entertains you very warmly! We originally planned to go to Yubeng (later canceled due to high altitude sickness) and they helped us find a reliable local driver and provided a lot of information. Thank you very much! Environment: I posted a picture of the starry sky taken with an iPhone on the roof of a B&B, which shocked me for a whole year; it is very convenient to get to Shika and it is also close to Napa Sea.

This is my kind of place. I stayed in the 4 bed (2 bunk beds). There are drawers and and shelves to put away your belongings in a nice sturdy bunk bed that doesn't make noise when your move. It is a typical Chinese mattress, however I found it comfortable. It also has a heated mattress pad with 3 settings. The shower is a small room that is all tiled and clean, and it's separated from the men's shower. The toilets are also separated and it's a heated toilet seat. Rulan,the innkeeper, is super friendly and arranged discounted tickets to the Songzanlin Lamasery one day and the Pudacou National park another day. When I became anxious about the bus, Rulan was supportive when I texted her. One night she served a really nice tea to me and the next she brought me heated soy milk. I expecially like that there is a small garden and a outside rooftop deck. Washing machine is available for 15CNY and can be hung on the upper deck which has a nice view!

It's great, I recommend staying here, the boss has a very nice voice and nice people, 😁 Facilities: floor heating, bathroom, facilities are ok Hygiene: Very good. During the Spring Festival, there are a lot of tourists. When checking in, although there are many people, the hygiene is not fooled. The coffee beans and coffee machine are very good, but the camp owner's coffee making skills are better when the coffee shop manager is around. 【shortcoming】 1⃣️Boss, have you noticed that the screen windows of some tents are broken❗️P6❗️There are two screen windows in a tent and they are like this❗️ 2⃣️Although the tent has a separate bathroom, the bathroom door does not open inside the tent, which means that you need to go outside to go to the bathroom.
