This hotel located very close to Shimabara furry express ~ We stay for 1 night and found that very nice hotel 😊😊 Aunties (Hotel staffs) are very nice and helpful! If you wish to get a Japanese original traditional hotel I would recommend this hotel!! So impressed The room is clean and big which we can see the view of Shimabara sea and onsen also nice and relax.

The hotel is in a great location. You can see the sign as soon as you get off the bus at the station. It is just up the hill and only a few minutes' walk from Shimabara Port Train Station. It is very convenient to go to Isahaya Station. The aunt and grandmother are very dedicated to running the hotel. Although they don't speak English very well, they have strong communication skills. The rooms and the large public bath are a little old, but they are also very charming. The hot spring is super comfortable. We were assigned a room with a mountain view and it was so shocking when we opened the window! The room provides yukata, towels, kettle & teacups, toothbrushes and hand soap. The large bath provides shampoo & shower gel, cotton swabs and shower caps. There is no conditioner or skin care products, so you need to bring your own. The hot spring hotels in Shimabara do not require tattoos. We stayed in Unzen Hell the night before and did not see any notice.

I booked two rooms with friends and got rooms very close to each other, which was great! There were not many people when we checked in. The entire hotel has two floors. The second floor is the guest room. We looked at the lights in the room. It was probably just us and one other room occupier that night. When you open the window, you can see the beautiful mountains wrapped in clouds and mist, which is very enjoyable. Facilities: Very complete, there are also small teapots and tea fruits~ When I first booked, I was a little worried that the public bathroom would be inconvenient, but it was not at all. I only met one customer when I was washing, and everyone was very understanding, not intrusive, and very measured. The next morning, I went to take a bath when it first opened. I had it all to myself and took pictures of the bathroom when no one was around. The hot spring was very comfortable and the bath water was very strong. I was satisfied! Hygiene: Clean. I didn't wear the bathrobe provided by the hotel. I only used a towel, which was very clean. While walking on the first floor, I explored the hotel's laundry room. There were many washing machines and it smelled very clean. Service: Excellent! It should be a small hotel run by three Japanese aunties. They will put name cards in advance to store shoes. The room was packed up in advance and the bed was made. Auntie would personally take us upstairs to see the room. When we checked out, the aunt who checked us in nodded and thanked us. It feels like the relationship between people has become very pure in the small town of Shimabara. In the end, I forgot to take the bag, and my aunt chased me out to give us the bag. All the valuables were in the bag. Thank you, aunt. Let’s talk about transportation and surroundings. We took a boat from Kumamoto. The hotel is not far from the port where we disembarked, about a 10-minute walk. There is a big slope on the way to the hotel, but if it weren't for this slope, if the hotel was not high, we might not be able to see the beautiful mountain scenery. It's not far from the bus station. It's OK to walk. It's very convenient to take a bus to Shimabara Castle, Osanto and our next stop, Unzen. There are two convenience stores, 711 and FamilyMart nearby, which is really convenient. We were too lazy to go out at night, so we bought lunch boxes and heated them up in the hotel microwave. Compared to Unzen, where you can’t find any chain convenience stores, it’s so much more convenient. It is recommended that everyone add a breakfast. It is a very healthy, nutritious and Japanese-style breakfast. When you check in, you will be asked about the meal time, and it will be prepared and explained in advance. We don't speak Japanese, but the overall check-in was smooth and highly recommended. There is a small souvenir shop and several vending machines in the store (only cash can be used, Suica and other cards cannot be used), which is also convenient ~ Overall recommendation, next time I have the opportunity, I plan to stay here continuously and experience true relaxation ~ Every time There are smoking areas on every floor, which is convenient. Flowers make people feel good ~ The decoration is thoughtful. We stayed in a higher-end hot spring hotel in Unzen, but I still prefer this hotel with warmth! Hope we can meet again in the near future.

The room was clean and tidy, like the traditional Japanese houses in Japanese anime, with long corridors and various traditional decorations on the walls and corners. It had a great atmosphere, especially at night. I would not dare to go out if I used my imagination. Also, the facilities were old and there was no bathroom in the room. We had to pull our suitcases up and down the slope by ourselves, which was a bit troublesome.

The room is very comfortable, but there is no shower facility. You must go to the bathtub to wash it, but the bathtub is too small. But the owner is very kind and polite, and the refreshments provided during the stay are also delicious. In addition, the hotel is located on a very steep hillside, so you need to pay more attention when driving and parking.

It's a very traditional Japanese-style hotel. The room is very clean and it's perfect for a family of four. Right outside the window is Shimabara Port, and the scenery is amazing. Breakfast tastes very homely, and the miso soup and egg rolls are great! There is Kareki Sushi a five-minute walk away. After the owner passed away, my old mother ran it alone. She sells some traditional Shimabara somen noodles, Rokubei (yam noodles), udon, etc. The cold somenoodles are of a very high standard and are highly recommended.

Facing the sea, it is a traditional Japanese homestay run by a few grandmas. The room is traditional tatami and futon. The grandmas are friendly, and the breakfast is a traditional Japanese breakfast, salt-grilled salmon, miso soup, rice, tamagoyaki and pickles. Next to the bus station, the transportation is convenient. There are no separate bathrooms, there are public baths and baths. In short, it is a good review and a very authentic experience.

The service and hot springs were great, and the breakfast was delicious.
