Very good value, they offer a free breakfast although the good choice is limited. They also introduce restaurants nearby so it is easy to find one for dinner. There is also a supermarket on the opposite so it is easy to get some food/drink in case needed.

This was my second time staying at the Grand Hotel. Although it's quite far from the JR station, it's still quite convenient for those who don't have large luggage and can take the bus. It's a 5-6 minute walk from the bus stop and offers free breakfast and free self-service laundry.

A very quiet hotel. Breakfast was delicious and exquisite the next morning, and the hotel's bicycles were free to use. This is probably a residential area, and the AEON mall is not far away, perfect for shopping and dining. Across from the hotel is a karaoke bar and a secondhand mall. I found some porcelain and figurines there.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was buffet style but the selection was limited, but it was delicious and I was satisfied.

It was very cheap, so I stayed there for one night on short notice. It's along a main road, so it's easy to get to by car, but the parking lot is in front of a one-way street, so I had to go through a narrow road when leaving, which was a pain. As expected of a cheap hotel, the bathtub was peeling and the place was a bit rundown, but it was fine if you just wanted to sleep.

It's a bit far from the JR station, offers a simple breakfast, and has convenient restaurants nearby. Free bicycle rentals are available.

The CP value is high, and a buffet breakfast is provided. There is a Family Mart and a fresh food supermarket opposite, and a restaurant next door.

Although the interior is retro, it is clean and comfortable. There is a Family Mart downstairs. You can see the town scenery by the window in the morning (p2). However, it is far from the station. The last bus is at 18:00. If you miss it, you can only walk for about 20 minutes. It is quite comfortable to have a vacation in Shingu.

Facilities: The Japanese-style room we booked is super big. The only inconvenient thing is that the toilet and bathroom are outside the room. We were given a separate key, so we had to go out of the bedroom door every time. It was a little inconvenient. The hotel has a lot of information about train schedules, which is convenient for reading. Hygiene: Since the room is old and large, there are still some dead corners, but it can be ignored. Environment: There is a very large supermarket around the hotel, which is convenient for buying all kinds of food and daily necessities and snacks. There are several restaurants around, but since we arrived on Tuesday, Kumano Gyu and the two restaurants recommended by everyone were closed. Service: The service staff was very enthusiastic. Maybe because the toilet and bathroom were not in the room, they took us to the room and told us how to use them. Breakfast: Better than nothing. We went to eat curry rice at 7 o'clock, and the curry was gone. There was only bread, egg sausage, rice, and miso soup.

Choosing Shingu as the cross-regional travel for this Wakayama trip, the hotel selection should be said to be the most successful point. Although the Grand Hotel is relatively far from Shingu Station, it wins in its beautiful surrounding environment. A small river (Nishiichi River) is directly opposite the hotel. There is an Aeon store about one kilometer along the small river, which has rich items and can be visited. There is also a down-to-earth supermarket opposite the left side of the hotel, which is also very good. There are also many things to do around. The most attractive thing is a karaoke store mainly for students opposite the hotel, perfect 😍. The beauties and uncles at the hotel front desk are very gentle. It was a pleasant travel experience. The hotel scored 100 points. By the way, there is also a store selling Yakinshyo nearby, which is delicious 😋.

As a place to stay in Shingu City, it is a good place to stay. The distance from Shingu Station is acceptable. You can store your luggage to prepare for the next day's Kumano Kodo hike. You can take the bus line around the hotel to the starting points of the hike such as Kumano Hongu Taisha or Hoshinmon Prince, so you don't have to go to Shingu Station specifically. There is an evergreen large supermarket around the hotel, which has all kinds of fresh food and daily necessities. The hotel is clean and tidy, and the breakfast is Japanese standard.
