From the person who checked us in, to the maids, to the breakfast staff, they were all such nice and welcoming people. The hotel was about to close for the season. We were ready to go to dinner when we arrived in the evening. The front desk clerk told us that there was an employee party going on and that we were invited to eat there, so we did. Such a wonderful spread and delicious food! There were crab cakes, seafood pasta (including lobster), a carving station, and many more options. There was also a dessert table that offered many different sweet treats. The employees there were very welcoming too! We also enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs by the lobby fireplace and roaming around the gorgeous property. We would most certainly stay here again!!!

If you are a history buff, this is a grand old inn and you will love it! But, for the price, the musty smell and lack of modern amenities disappointed a little. Also, for the price, there should have been complimentary breakfast.

It’s an historically intact wooden structure with a fantastic huge pool. They do need to repair stuff - wood wiggles in more than a fer places. Excellent chefs but need to better staff for the off season

We very much enjoyed our stay. Our only complaint was that we were at the end of the hall next to a party suit. There was a conference taking place while we were there and there was a large party in the room next to ours two nights in a row. They were very loud until midnight. We were very grateful the restaurant was open late each evening as we were out late each night on our bikes and most other restaurants were closed by the time we came in for the evening. We also really enjoyed the restaurant food. The breakfast sandwich was very good. You have a beautiful facility and we will probably return.

Like the close proximity to Falligwaters. The food and service were excellent as well as cheerful and friendly staff. The facility is a little worn , but is beautiful and provides a warm and cozy ambiance.
