Guest UserOur dream vacation in Jeju with MJ Resort!
The hotel is located right in front of the beach and offers plenty of comfortable spots to relax and enjoy the beautiful seaside views.
Situated in the eastern part of the island, it is a very convenient base for visiting attractions such as Udo Island, Seongsan Ilchulbong, Seopjikoji, and Jeju City.
The property perfectly captures the atmosphere of Jeju. From the hotel, you can see wind turbines and even watch the haenyeo women divers at work.
Our room was spacious, clean, and had a beautiful ocean view. The breakfast offered a wide variety of both local and European dishes. Every morning, guests could enjoy fresh tangerine juice.
The hotel also provides a free laundry room with washing machines and dryers, which is especially convenient for longer trips.
I would also like to highlight the excellent quality of service. The hotel staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and kind. They were always willing to help whenever we needed assistance.
We absolutely recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again!

Jeju bus terminal stop-beware of the separate blue and green bus stop so you wont missed your bus. Naver map and Tmoney help your journey around Jeju. Mr. Peter, himself, messaged me first through trip.com about the time I will be there at their place, which I was hesitant to do that but luckily, he did and that was surprising. Also, he let me leave my luggage in advance. Staff speaks English well and hospitable. As soon as you check in, staff will provide the stuff you needed for your stay in the room plus the indoor slipper to switch with your outdoor shoes to be placed in the closet at the entrance. NO elevator but the girl staff offered to carry my luggage to the room. There is an area in the 2nd floor for dining—designated place to eat—with microwave, water dispenser, dishes and utensils, fridge and freezer, you can cook and wash your dishes. There is a small area designated for reading/relaxing in the 3rd floor, where the entrance to the rooftop(to watch Hallasan sunset and for 8pm projector movie night). 2nd floor for male guests while 3rd fl for females. Sleeping room(is really for sleeping, no room to stretch only in your bed—is very comfortable with one outlet and a lamp) is separate from the shower area with slippers(washbasin/sink and enclosed shower stalls-body wash & shampoo) from the toilet stalls and from the powder/mirror area with hairdryer. If you have a small to medium luggage, you can store it under the bunkbed. There are lockers in every room (a normal school backpack could fit). Walking distance to Yongduam Rock to Yeongyon Bridge to boardwalk for coastal walks—great cafes to watch waves & landing planes and local resto—to Jungang Shopping Street to Jungang Underground Mall to Dongmun Market.
If you like mochi, next door of the Mir is delicious and affordable Jeju Mochi which is priced twice in the airport. Convenience stores (7-eleven next door), chicken&fries and local resto around the corner. Mr. Peter met him during the breakfast. He prepared the breakfast—egg sandwich which comes w/black coffee or orange juice. He is nice and approachable. The Mir Guesthouse’s is designed from the Yongduam Rock, it is cool, clean, and magnificent. Solo traveling is fun—meeting new faces, different nationalities, cultures, and witness the amazing nature’s wonder.

Fair enough, for this price in this area, you can't really complain. They even provide toothbrushes and toothpaste. The only thing to note is that there are quite a few mosquitoes, so bringing some mosquito repellent will help you sleep more comfortably. I stayed for 3 nights and had no other issues.

Yuyurose
Women only guesthouse. The sense of safety is worth the price.
It’s not difficult to list what it to be loved about the place. Comfortable bedding, luggage storage before and after check in if you have a late flight, relaxing space on the first floor, cleanliness.
The complimentary breakfast made by the staff is above standards. I’m so grateful to be able to taste seaweed clam soup and Korean rice, and making your own eggs. But there are also options of bread and butter, and cereal. Fresh coffee, tea and water are also provided.
At the end of the day it is a shared space and not always perfect in regards to noise, sometimes it can be noisy after 11pm. But the girls I stayed with were very nice and majority of times are open to chatting and communicating regards to lights out times.
There was an incident with one staff member in the morning who wore black headphones, pink loungewear and had dark glasses.
She was a bit rude regards to surroundings and almost hit me while opening the upper cupboard doors and fridge. Later, she was also disrespectful to another Chinese guest who wanted to ask a question at the front desk.
Aside from this I truly enjoyed my stay here in central Jeju, and found it very comfortable and had decent privacy with the curtains. The guests were overall very respectful and I had the pleasure to meet nice people.
I look forward to staying here again if I visit Jeju again.

Guest UserMy stay at Jeju Emerald Hotel was very satisfying overall, and I would highly recommend it.
Excellent Location: The hotel is located in the heart of Jeju City, about a 10-minute drive from the airport. It offers convenient access to shopping hotspots like Yeon-dong shopping street and Lotte Duty Free, making it ideal for both sightseeing and shopping.
Spacious and Comfortable Rooms: The guest rooms are quite spacious compared to other hotels in downtown Jeju City. They are clean and bright, with comfortable bedding that ensures a good night's sleep. Some room types even have balconies, offering views of the Jeju city skyline or distant Hallasan Mountain.
Great Service: The front desk staff were friendly and enthusiastic. Check-in and check-out procedures were handled efficiently, and they provided detailed answers to all my travel inquiries. The hotel also offers free parking, so self-driving guests don't have to worry about parking issues.
Facilities and Dining: The hotel has a restaurant offering a diverse buffet breakfast with both Korean and Western options, and the food was quite good. The common areas were kept clean, and the overall environment felt relaxing and comfortable.
Overall, this is a hotel with a convenient location, comfortable rooms, and attentive service. It offers great value for money and is an ideal choice for accommodation in Jeju, whether for business trips or family vacations.

Guest UserMy stay at this hotel has been very unpleasant.
First, I felt like I was being judged based on my race. In the U.S., we don’t usually take off our shoes indoors, so I honestly forgot. I apologized, but the owner was rude and asked me if I was Chinese—which made me very uncomfortable.
Second, I’m sensitive to noise. I asked to switch rooms because the air conditioner in my first room was too loud. In the second room, I could hear noise from upstairs. When I asked again, the owner said there were no rooms left and that I’d have to wait until tomorrow. Out of curiosity, I went to check the third room myself, but the owner watched me through cameras and said I was ”weird.” I don’t understand why I can’t even look around without being watched, especially when I wasn’t doing anything wrong.
Lastly, there is some exercise equipment near the front desk. There’s no sign saying guests can’t use it, so I was curious and started using it. But the owner’s wife asked me, ”Why don't you go to the park to work out?”—implying that the equipment isn’t for guests. That felt really dismissive. Also, there is a camera in my room. I understand it might be for fire safety, but it still makes me feel uncomfortable—like I'm being watched.
Overall, I’m just really upset by their attitude.

Guest UserThe room greatly exceeded my expectations. A CU convenience store is right at the doorstep, and the location isn't out of the way at all. The proximity to public transport is also a huge plus. The hotel also provides a microwave and water dispenser downstairs, so I never had to buy water during my outings. What's more, the hotel owner speaks Chinese! For this price, it offers excellent value. I'd definitely book this hotel again for a second trip to Jeju Island. The only minor issue was that the hairdryer in the room was broken; I hope it can be replaced soon. It's essentially a self-check-in hotel; upon evening arrival, you just find your key card with your name on it at the front desk.

Everything was clean, from the front desk to the room.
The back parking lot offers an ocean view, and the room offers a great view of the ocean as well.
The proximity to the ocean makes for a great walk, and there's a 24-hour convenience store just a three-minute walk away.

Guest UserThis place is honestly not as bad as the reviews make it seem. The room is your average Korean hostel room (no curtains tho). The bathroom is a bit messy but overall not dirty. The location is very convenient if you are planning to explore the island by bus.
For the very little price paid, I would stay at this hostel again!
