3-Star Hotels in Kunshan

Overall an enjoyable and relaxing one night stay at this tiny cosy hotel in Zhouzhuang, for our final leg of our 6 days Suzhou trip. We took a didi over to Zhouzhuang, which was faster and cheaper than I expected, just a little over half an hour. The hotel staff called me the day before to arrange for pick-up near the watertown ticket office. Actually I can't speak Mandarin and their English wasn't too good but we ended up chatting on Wechat as Wechat has a built-in translate function in their chat. So, 15 minutes before we arrive, we just had to let them know on Wechat. And the staff is already waiting for us, helped us with the luggage and guided us through the ticket buying process. You do have to pay for the ¥100 RMB ticket to get into the watertown and the ticket is good for 3 days. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the entrance. I picked this hotel because it was right inside the watertown and it had the ancient Chinese interior, although all the amenities are modern, including a robust and high-tech Kohler smart toilets in each bathroom. There is a nice coffee shop inside the hotel and the coffee shop owner is friendly and takes his coffee craft seriously. The hotel gives you 2 free drinks during your stay and the coffee menu is quite extensive. If the hotel rooms are not booked on that day, we are told the hotel opens their doors to coffee customers. The hotel owner is actually younger than I expected so I am impressed she meticulously created this authentic experience and the attention to detail. She was friendly and helpful and was open to accommodating our needs. We booked the entire 2nd floor, which was 3 bedrooms and we had 6 adults in our group. This tiny hotel only has 3 bedrooms so if you booked all 3 rooms, you pretty much get the entire hotel to yourselves which include the first floor which is spacious and comfy. When I visit Zhouzhuang again, I am looking forward to stay here again. It's certainly not cheap, but you do get what you pay for - which is people passionate about hospitality (in a Chinese way) and also a hygiene and staying experience that is certainly up to international standards.

Our stay at Zhouzhuang Zen Yili was absolutely wonderful—a perfect blend of comfort, warmth, and convenience! Taxi can dropped us off within 1 minute walking distance away from Zen Yili. Zhouzhuang ancient village entrance is just a few minutes walk from Zen Yili making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing and activities. The peaceful surroundings of the homestay also added to the relaxing vibe. The hosts, both husband and wife were exceptionally kind and gave us great local tips. They provided us more than enough fresh fruits, tea, biscuits and mineral water. I was surprised also that the room was with full mosquitoes nettings with even anti mosquitoes device provided if needed. During our stay the homestay and its surroundings ware without mosquitoes. The room was spotless, with fresh linens and a cozy atmosphere. The bathroom was of five star standard for its fittings, and was very well-maintained. Before we checked out, we were given delicious homemade biscuits out of their hospitality. They also arranged for us a reliable and comfortable pickup after checked out. For the price, this homestay offered excellent value. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to couples, families, or solo travelers looking for a peaceful retreat in Zhouzhuang ancient village.

I had a pleasant stay for almost a week here. The room is clean and hygienic, cozy design, comfortable and built in with Tech and Smart concepts, such as voice command, Projector Screen for TV, electronic toilet seat, automatic curtain, and robot delivery of takeaway meals. Comfortable bed and pillow. Besides that, free self service laundry service is available too. Foods are delicious, each stay includes 5 meals per day, breakfast, lunch, tea time, dinner and supper ! Location convenient to Kunshan train station.

Our time at Hotel Zhaoye was lovely! The homestay staff were kind, communicative, and accommodating. They offered Chinese and Western breakfast options, including meatless options for vegetarians. The beds were comfortable and the room was cozy. The location of the homestay was perfect for those visiting Zhaozhuang. The staff recommended local restaurants and activities. It was easiest to communicate via Weixin/Wechat or in-person. Would recommend!

This inn is in such a beautiful location. I only stayed one night, but definitely want to come back and stay longer. The host was warm and friendly. We connected on WeChat the day before and she provide a waypoint for gps when booking a car. She met up with me in the pedestrian street outside of the town’s gate to guide me in and helped with the luggage. The location is very convenient. This is an ancient town so the street surfaces are stone slabs and uneven cobblestones. But going in is mostly smooth, cross one bridge and the inn is right there, about as close to the entrance and as least hassle as you can get. The waterway in front of the inn is travelled by the row boats whether they’re on the day or evening tour route so there’s plenty to people watch from the balcony. Overall a great place, great host, and highly recommended. Little tip, if you can store luggage at the airport or train station, take only what you need for your stay so you don’t have too much luggage to weigh you down for the trek in and out. The balcony rooms are walkup only.

自駕車直接停在後門，很方便～寵物友好太加分了，另外臨河的View也是無敵好，陽光燦爛得日子真是太美好了 房費含1節陶藝課，這個還是很值，因為老師很認真、耐心，小朋友們玩得特別開心～～這屬於最大特色，這次朋友多，家庭出遊為主，一行人晚上在大廳桌遊，像家一樣自在～ 管家笑嘻嘻的，很熱心、羣內也及時溝通服務，晚上還點了蚊香防蚊，早餐也是可口的，特別是玉米，一吃就知是村裡自己的。所以，整體感受都不錯的。個人覺得畢竟開了8年的民宿，硬件跟村裡新開的有差距，但民宿最重要的差異化優勢應該還是迴歸服務人本身，整體來説性價比不錯，值得認真寫個點評，做一次推薦

Very nice spacious room, friendly staff, good neighborhood. Don't chose room that overlooks inner yard unless you want to wake up with sound of kids songs. When I came to my room I was greeted with empty water bottle on the floor at the door, as well spotted bits of trash here and there... Breakfast is good but don't expect anything western except of toasts and coffee. Other than that I liked my stay, nice and quiet (most of time). Also there is swimming pool in sports center 5 min away from hotel :) and cafes

I cannot recommend this place enough, like living inside a magical fairytale! Zhouzhuang itself is one of the most beautiful places I've visited, and getting to live in a hotel that looks right out of history but with all modern comforts was such a special experience! The room was spacious and beautiful, with large, comfortable beds, and a nice, big clean bathroom. Outside it was a beautiful courtyard with a large osmanthus tree in full bloom, the scent perfuming the air whenever we left the door open. The owner, Fei, was super friendly and helpful - we communicated through the hotel's wechat beforehand and she came to meet us at the nearest gate to the ancient town to help guide us through getting tickets, and then helping us carry our luggage to the hotel. On the day we left it was raining, and not only did the hotel staff carry our luggage back outside the town, we were given umbrellas to keep so we wouldn't get wet while waiting for our didi ride. The hotel itself doesn't serve breakfast, but there are lots of restaurants and little snack shops and juice bars around, so finding delicious things to eat and drink is easy. We stayed here while heading over to Suzhou to visit the gardens, it's about an hour's taxi drive away. A very immersive cultural experience! A magical stay all around, I really hope I will be able to come back and visit again one day!

I arrived at 8 p.m., but they picked me up at the parking lot after I dropped off my taxi, making it a comfortable stay. It was almost right past the ticket office, which was really convenient if you have a lot of luggage. The room was spacious and clean, and the terrace offered a beautiful view. It was hot in the middle of summer, so I couldn't stay outside for long, but I think it would be nice to have tea in the spring and fall. The air conditioning worked well. When I took a taxi back to Shanghai, they even took me to the taxi stand, so I was able to enjoy the ride comfortably even in the blazing sun. This was my second visit to Zhouzhang, but I felt so comfortable and relaxed that I'd like to come back again, alone, and stay a day or two.

Facilities: Exactly the same as the pictures shown, the difference is that they are a little older than the pictures. The air conditioner is very powerful. It is recommended that there be a partition between the shower and toilet in this bathroom. Even if you draw a shower curtain, it is a bit cold to take a shower with the air conditioner on in early April. After all, there is no air conditioner in the bathroom. And in this case, after taking a shower, I can’t control the water that will be brought into the room, making it wet (¯―¯٥) Environment: It is only 200 to 300 meters away from the scenic spot, and the location is excellent! We almost got up early in the morning to go to the scenic spot to eat a bowl of noodles, and we could also go shopping and have coffee before coming back in the evening, which was great👍🏻 Hygiene: I arrived at the store after ten o'clock. I was unlucky and met a family who was sleeping in. They went out to have breakfast at eleven fifty. They sat in the yard and waited until twelve twenty before checking out. The aunt cleaned it and we hurried in. After resting, the smell of smoke was very strong in the room when the door was opened. It took five minutes to open the window to ventilate and it got better. Nowadays, most hotels have a 14:00 check-in policy, which is really a headache! Service: The bosses were very considerate. They were waiting on the roadside when we were about to arrive and even left a parking space. Thank you! Summary: A very cost-effective B&B where you can stay for a few more days if you have time! If you don’t go out for a walk, just sit on the sofa and watch the sunrise in the morning and the sunset in the evening. It’s quite pleasant (*＾ー＾)
