4-Star Hotels in Changchun

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The service in all areas was excellent. The front desk staff were warm, friendly, and very helpful. The housekeeping staff were also very efficient, attentive, and kind, which made our stay very comfortable. The restaurant service was especially impressive. My husband is American and is not used to using chopsticks, so we truly appreciated that the staff thoughtfully provided him with a knife and fork every morning without us even needing to ask. It made him feel very comfortable and well cared for. The breakfast was delicious and offered a wide variety of choices. The restaurant manager was very attentive and asked about our food preferences. On our last day, we mentioned that we would like to try sweet and sour pork, and the manager kindly arranged it for us. We were very touched by such thoughtful and warm service. Overall, we are very grateful for the kindness and excellent service. It truly made our stay memorable.

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the subway station. The night market and botanical garden are just a few minutes' walk away, making it super convenient to get to all the nearby attractions. The hotel staff were attentive, the room was clean and tidy, and the breakfast was very generous. My child and I had a very comfortable stay. Due to a change in weather, we had to check out a day early, and the front desk staff were incredibly helpful with the process. They even gave us a thoughtful souvenir. This hotel truly cares about its guests and is definitely worth revisiting!

My family ended up originally booking for one night but added two more nights. The non smoking room was nice smelling, clean and bed was comfy. The location was suitable as we had personal business to do in the area but near motian mall where kids can play at Meland and lots of restaurants around. I was impressed with the service at the hotel to do our laundry, with check out times and overall information. I also think you can check out at 6 pm which is super convenient. The breakfast was good. The chinese side of the family enjoyed it, and as a westerner I found it suitable to have eggs, toast, and coffee. The coffee is an automatic expresso machine and NOT packets which was wonderful and tasted normal for western standards. We stayed during the week and really found the hotel to be quiet and could sleep well. The gym is good as well with enough equipment for a suitable workout. Overall, we were pleased with the hotel and would stay here again. If I did have one minor complaint, It may have been one day when we were checking in two men started smoking in the lobby right by a non smoking sign which caused my daughter and I to leave the lobby for a few minutes so it would be nice if the hotel front desk enforced that especially with the signs up. Saying that, Changchun is a place where people tend to not abide by smoking signs but still be nice to have the staff politely address that.

Overall Review: The hotel service is excellent, but the facilities and management are mediocre. Pros: The hotel front desk and other staff are warm, attentive, and always ready to answer questions. Even when contacting the front desk at night to ask for water, they respond immediately, making guests feel right at home. Cons: 1. The hotel tolerates guests illegally smoking in indoor public areas: The hotel has standing ashtrays at elevator entrances (see image three), which implicitly encourages guests to smoke indoors illegally. Furthermore, when a guest from room 703 was smoking at the elevator entrance, hotel staff did not intervene (according to the 'Changchun Patriotic Health Regulations,' all indoor public places, workplaces, and public transportation across the city are completely smoke-free. Those who smoke in no-smoking areas and refuse to comply with warnings should be fined up to 500 yuan). 2. Hotel bathroom facilities need improvement: When showering normally in the hotel, the drainage system would severely clog every time (see images one and two), leading to extensive flooding and posing a serious safety hazard. 3. The hotel's air conditioning heating capacity is poor: Even with the temperature set to maximum, the mode to heating, and the fan speed to highest, the air conditioner remained unresponsive (current temperatures in Changchun range from approximately -21 to -11 degrees Celsius).

Annie at the front desk was so welcoming with her warm smile! We booked two rooms this time, and both were clean and comfortable. Plus, we got free parking during our stay. The surrounding amenities are excellent too. Definitely a top choice for a hotel!

The hotel environment is comfortable and quiet. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The whole design is well-thought-out with no car noise, and the soundproofing in the rooms is excellent, making them very quiet. All the facilities are complete, and there's even a gym. The location is also superb, right across from Yuanshengju Shuanrou (a hotpot restaurant), and next to Xintiandi shopping mall, making it a great choice for travelers! The biggest surprise was definitely the spiral staircase – it was my first time getting such great photos inside a hotel!

This hotel is only a 4-5 minute walk from People's Square metro station, and it's tucked away on a small street off a main road. This makes it incredibly convenient for getting around and dining, while also shielding you from the hustle and bustle of the main thoroughfare – it truly feels like a hidden gem in the city. Since it just opened last year, all the facilities are brand new and there are no strange odors, making it perfect for a stay. The friendly guy at the front desk gave us an upgrade and even arranged for my family members to be on the same floor, which was very thoughtful. The room wasn't huge but perfectly adequate. All the hotel staff were polite and friendly, always greeting us with a smile. Overall, it was a stay that exceeded our expectations.

We stayed in this hotel during the Golden Week and booked a basic double room...you can imagine our surprise when we were upgraded for free in a beautiful and spacious suite! The room had 1 full bathroom with bathtub and another smaller bathroom with only the toilet and sink, a big living room with sofa, table and mini fridge, an office corner and a second room with bed, table, an ottoman and an amazing view!! The bed was extremely comfortable, even if a little small. The room also provided tea, coffee, several bottles of water and toiletries. We also had breakfast included and I was pleasantly surprised by the choice of both Chinese food and some Western (croissants, small waffles, banana bread, fruits, yogurt, juice, jams and butter). The location is pretty central but also far from crowds and noisy areas. There are 2 metros not too far away and the beautiful park Nan hu. All in all a very nice stay!

I was very satisfied with my stay. The room was spacious and well-ventilated. The front desk staff were polite and communicative. The breakfast was plentiful, and I loved that a robot delivered my takeout directly to the room! The housekeeping staff were attentive and proactive in asking if I needed anything. The hotel's location is excellent. I accidentally left a charger when I checked out, but when I called, they found it within minutes and immediately arranged for it to be mailed back to me. It arrived the very next day! I'm truly grateful for their excellent service.

The staff were overall very polite and hospitable during our stay. For instance, they helped fixed our room’s defective thermostat and promptly delivered us additional toiletries to our room by request. The breakfast area had a large selection of foods to choose from, allowing guests to customize their own plates to their liking. There was also a professional chef present to cook up additional dishes, such as fried eggs and noodles - both of which were excellently made. The room we were given, however, did not have a good ventilation system as there were multiple instances where the smell of cigarettes flooded into our room. Consequently, this forced us to open our window to air out the room. Our bathroom door also could not lock - let alone close at all. We hope that only our room was affected. With all said, our overall experience at this hotel was pleasant and we would recommend anyone visiting Changchun to come stay at this hotel.
