5-Star Hotels in Abu Dhabi

I can't recommend this Shangri-La enough! The hotel is directly opposite the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque 🕌. The evening sunset, with the mosque visible across the water, creates an absolutely breathtaking view! While I've witnessed countless sunsets in many places, this one still managed to leave a truly profound impression on me! We were traveling as a family and had booked two rooms. One room had a good view, but the other was unfortunately facing a rocky, undeveloped area. After discussing this with the front desk, the staff member, while not overtly warm, was responsive to our questions. The issue was then escalated to a manager who swiftly offered a satisfactory solution: an upgrade to a suite! The view and spaciousness of the suite were truly unbeatable! Considering the price we paid through Ctrip, it offered incredible value for money.

The location is absolutely excellent. It's right next to the large Al Wahda Mall, and there's a Lulu Hypermarket conveniently located downstairs, so you can find anything you need and dining options are plentiful. I booked a rate including breakfast, and it was incredibly rich and varied, with Chinese, Western, Indian, Pakistani, and Arabic options, all with Chinese names on the menu! The room was spacious, cleaned promptly, very tidy, and had a great view. I would definitely choose this place again if I have the chance.

The hotel's biggest advantage is its location right on the Yas Marina Circuit. However, our room was on the second floor, and the large balcony obstructed the view of the track. If you want a good view of the circuit from your room, it's best to request a room on the third floor or higher. Check-in was very quick. During the Chinese New Year, there were many Chinese guests, and we even received special chocolate gifts. There are also many Indian guests at the hotel, and the breakfast offers a dedicated Indian section. Of course, there's Chinese food too, though not a huge variety. They had spring rolls, stir-fried rice noodles with Laoganma chili crisp and pickled mustard, and steamed fish which was decent. The pan-fried dumplings were the most popular; a fresh plate would be half-gone by the time I looked away. You can order eggs made to your liking; I had Eggs Benedict two days in a row. Breakfast gets very crowded, but you get a great view of a large section of the racetrack, which is fantastic. The shuttle service to the theme parks is very convenient and available at all times. However, to get to the actual racetrack, you'll need a taxi, which was reasonably priced at 12 dirhams.

Really spacious room, lots of closet space, and huge bathroom. Amenities wise, it was really upsetting that the adult-only pool was too full so we got rejected and had to use the family pool. And next to the family pool, there was a really loud construction happening so it wasn't a relaxing time by the pool.

The room cleaning frequency isn't quite up to Dubai hotel standards. At mealtime, my friend joined us. Our room included two meals, while my friend's room only included breakfast. We wanted the free meals to be served as free, and the paid meals to be paid for normally. However, the Asian hostess who seated us showed an impatient expression before we even spoke, and immediately assumed we had exceeded the guest limit. That felt a bit offensive. However, the hotel's pool, food, and kids' club (the staff even joined in the exercises!) were all pretty good. The toilet in our room had a completely enclosed wooden door, which made the kids scared to use it alone, so an adult had to go with them every time. We didn't take their shuttle bus to the theme park because it showed a 30-minute wait and another 30 minutes to get there. We just took a taxi instead, which wasn't too far, about 15 minutes by taxi. The taxi fare was a bit expensive, but the kids couldn't wait any longer. The chocolate at this hotel is amazing!

This hotel is located within the Etihad Towers complex, famous as a filming location for 'Fast & Furious 7.' It offers stunning views of the eight-star Emirates Palace Hotel and the Presidential Palace, especially from the hotel's 74th-floor observation deck, which provides a beautiful 360-degree panorama of Abu Dhabi. The lobby features a high-ceiling design and live piano music in the evenings, creating an elegant and sophisticated atmosphere. The large pool connects directly to the beach, with two or three restaurants conveniently located nearby, adding to the comfort. The guest rooms are situated on higher floors and are quite spacious. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer uninterrupted views of the sea and the buildings across the way. The service is warm and meticulous. Staff proactively greet you and are always ready to help with luggage or call a taxi. They truly strive to assist with any request you might have. Walking to the Presidential Palace takes about 15 to 20 minutes, which was very convenient for us, being seniors. The buffet breakfast offers a wide variety of dishes. Highlights include fresh-squeezed fruit and vegetable juices, propolis, and a DIY chocolate skewer station, which was fantastic. The hotel's Italian restaurant serves authentic cuisine. The pizzas, baked fresh in a stone oven, were exceptionally delicious (unaffected by the strong flavors sometimes found in Middle Eastern cuisine). We ended up dining there twice.

Our family had a pleasant three-night stay at VOGO Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa from 29 December to 1 January, enjoying the comfortable facilities and beautiful golf course surroundings. Overall, it was a positive experience with a few areas that could be improved. The hotel provides valet parking, which is very convenient, especially when traveling with children and luggage. Most staff we encountered were polite and helpful, although service quality can feel inconsistent at times. One minor disappointment was the check-in experience: the receptionist shook her body in a dismissive way while speaking to us, which did not match the professional standards expected of a five-star hotel. Our room was spacious and generally clean, with the highlight being the lovely golf club view from the window, which made our stay feel relaxing and resort-like. Cleanliness was acceptable, with housekeeping keeping the room in reasonable condition, though not outstanding compared with some other luxury properties. On the first day, the pump of the shower gel dispenser was not working, which was inconvenient after a long day.After we left a note for the hotel on the second morning, the issue was fixed promptly, and the dispenser worked properly for the rest of the stay, showing that the team is responsive once informed. Breakfast was good, with a nice variety of options including Middle Eastern and international fusion dishes that suited both adults and children. A special thanks to Ms. Getrude at the restaurant: she was very caring toward our child, spoke to her warmly, and even remembered our daughter’s name on the second day, which made us feel genuinely welcomed. Overall, this resort offers a relaxing golf-view environment, convenient valet parking, and a good breakfast selection, making it a comfortable choice for families. With some refinement in front-desk attitude and more attention to small in-room maintenance issues, it has the potential to deliver a consistently five-star experience.

I booked a package that explicitly advertised a room upgrade opportunity. When I noticed that no upgrade had been provided, I asked about it at the front desk. I was immediately told that upgrades were “subject to availability” and it is unavailable... After I pointed out that Abu Dhabi hotels are nowhere near full at the moment, she still said it is nearly full because it's weekend. Well lets check out the 'full occupancy' photos i attached.... :) Only after I firmly pushed back did she reluctantly offer an alternative, a garden-view room. Since I wasn't interested in a garden view, I requested what should have been my original category preference: an unblocked city view. The alternative she eventually offered was a higher-floor, but with a twin room with even more side-facing view. Having no better option, I accepted it and ended up spending my honeymoon in a twin-bed room. If the hotel is unwilling to provide upgrades, then it should stop promoting packages that create expectations in the first place. There were several other shortcomings on the part of the front desk and the guest relations, but I will leave them out of this review. What ultimately saved this stay and turned it into a memorable experience were Umar, who warmly introduced us to the room, and John from the Butler Department, whose kindness and genuine care left a lasting impression. These two gentlemen genuinely understand what true hospitality means and are among the brightest representatives of Emirates Palace. The hotel management should recognize and take good care of them, because they are the people who make guests want to return.

This hotel is centrally located in Abu Dhabi, surrounded by numerous supermarkets and restaurants. It offers convenient access to the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the Presidential Palace, and Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. Abu Dhabi Mall is also just a 15-minute walk away. The breakfast selection is diverse, and the rooms are spacious and clean. The complimentary valet parking is a fantastic perk, especially for those traveling by car, as it saves a lot of hassle.

The hotel is so far so good and the breakfast is awesome 10 out of 10. The reception lady she was a bit rude when we arrived during the check in and opened a discussion with the nationally as we are mixed nationally and have 2 passports so i didn’t feel comfortable and my wife too. Other than that the hotel is good , food is nice , location is good.
