AAnonymous UserThis is the first time I write a review on Ctrip. I'll say that when you are away from home, don't be too hypocritical, and don't ask and expect too much. But this time I can't help but tell the truth. Let's talk about the price first. 1. The standard large room of this hotel is more than 4,000 yuan per night. This room type is enough for two people. After arriving at the hotel, we still asked how much it would cost to upgrade to a better room, and the front desk receptionist took us to see two upgraded rooms with different decoration styles, but it would cost about 350-400 euros. In the end, we gave up because of the price and felt it was not worth it. In addition to the larger space, although there is a sea view, it is not a floor-to-ceiling window. 2. The design style is dark. I personally think that this hotel should be suitable for young people under 25 years old who are avant-garde in art. It is a personalized design boutique hotel. For other business travelers with high comfort requirements/poor eyesight or older people, forget it, because it is really a bit dark, a bit dark, and the practicality of various buttons in the room is really a bit brain-consuming. It is more recommended to choose a chain brand five-star hotel). At least those brands are more mature in operation, the service is also very professional, and the courtesy is more diverse. 3. The reception is not good enough. There is no pick-up service. This is a hotel on the main island. If you come here, you can book a water taxi ticket at the airport (140 euros for two people, a special boat, 20-30 minutes to get off at the hotel door, it is quite smooth.), but you will be very embarrassed when you leave the hotel. Anyway, we are going to Lucia Railway Station to take 🚞 to Milan. The hotel staff did not provide any service to help us see off. You know, guests like us from the ”Eastern Tang Dynasty” have several suitcases and have to travel through several cities. We dragged several heavy luggage all the way, and there were 5-6 bridges on the cobblestone road and 20 minutes of walking. Oh my God! Where is the decency of staying in a boutique hotel? ! ! It's really ironic! ! As a hotel of this price on the island, a representative hotel, it is marked as the No. 1 luxury hotel in Venice on Ctrip... It really made me feel very, very bad. 3. I am quite satisfied with the hotel breakfast. You have to order a set meal on the spot, which is freshly made and not self-service, probably to avoid waste. As shown in the picture, the drinks, water, snacks, etc. in the mini bar in the room are all free. 4. If you are a little superstitious, you don’t have to choose this hotel, because the standard room is a sky view room, which is really depressing, with insufficient light, and dark style design. I almost brought my own black magic. There is also an art installation in the corridor at the door of my room. As shown in Figure 1, there are all kinds of monsters moving in a pool of mud... Just think about it and your stomach will tremble! When we checked in, we were very nervous, and we could only stay in this state of mind. The reason why I have such a long talk is to avoid many compatriots from stepping on thunder. In fact, Venice is very small. One day on this island is enough for you to play. It is similar to you visiting an ancient town in China, but the architectural scenery in Europe is more outstanding. There is no need to stay on this main island. Leave more time to other fun cities!

__SamW_It is ideally located 5 minutes walk from the Government House and 5-8 minutes walk from St. Mark's Square. There is a water bus stop at the entrance of the hotel, as well as a water taxi stop, which is very convenient to go to any island in Venice. Breakfast is average, but it is delicious. The hotel takes a water taxi to Venice Marco Polo Airport for 120 Euros.

DDaydreamer1The hotel is located about 15-20 minutes' walk from surrounding attractions and about 28 minutes' walk from the lonely San Lucia train station. However, it is not recommended for travelers with suitcases to walk, although the original picture has a good view. You can go out from the train station and take the bus line 5.2. I may not have bought the ticket properly, but it cost 9 euros to get from the hotel to the train station. The hotel is not very close or far from the shopping street. However, the walking navigation signal is easy to drift. After walking into many narrow alleys, you have to find a way out. The hotel room is small and the bathroom is large. The hotel does not provide toothbrushes. When I contacted the front desk, they said that the toothbrush was gone, which was very frustrating. The hotel is near the seaside. You can go there for a walk and have a cup of coffee in the morning. It's not bad either. The hotel recommended two restaurants: OGINA and which one is 50 meters straight on the right side of the hotel. OGINA Forget it, it's not that good. The other seafood restaurant was okay and the service was good. I ate there all day, but I had diarrhea the next morning. Maybe it was because I was lactose intolerant myself and ate a lot of cheese. The breakfast in the hotel is very basic. It costs 25 euros and 5 euros plus tax. I am not happy with the 29 euros. Overall, I spent 2,000 a night and enjoyed 3 stars in a first-tier domestic city. One advantage of the hotel is that the hassle of taxis is free. z z z

EemailkennyThis is a very high-end hotel in Venice, with modern rooms (though a few inconveniences, such as not being able to hand-wash underwear). The service is excellent, but the price is high. According to the Ctrip room description, I booked an executive suite (2 adults, 2 children) for two nights. It had a king bed and two single beds, and I double-checked that there was no sofa bed or extra bed. The cost was around 16,000 for two nights. Upon check-in, the lobby was incredibly welcoming, offering a welcome drink. However, they explained that since I had only entered two adults in my booking, they assumed I was booking one child. Since there were two children, they would charge for an extra bed. I immediately thought this logic was flawed. If they had already prepared two beds, why did they assume there was only one child? If they knew there were four people, why would they charge for an extra bed? The front desk staff said it might have been a misunderstanding. I immediately checked with Ctrip, and they said there was no charge. However, upon entering the room, as shown in the picture, it was a repurposed sofa in the living room with a mattress and a spring bed, completely inconsistent with the Ctrip booking description and my repeated confirmation. Ctrip helped to mediate, saying that this was the only option, and that as long as the child could sleep, they wouldn't make a fuss. Upon check-out, in addition to the city entrance fee, they printed out a receipt stating employee benefits, nearly 100 euros, supposedly a service charge. Since I had a ferry to catch, I paid it, but then took the receipt to Ctrip, as it was an additional expense. After confirming it was a tip, the hotel explained that we had no objection. This is interesting; if it were a tip, the guest should have specified the amount (I'd probably accept 300 euros, right?), rather than simply printing out a figure for payment. Ctrip then arranged to refund the amount in a few days. These small details highlight the hotel's treatment of tourists, or perhaps Ctrip's tactics against Chinese tourists. Everyone should be aware of this. The hotel is still good; after all, at 8,000 euros a night, it's certainly worth it.

GGuest UserThe hotel and room are very good. Free shuttle was provided between hotel and San Marco at the time of my visit. The staff is very helpful and handle my request promptly. I also enjoy the time in blue bar which has excellent service and food. Highly recommended.

MMiss Arielly RibeiroThe hotel is beautiful and well-decorated, with an elegant blend of classic and modern styles. However, its location is a bit far from the main attractions. The highlight of the experience was undoubtedly the staff, who were extremely polite and attentive. Unfortunately, the Valentine’s Day dinner was a major disappointment. Despite having great potential to be a special night, it lacked planning and romance. There was no themed decoration, and the music selection was completely off, with Latin music playing instead of a romantic Italian soundtrack. The only saving grace of the evening was the menu—the food was simply delicious, and I am immensely grateful to the chef for that. Without his exceptional cuisine, the night would have been completely ruined. Another frustrating detail was the absence of live music, despite the presence of a piano in the hotel. Throughout the entire weekend, there was no performance, which was a shame, as small details like this could have made a big difference in the atmosphere. Overall, the hotel has its qualities, but the service feels more like a 4-star standard rather than a true 5-star experience.

DDavid_GreWe spent 2 nights in this hotel. When you arrive you are getting such a warmly welcome. The room was really nice - especially that Venice oriental style. Just the bath, as some already mentioned, does not fit to the room. It is clean and is equipped with everything what you need/expect. Just different from the style. And one more little highlight are the big air con devices in front of the window which a super loud. The rest was really perfect. Breakfast buffet included everything what you need. Just only the powder coffee you can get for the price - rest you need to order separately which is different to other 5 stars Hotel where I have been before. At least one „good“ coffee should be included in the high price. Overall really a nice stay with a SUPER friendly helpful staff. And the location is really perfect as you are close to the top sightseeing locations.

GGuest UserThe Astor Junior Suite I booked for over 10,000 yuan a night turned out to be like this. It was next to the elevator, the window faced the roof, and the door faced the air conditioner and utility room in the corridor. It did not meet the suite standard at all. It was probably the worst room in the hotel. I asked the hotel front desk to change the room. On the first day, they said there were no rooms to change. I checked online and there were still many rooms. They said they would change it the next day. On the second day, they said they would have to pay 2,000 euros more. It didn't cost 2,000 euros to book a new room. It was a very bad experience.

AAnonymous UserThe basic room type I booked was special for the 10th anniversary. When I arrived, I said I wanted to upgrade, but it turned out that I upgraded at my own expense. The rooms that cost money are of course better, but the basics are not cheap anymore, and this anniversary was quite luxurious. As one of the eight palaces in Venice, the hardware environment itself is a destination worth experiencing in life. The service staff is also very enthusiastic, and the hotel specially sent champagne, which is a perfect journey.
