Mark RipleyI had a very enjoyable stay at Pensione Seguso. The building is full of charm, with a traditional room that felt authentic and suited Venice perfectly. The staff were welcoming throughout my stay, and the location is excellent. It is easy to reach from Venice Santa Lucia station by vaporetto, and from the hotel it is no more than about 20 minutes on foot to most of Venice’s main sights.
The only disappointment was the room temperature on arrival. The windows had been left open on a day when the outside temperature was over 30°C, and the room itself was 29.5°C. I closed the windows immediately and turned on the air conditioning, but it still took almost a full day for the room to cool to a comfortable temperature. Opening the windows is not an effective way to cool a room when the outside air is hotter than the desired indoor temperature. I specifically booked a hotel with air conditioning because I do not sleep well in warm rooms, so this was frustrating after a long day of travelling.
Overall, I would happily recommend Pensione Seguso for its character, location and friendly service. I would simply suggest ensuring rooms are kept cool with the air conditioning before guests arrive during periods of hot weather.

AndreiMilkevichIt’s the best hotel you can dream for in Venice ! The location is very close to the train station (which is beautiful) but in a quiet alleyway away from crowds.
Supermarkets are close, a water bus station is close: we went to all the most popular islands from here:)
Inside everything is clean, there’s everything that you might need in the room, and a very spacious bathroom!
But the diamond of the hotel is its stuff. Lidia, the administrator (the lady at the check in desk) is a real angel ! Super helpful and friendly! We very appreciate her kindness ❤️
We travelled with a child (a 7 year old boy) and we advice this hotel for families. There’s possibility to leave you baggage in the hotel after chick out, that is super convenient if you have a late flight out.
Thank you, when we come back to Vinicius we’ll stay at this hotel again for sure :)

Great location, right by the train station so no need to drag luggage over bridges. There's a supermarket just down the street and plenty of restaurants nearby. The room has been renovated, so it's clean and tidy. However, since it was April, the air conditioning wasn't on (perhaps the heating was), and it was so hot I couldn't sleep. Opening the window just let in more mosquitoes.

It's about 3 to 5 minutes from the station.
It was very accessible and comfortable.
You have to climb a few flights of stairs to get to the front desk, but there is an elevator.
I arrived a little early so I asked if I could leave my luggage there, and they showed me straight to my room.
I was so happy. Thank you.
My room had its own private bath and toilet right in front of it, so it was convenient, but it may be inconvenient for those who live further away.
It is very well cleaned.
I was happy that the gargle cups were individually wrapped.
This is a hotel that makes me want to stay again.

This is a really lovely little hotel. It's small but perfectly formed, and the reception is just down the road at another hotel. It's the perfect place for a short stay of one or two nights, especially since it's really close to the train station. We were very grateful that they let us in at 1am. The beds were comfortable and clean, and the staff were helpful. The breakfasts are really good too, especially when you consider the Italian norm of just espresso and croissants.

Not only was the room very small for its price, but on top of that, they charged extra for the city tax( not what was mentioned on trip.com)
The worst part, especially for a freelancer, was the awful internet connection. Since the rooms are in different buildings, the Wi-Fi was unreliable, which completely ruined my experience as someone trying to work and travel at the same time.

Very good location, 5-10 min walk from bus station, right on the bank of the Grand Canal, easy to get to. We booked private bathroom and the room was pretty decent for a 2 star hotel. The breakfast was varied and the the wifi was reliable.
There were some issues with the electric power, but the staff was helpfull.
All in all, a decent stay for a decent price.

The hotel has an excellent location, about 200 meters from the Rialto Bridge, making it convenient for exploring the city on foot and also close to the Rialto boat stop.
The hotel is ”spartan.” We had a triple room; the room was small, and the bathroom didn't have a bidet. The bathroom was small, but it had a comfortable shower. The beds weren't the most comfortable; I think the mattresses were a bit dated, especially the one on the ”campina,” which was the third bed in the room. Breakfast is available at the hotel for €5 per person, and includes orange juice, a small sandwich, a croissant, jam, and a tub of Nutella. A hot drink (coffee/cappuccino or other beverage) is also included.
The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly.
Overall, for the price paid, I'd say it's definitely worth it for 2-3 nights.

Tee LLWhen we reached, the reception told us that due to unforeseen circumstances, the room that we've booked ( with shared toilet)wasn't available and he offered us another room with private toilet with extra xx€ ( I forgot how much was it) but I refused to pay extra. In the end the reception gave us a free upgrade.
It was written that I should had paid 1.x euro at the hotel but the receiption asked to pay 2€ without giving me a receipt
The room was clean. The location was good. Close to eating places and supermarkets and train station. Travellers with luggages should choose this location. Facing the canal and station is at the back, turn left and after some minutes of walks the hotel is found.
