We booked the hotel late at night whilst travelling on the premise they offered 24 hour room service as we hadn’t eaten for 13 hours. Long story short they do not even provide so much as a cup of tea on room service, let alone any food. Anyways, on arrival we were met with a very rude member of staff who reluctantly checked us in before proceeding to storm off to take us to our rooms, not even smiling or saying a single word. All the staff we encountered were just as rude and unhelpful, with most barely saying two words to us. That’s if you can get a hold of the staff at all, you’re lucky if they pick up the phone or if you can find anyone wondering around the maze of a hotel. As for the room, there was what I can only assume to be faecal matter on the loo seat, stains on the towels and just a general lack of cleanliness. Check out is 11am and there’s not much wiggle room on that, no late check out and you will find the staff will let themselves into your room to start cleaning before you’ve even left. Additionally, it is not disability friendly, especially if you require a wheelchair, lots of stairs with no lifts and ramps. There’s a premier inn next door that I’m sure will offer much better service and at half the price, go there. Room was £106 but worth £6!
