Buffet breakfast
Food was good especially the omelette.
Actually services were so good and very efficient to clean up the table even though we just stepped out to grab more food
A card that indicate the table is taken and return the card when complete of the meal may help.
The smart view TV is nice as we may project our cell phone to TV to enjoy. However, internet connection wasn’t that good.
View not good as block by the Sydney Tower. Location is excellent for shopping.

My husband and I stayed in Sofitel for 3 nights and everything was honestly 10/10. The staff are excellent - so friendly and helpful. They attended to all our needs. Special shoutout to Nia and Kla for being so friendly :) The place itself is luxurious and all the amenities were fantastic. The buffet was just phenomenal - they had everything you can ask for! One of the best breakfast buffets we have had and we have travelled all over the world. We felt spoilt for choice. We loved our stay here and definitely would highly recommend!! Oh and I can’t forget to mention that the location is super convenient surrounding Darling Harbour and Cockle Bay Wharf - had several places to eat and just an overall beautiful atmosphere.

Stayed for 13 days at Hyatt Regency Sydney and had a great overall experience. The room was compact but had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I had a drainage issue in my first room, but the staff handled it promptly and even upgraded me to a room with a lovely view of Darling Harbour – really appreciated that gesture!
The location is great – quiet enough to relax, but still just a short walk to the CBD, so it’s super convenient. One small thing to note: no dental kit was provided during my stay, so bring your own just in case. Otherwise, service was excellent and I’d happily stay here again!

Great location. Nice view of the museum. Nice choice of cups and mugs. Uncomfortable duvets and way too tucked. Breakfast wasn’t great, a bit disappointing for Intercontinental, not very fresh or nicely displayed as it was separated between two small rooms. And we had to wait a while for the staff to notice us and let us in, we weren’t able to choose where to sit either even though it was mostly empty. We were surprised as we had tried the M*rriot breakfast in the same neighborhood which was much better, from the quality of the products, to the selection or the way we were welcomed.

Location was perfect, room is very spacious with a proper work table. The only downside was the flight of stairs at the entrance which is not friendly for heavy luggage. While the staff will lend a hand, still good to have flat ground.

My first review on Trip and I don't usually bother to write reviews - shows you how much the hotel impressed me. We stayed for 1 night in Capella Sydney as a family of 3.
The hotel facilities were absolutely amazing, decor was gorgeous and food options at Aperture and Brasserie were awesome. However, I won't dwell on these too much as I'm sure when you booked into a Capella brand hotel, you will already assume this as a given right? One highlight in terms of facilities though, was The Living Room, which is assessible to all guests staying in the hotel. It had beverages, snacks, comfy sofas and 6 star service. We spent so much time there chilling with our son and in the end it really became ”our living room”.
Enough of that, let me move on to the service which blew our minds. I'll give you a few examples and hopefully you can see why I feel it would be criminal for me not to write a review.
1. On arrival when we got out of our car and the porters were helping us with our luggage, somehow they addressed me by name. Maybe it's because they saw I had a 2 year old and I was the only guest checking in that day with a small child. Still, I was super impressed. I've only experienced this previously at Aman hotels.
2. Upon checking in, Sophie (I hope I got your name right!) was super helpful and cheerful. When she saw my young son, she also proactively asked if we needed a later check out and if our son needed to nap. She immediately offered to give us 2pm late check out. However, having told her our son actually takes his nap at 2pm, she told us to come back and check with the front desk the next day and they can extend it till 4pm. Remember, I didn't request this, she did this completely out of her own initiative.
3. We didn't book dinner and Sophie referred us to Madiha of the Cultural team. Madiha took note of all our requirements, including the need for the restaurant to be 2 year old friendly, and within 15 mins emailed me a full list of restaurants and their menus for me to choose from while she also served us drinks and snacks at the living room. We eventually picked an Italian restaurant and she made the reservation for us. Fyi, it was scrumptious.
4. After breakfast, we were walking around the lobby and my son walked past the cakeshop and saw a raspberry tart. He really wanted it but I told him we just had breakfast. Ton (?)(I hope I got your name right, the Thai gentleman with a love for cars), the manager came up and said ”you can have the tart for free! It's on the house!”. I was stunned. He also spent so much time talking to my son and showing him pictures of cars, unbelievable.
Shout out also to Matthew (uncle Hao Jun) for being so warm and hospitable to us. Honestly we were feeling so sad leaving the hotel as everyone felt like friends and family to us. One thing is for sure though, we will be back. Absolutely flawless service, kudos to the Capella Sydney team!

Very good hotel, 5 minutes from Circular Quay.
It lacks a wellness center (sauna/jacuzzi) for relaxation.
In the evening, a buffet-style restaurant would be ideal instead of the Vietnamese restaurant on Delta Street.
I'll be back.

Very good location. Room is very spacious and comfortable. Small tube of dish washing detergent and 2 small packets of milk were provided in the room. Very thoughtful gesture as it saves us short vacation travellers a lot of hassle of buying from supermarket and reduces wastage because we used to buy for just a few days' use and had to throw away big bottles of detergent and milk.

Such a beautiful hotel. The only disappointment upon checking in was learning my room didn't have a bath. I called reception and they offered me an upgrade to a suite for $50, which I did. Would have been amazing if they'd bumped me up for free!! But overall it was a lovely stay.

Great
GGuest UserHotel was good all-in-all but a bit of a disappointment. My original room smelled pretty strongly of mold. I was shown a few other rooms as options and most of them smelled like mold too. Fortunately the one I ended up in smelled mostly mold-free. It was next to the elevator though and a little bit noisy. There were issues with my key card that had to be fixed. The bed was pretty comfortable. Everything fairly basic, seemed a bit overpriced for what it is though I guess that's just downtown Sydney. Biggest drag was that there were two false-alarm fire alarms during my short (two night) stay. The first one was fairly drawn out (at least 10-15 minutes) and extremely loud - voice and alarm constantly blaring. The second one was shorter, but late at night and not good for sleep. I probably wouldn't stay here again.

GGuest UserThis was one of our best experiences ever. The view in the hotelroom was absolutely stunning, people absolutely nice and the service was outstanding. Very convenient, digitally enabled and very forward thinking oriented. The Blue Bar is also highly recommended. Unfortunately Shangri-La is only available in the eastern part of the world, we would surely use it more often.
AAnonymous UserThe front desk service is very good👍🏻The location is great👍🏻It is very close to the port, wildlife park, aquarium and wax museum! Behind is a very prosperous commercial street! The apartment is large and has a balcony which is great. It is convenient to wash clothes, dry clothes and cook, and the kitchen utensils are clean! The TV can connect to YouTube, netflix, and Disney~

JJasTalbHayI stayed at Meriton for 9 nights with my son in Oct 2022. The location is excellent, with the Townhall train station & light rail located within 2mins walk from the building. There is also a Woolworths next block. The major shopping district is within less than a minute walk / located at the next light rail station, QVB station.
One of my biggest pet peeve, are the lifts, there are 3 of them and they run from carpark levels all the way till the top floor which is probably in the 50s, we had to wait really long to take the lifts. Meriton apparently leases out their carpark lots too, hence the wait for the lifts is even longer during weekends when there’s a mix of the existing room guests, new guests checking in with their luggages as well as the people picking up their cars from the carpark. It’s just a hot mess.
Meriton should really consider segregating the lifts to serve different floors. And have the people who are picking up their cars, to use other lifts instead of main lobby lifts.
I like how the room is equipped with a Washer & dryer, was able to have clean set of clothings everyday. I couldn’t start the dryer, called for help and had to wait more than 30mins, the handyman only came after my second call.
Although I stayed at the property for 9 nights, the room-keeping was very basic , just a change of new set of towels, bed was made, disposal of rubbish and replenishment of condiments (like coffee, creamery and sugar) and bathing supplies. No vacuuming of floor or washing of the bathroom, hence the room is dusty and the bathroom especially the rubber tubings surrounding the glass door has mould too. Also, the frequency of house-keeping was inconsistent, initially was once every 3 days for first 6 days and then it became everyday.
In conclusion, it’s still an excellent place to stay because of strategic location but do manage your expectations when it’s comes to the upkeep of the rooms, the hotel lifts and level of services. By the way, when I was there, the hotel lobby was undergoing renovation, so hopefully the lift situations improve.

TTTWWSThis is our second time staying at this hotel however the hotel room that they gave us was not the same as the photo and honestly it was quite disappointing as it was very small and not what you expect from a five star hotel. Due to the public holiday the occupancy levels are also very high which meant that the line for the breakfast was insane and we had to wait a long time to get our eggs ordered and delivered. They do have a pool however it is sent me door on the roof of the Building and honestly it is just too cold to swim otherwise the day was otherwise okay. We came back because our stayed the first time was quite good however I probably will not be returning as it has a very suboptimal location.

MmiSs JMWe stayed at Pullman Hyde Park in Sydney during Christmas holiday and while the location is fantastic, right in the heart of the city with easy access to attractions and dining, the hotel itself feels a bit outdated. The building could definitely use some updates to match the price point.
We had an issue with the toilet seat, which was oddly positioned and wasn’t able to pull it up and made it uncomfortable for my husband to use. Not a major deal-breaker, but definitely a bit inconvenient. Another downside was the lack of soundproofing in the rooms. We could hear a lot of noise from the hallway and other rooms, which made it hard to get a good night's sleep.
The jacuzzi was quite small, much smaller than expected, but on a positive note, the rooftop pool was a highlight. The view of Hyde Park and the surrounding skyline was absolutely stunning—definitely the best part of the stay.
Overall, it’s a decent option if you’re looking for a central location, but for the price, I was hoping for a bit more in terms of room quality and amenities.

GGuest UserI had a disappointing and unusual experience while using the iPad for every services. The food from room service did not taste good, and it took about an hour for my luggage to be delivered to my room from the reception.
RRoyale CheeseI usually do not post reviews, but I had to this time to share my experiences.
I stayed for a total of 5 nights, Tue and check out on Sunday(7-12 Feb 2023)
Plus point
-Location is really good , plenty of thai/chinese restaurants and room is huge.
-Bed is comfortable,
-Yoshie is one that was one more friendly staff that I remembered her name , please give her a raise or wine on me.(she is a Japanese, in case i got her name wrong)
Hotel staff, is a on and off experience.
The night ones tend to be more ”cold” and the day ones are much better.( again, Yoshie was the ”better” ones, there are more, but I couldnt remember their name)
Now on to the exciting part...
Tuesday- Checkin day, A smooth day but without hand towels and when I asked for them before leaving the place for a concert.
( they claim they were in laundry or something and I find it hard to believe for a 5 star accommodation)
We were without a frying pan as well( they send it up though when i called for it)
Wed- Requested for toothbrush/Toiletries and had to request again after waiting for more than an hour, as it was forgotten ,I presumed
Thu- Requested to change towel when we went out in morning, nothing was done when we were back in evening.
I especially informed the morning reception guys to not forget it, but someone in the middle must have forgotten it.
Evening time, The staff upon informing said they will have it there in 10 mins, which they did.
By the way, the phone became faulty but I didn't bother to inform as I thought I wont have much trouble with it not in use.
I was wrong.
Friday- The express cleaning end-up with all the towels taken away and, thats it.
We found out when we were back in evening.
We were left with no towels and on top of that the phone was not working so I had to go downstairs to inform the reception/staff , on night shift i suppose.
Again they said would be there in 10 mins, which more or less they did.
Saturday- There was a huge cockroach and I had to kill it myself, informed the staff downstairs but honestly I dont expect change of room or anything, just to feedback.
From the above, you can see there were full of dramas and I think these are basic expectations.(especially the towel part)
Would I be back there if I ever go Sydney again?
Unlikely.
JJD75Excellent place to stay in Sydney, a great alternative to a city hotel if you require multiple bedrooms or a kitchen. Clean serviced apartments with comfortable beds and full kitchen amenities. Our 2 bedroom had a balcony. The area “Green Square” is a tad uniform in design, prone to strong winds and a little dreary. That said, it’s very conveniently located above Green Square station which is one stop from Central and two stops from the airport so accessing all of Sydney’s major landmarks is no problems at all from this place. It has fairly decent cafes around it, lots of fast food outlets and a supermarket all within a stone’s throw.
Heated pool and gym both decent.
The only gripe and warning I have, especially for international tourists, is their $3 card surcharge. In this “cashless” hotel that is illegal behaviour and not permitted under Australian law. When challenged it was not applied to me as I stated I was more than happy to pay the security bond with cash. All businesses must afford you a way to pay that does not attract a fee in this country. If the owners want an extra $3 I suggest they apply it to the room rate to avoid these kinds of displeasures.
Fortunately the service at reception is fine, so I did not reduce my ratings based on this unnecessarily upsetting and stupid policy the hotel has. I do hope it is scrapped as it is tacky and unnecessary charges like these detract from the service standard achieved by the competent staff employed at the hotel.

AAnonymous UserVery nice view from our room widows. There are full of different types restaurants on the ground floor. But If you close the window, the sound proof is excellent which I typically want to recommend.
Stuffs are friendly and helpful, willing to give you recommendations if you are first-time visitors. They even wrote a welcome card.
They have a ballroom here just opposite the reception, holding different personal events every night. I like the vibe which means it's popular place and safe.
The hotel is friendly to those who travel with dogs. They have special bed and food for dogs. But we didn't need it and the dog net door barked very early in the morning. We were OK with it.
At the other aspect, the hotel goes too much.
The breakfast is allllll for vegetarians.
Yes, all.
As a guest, you are left with no choice.
This is the only point that I particularly hate. Be whatever you like, just don't push others to do the something, especially when you are running a business.
