Taichung Beitun District Hotels

This was my first stay at this hotel, and I was impressed with the interior design and facilities. The lighting was bright, and it was wonderfully quiet at night, perfect for sleeping (the soundproofing is good). Parking in the basement involved an elevator, and there was staff on hand to assist, which I found to be perfectly fine. While the breakfast selection wasn't vast, there was definitely enough to fill you up. The location is incredibly convenient, right next to the MRT station. Overall, it was a great choice; I definitely made the right decision picking this hotel.

I checked into room 810 on 2/8/2011. The toilet tank was faulty and the hotel's in-house phone was not connected. I informed the front desk and requested a room change, but I had an appointment with a friend and had to go out urgently. The answer was that I could not change rooms and they would ask the plumbers and electricity staff to repair it. After the party, I came back to see that the room was not cleaned very well after the repair. There was still water under the trash can, and the wet foot mat was not replaced. It was obvious that it was just wiped casually. Because the family was tired and the children were sleeping, I wanted to call the counter, but the telephone line was still not installed. I was very dissatisfied with this. Then because of the cold wave, the room was very cold, even colder than the corridor outside. I went to the first floor to ask the counter if there was a heater installed. The response was no. I also asked about the telephone line, so that I wouldn’t have to run downstairs if something happened. The reaction of the counter at night was panic and I didn’t know how to deal with it. I couldn’t bear to look for it here and there and didn’t want to install it anymore. After returning to the room and preparing to go to sleep, cold wind kept coming in through the floor-to-ceiling window, and I was covering the child with a quilt all night. When I checked out the next day, I forgot to take a box of Dahu strawberries from the refrigerator. I called the hotel and found out that it had been thrown away by housekeeping. My child’s memories were also thrown away. Actually, I left a phone number when I checked in, so why didn’t I call? Our attractions are all nearby and we can come back and get them right away. All of this really makes me so angry.

This hotel, while on the older side with standard facilities, truly shines in its cleanliness. Everything felt well-maintained and spotless, which is always a huge plus. The breakfast offers a good variety of options, which is a definite highlight. You'll find many choices, including an egg and danbing (********* egg pancake) station, which is a nice touch. While the selection is plentiful, keep in mind that the quality is standard, so don't expect gourmet fare. Its location is a bit of a mixed bag. If you're arriving by train, be aware that it's quite a distance from the Taichung Train Station. However, for those relying on public transport, you'll find it incredibly convenient with bus and MRT stations very close by. There's also a nice park nearby, which is great for a pleasant stroll or some fresh air. Overall, it's a good option, especially if your plans keep you in this specific area of Taichung's East District. However, if your main objective is proximity to the Taichung Train Station, you might find other hotels in a similar price range that are more conveniently located.

The location is good, near Hankou Street (I remember there are many restaurants, shops, and entertainment venues nearby), and Zhongqing Road is also in the vicinity. It has good amenities, is close to the city center, and the rooms are clean and tidy. Overall, with parking available, it's a very good choice.

Basically everything is very good and satisfactory. The only thing that bothers me is that the air conditioner in the room is a bit loud, which affects my sleep. Everything else is great! Breakfast was delicious

During the trial operation, we got up at nearly 9 o'clock, But it has begun to decorate, and there is still a little decoration in the door, The sink is outside, and the hair dryer is easy to sweep because of the countertop. The makeup mirror light is too dark to see clearly The TV is big, the toiletries are good,

The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The hair dryer was wall-mounted, requiring you to stand in the bathroom to dry it, which was not ideal for women with long hair. The towels and bath towels were inconveniently placed on the bedside table, and the bathroom didn't lock, which made for a lack of privacy. I stayed two nights in a row and left late the next morning, hoping to catch up on some sleep. The cleaning lady was a bit too noisy and rang the doorbell twice. The first time, they said they didn't need cleaning service, but I don't know if another lady rang it the second time. I've already reported this to the front desk. The second night, they called our room at 2:30 PM to ask if we had borrowed the hair dryer. It was strange; it would have woken me up if I was sleeping.

The location is right next to the Xintiandi restaurant, which makes it very convenient to eat. The breakfast is also very considerate and delivered to the garage. It takes about 15 minutes to get to the Hanxi Night Market. The air-conditioning in the room is very cold. The only drawback is that the hot water in the bathtub is a little small and flows a little slowly.

The room was generally simple and clean. We appreciated the complimentary baby crib provided by the hotel, and the bathroom featured a bathtub. However, the room felt a bit dated. Location-wise, its proximity to the highway interchange is convenient for drivers, with complimentary on-site parking available. On the downside, there isn't much to explore on foot in the immediate vicinity. The hotel staff were mostly friendly, courteous, and very helpful, always ready to answer any questions. Furthermore, the hotel facilities, including a very clean swimming pool, a spa, and a gym, were excellent. All these, coupled with the lovely morning sunshine, contributed to a truly enjoyable holiday!
