Monarch Plaza Hotel

A great big and clean room with a king size bed.  Quite convenient as opposite got bus stand.

Room is so outdated. Staffs at the lobby, consierge and receptionist are not friendly. Breakfast is so so. Better to book the room without breakfast.

The location is good but the room is dated and had seen better days, recommended to update soon in order to maintain the Monarch hotel brand.

Clean, spacious room on 12th floor. No common amenities like other hotel, only shampoo, shower gel, towel, toilet paper and hair dryer. Staffs are helpful and friendly. Many restaurants around within 10mn walking. Will come back if I go to Taoyuan again.

This hotel is fantastic. The room is very spacious with exquisite interior design. The bathroom is also large with a proper wet-dry separation, and the toilet is an electric smart toilet with a heated seat. The staff are incredibly friendly

Terrible service from reception, toilet had a water bottle inside the lid (manager said it’s normal, sth due to water pressure, toilet was blocked multiple times), windows can only be opened by staff with tools. Bottled water in rooms only available 10F or higher. Standard rooms downstairs you gotta go to the water filler next to the elevator yourself to fill it up due to being ‘environmentally friendly’ and ‘new government rules’. When asked if we could upgrade and add the additional cost in cash, they said we had to cancel the booking here first & would lose the first nights money. We didn’t even use the breakfast voucher for the first night. Stayed for 5 nights due to the location being close to family. Very disappointing service! Their standard rooms have not changed since over ten years ago..
