The lady in reception/bar was very helpful and had me upgraded to a bigger room with no fuss and complete transparency. The shared bathrooms didn’t feel shared, maybe it just wasnt busy but i was able to use the showers like its my own. Housekeeping should keep a better eye out for the soap dispensers though, no one seemed to keep them filled up during my stay. Other than that comfiest bed ever even for the price such a great deal!

Booked a room with private bathroom - clearly stated on website and confirmation email. Room had no bathroom. Had to argue with two of the staff that I had booked a room with a private bathroom. They tried to charge me an additional $80. One gentleman told me it was my fault for not calling the hotel to confirm that I had a private bathroom and that I hadn't paid enough. It's not my job to synch pricing with trip.com. After standing around for ages while they stared blankly at a screen they eventually allocated another room. Not a great starting point. Old style elevator might be difficult to operate for some travellers, the doors are pretty heavy.

I was surprised at how good the accommodation was here. Right on the main street of Gosford, was a great location. Rooms recently renovated and looked great. I ate at the Hotel restaurant and was the best steak I have had in a very long time. I would really recommend you to stay here if ever going to Gosford.

Everything is good but it can be better if they can provide microwave. Wall is thin so the sound insulation is not good

There is a great bar on the first floor, and there is also a horse racing machine to play on. Although the space in the room is a bit small, it is generally clean, and the elevator in the hotel is also quite unique.

Word of mouth in local area recommends the food and ambience. Easy booking on-line. Foolishly booking on State of Origin night - so to avoid the crush - booked for 6pm and arrived @ 5.30. The restaurant area is huge and at this time nearly deserted. We both ordered the beef cheeks with mash and Dutch carrots. The dishes arrived in very reasonable time - meal delicious - however, not hot- moderately warm - considered sending back - but decided against - meal accompanied by glass of white wine. We were slightly disappointed - meal did not live up to expectations. Would we return ? Hmmm ? Probably yes just to give the hotel benefit of the doubt.

First visit since the renovations. Everything was great. Really easy online booking for a table, friendly welcome when we arrived and the food was excellent. They have the standard pub food if you like that, but they also have a really good choice of in house specialities. I had back strap if lamb which was perfect. The other three in our group each had different dishes and everyone loved it. The dark ale Pudding dessert was magic. We'll definitely be back. They've really raised the standard for Gosford CBD.

This has to be one of the best up market Hotels on the Central Coast. Service was prompt and friendly with meals being creative and enjoyabe. We went for a family gathering and it was the perfect spot. The price is appropriate for the quality of food and service.

What can I say but yum. The food is good. You have to order at the cashier but the waitresses or waiters bring the food to you. The servers are always friendly The food is always good and a great place to meet friends for lunch or dinner. I hear it really rocks on the weekend too. The menu is reasonably priced and good portions. I ordered a senior meal and even that was big.
