I had been to Jinpudun a few time. I like the homestay environment, next door convenience shop (open daily 8-10.30pm) and the friendly boss. In my opinion, this is a value for money true homestay hotel than the equivalent false 2-stars. This is a recommended closest and cheap homestay transit hotel to others China provincial via central Tianjin railway train. Photos shown the room and the snacks I liked.

The location wasn’t that bad and the lady working there was lovely. But besides that, everything else was kinda bad - floor was falling apart, bed not really clean, walls were so thin that I heard everything what was going on in other rooms and the smell, everything and I mean everything smelled of cigarettes.

There was an air conditioner but no one was using it. I asked the baby to get the air conditioner. She closed the window when it was cold and opened it when it was hot. The lady boss is pretty nice

How to describe it, emmm, there are only two floors, a canteen and foot wash on the first floor. Accommodation on the second floor, the standard room we stayed in, the bed sheets and duvet covers were household type, not white. It was hard to tell whether the previous person had changed them or not, which is difficult to comment on. There is no trash can in the room and the floor is dirty, which is unsatisfactory. And the soundproofing is not good. I could hear people shouting and talking early in the morning, and there were also sounds from cars passing by outside.
