"This hotel probably relies solely on its prime location, as both the service and facilities fall short of expectations. When I took a shower, water leaked out from under the bathroom door. The hairdryer was ancient; you had to continuously press a button for it to even work. It's the kind of place you stay at once and never consider returning to."

"The location is superb, facing the Haihe River, with a garden across the road behind it, and the Ritz-Carlton on one side of the garden. From the hotel, it's about a 20-minute walk to Da Kuo Seafood and Kiessling Restaurant, one for seafood and the other for Western cuisine, both renowned in Tianjin. Across the road from Kiessling is Xiaobailou (White House). From Xiaobailou, heading north, you'll find Wudadao (Five Avenues), with numerous century-old Western-style buildings all around. In the evening, a stroll along the Haihe River is delightful – with twinkling lights, a gentle breeze, the quiet flow of the river, and gulls soaring over the water. It's truly enjoyable! The Astor Hotel has a history of 163 years, with Sun Yat-sen, Zhou Enlai, Puyi, Wanrong, and many other famous figures having stayed or visited. The grand hotel also boasts a considerable museum with many old artifacts, well worth seeing. The interior of the hotel is very well-designed. Guests can also enjoy a complimentary photoshoot with a few photos in Republican-era style makeup, and anywhere you stand makes for a great shot. The room is grand, the bathroom is huge and has a bathtub where you can set up a pad to watch shows while soaking – they've really thought of everything for their guests. Although the room rate was expensive during the Spring Festival, it was still excellent value. I suggest staying on weekdays for even better value for money."

"A terrible experience. I went on a short trip during the Qingming Festival. There was no hot water when I got up early. I had to wait for a while. I went to have breakfast, but there was no place to sit or eat. The plates and bowls were also very dirty. The service staff were not very good and made a mess. The B&B environment was good, but the service and facilities were terrible."

"The room was very dirty and smelled. The toilet was blocked every time we went there. It seemed that the hotel was used to it being blocked and it was not surprising. The pillows were yellowed and the counter at the entrance was also dirty. They did not clean it before letting customers check in. The dust was visible to the naked eye. The facilities were also quite old. Please avoid this hotel."

"This time I brought my parents to Jixian for a trip. I lived in Wangshan's hidden luxury. The location of the homestay is close to the Xijingxuan Observation Deck. The warm-toned building is particularly healing under the blue sky and white clouds, and it is completely hidden in the quiet utopia in the mountains. The room was very clean. When I checked in, the front desk lady upgraded the viewing room and also sent fruit to stay at home. The breakfast was delicious and clean. The overall feeling is very good, next time I go to Xijingxuan, I will choose Wangshan."
