Hotels Near West Gate Scenic Spot in Tongxiang

Located in Xizha Scenic Area, you can travel back and forth in and out of the scenic area during your stay. The service is excellent! The environment is great, it's refreshing! The food is great, you can eat until you are full! The price is great, the cost performance is super high! The standard room is made into two bedrooms, and sleep is guaranteed.

Booked two rooms at Waterside Resort for family of four. We had enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Staffs are all helpful and friendly. Wuzhen is very beautiful and as we came at off peak season, got to enjoy photo taking with not much crowd around. Highly recommend Waterside Resort - the hotel with most rooms available within Wuzhen resort. 👍🏼

Very comfortable the room and the breakfast is delicious and it was only costs 20 rmb. The staff is very friendly. Only the toilet and the bathroom we concern about, only covered with a curtain (low Privacy)

Wuzhen Gate No. 2 is a bit LOW. You can see the entrance when you open the window. If you are over 70 years old, remember to turn right and go to the service hall to make an appointment to exchange for free tickets. Although it is not the peak season now, there are many people in the scenic area. It is very convenient to enter and exit here. The hotel is cost-effective and the service is very good. There are discounts for eating and buying water. I ate breakfast and dinner. The steamed dumplings, fried dough sticks and soy milk for breakfast are delicious. The three-fresh soup for dinner is good. My father fell in love with Tongxiang chili sauce, which is salty and fresh and super delicious. The room is very clean, with wooden floors. The projector is very good at night. It would be better if you can watch TV live. The software used always plays ads, a little complaint. There are many accommodations in the scenic area, but the experience is average. I am glad that I didn’t live in it. I am afraid that it will be creepy to live in a remote corner at night. Haha, there are many Koreans. Wuzhen’s reputation is promoted vigorously, but there are still not many cultural and creative things inside. I didn’t have a deep impression. Just experience the night view of the water town. I have been to Wuzhen, that’s all😄

The hotel (Wangjinli) is one of the furthest in from the XiZha entrance, near the Pagoda. This gives a little more privacy, where less public walking around the hotel vicinity. Shuttle service is included, so it’s easy to move around if you do not want to walk so much. Room is wide and clean. Bed is a bit dated, but it’s clean. Our room had a good view, enjoyed our stay. Would come again!

We booked 2 rooms for two nights. Receptionist 纪丹阳 was very helpful and upgraded riverside rooms for us. We had a very good quality buffet breakfast.The location was very good as the rooms are inside the scenic area so we enjoyed taking photos in the morning and at night before 10 pm without crowd in the scenic area.I recommend to stay in this hotel at least one night in this scenic area to enjoy day and night experience.我们订了两间房，住两晚。前台接待员季丹阳非常乐于助人，还给我们升级了河边房。我们享用了非常优质的自助早餐。位置非常好，因为房间就在景区内，所以我们早上和晚上 10 点之前都可以拍照，景区内没有拥挤的人流。我建议在这个景区至少在这家酒店住一晚，享受白天和夜晚的体验。

The boss is a very honest man and also very helpful. He goes the extra mile to help you with anything that you need. Just inform him what your need or where you would like to go and he will recommend the best method and even help to arrange for transportation, services etc at the best value price. The hotel is located just 300meters walk away from the Wuzhen Xizha Scenic Area ticketing centre. Though it is not located inside the scenic area, it is worth staying here because there are plenty of restaurants, convenience stores, massage parlours, and traditional costume and make up shops that you can get better price than within the scenic area. The hotel owner also helped to arrange a rickshaw to bring us tour nanzha(south part of Wuzhen) which depicts more of the lifestyle of the local people with a few nice areas for photography and to buy local produce. Many chinese dramas were also filmed at Nanzha area which the rickshaw rider explained very well but in mandarin chinese. He also helped to take nice photographs for us. The hotel owner also helped to book a car from Wuzhen to Tongli at a reasonable price. If you are travelling from either Hangzhou or Suzhou to this hotel, i would recommend that you give the hotel owner a call and ask him to arrange for a car to get you from those places to Wuzhen especially if you travel in groups of 2-4 persons because the hotel owner is able to get a reasonably priced car. Overall, i would stay in this hotel again if i visit Wuzhen again, because of the owner’s great hospitality and service.

Though located at the quieter part of Xiza Wuzhen, we like the peacefulness and calm at night. The luggages were transported to the hotel after check-in at the main tourist centre. We explored in the day before picking up the luggages at the lobby at night. The hotel's breakfast was at ZhenShui hotel 100m away. It was a great breakfast with a variety of food. I think it is better to eat there than at the popular ZaoChaKe where you can pay on your own to try the traditional breakfast just for experience. Overall, nice stay, warm hospitality.

I'll probably give 10 stars for the incredible service. The staff and the host family (homestay no. 13) warmly treated us as if we were VIP. The room was clean, warm and cozy. It offered all the necessary amenities. The free breakfast (photo 1) was amazing. I missed it a lot! The experience here was definitely the highlight of our trip to Wuzhen. Highly recommend! 👍

Overall Wuzhen is just another commercialised village and over rated as an Ancient Water Town. Hotel itself is not heated but room has heater.  However because room is quite spacious, takes a while to warm up room.  Comfortable bed, clean and smoke/cigarette smell free.  This is very important for us as we are extremely sensitive to cigarette.  Toilet feels cold but hot water is good.  Hotel amenities basic - slipper, toothbrush/tooth paste, hot water, body soap and shampoo Host is friendly and helpful.  Hotel is within steps to Ancient Village.  Entrance ticket price RMB150/pax.  Scenic points 0830-1700 while scenic area is 0830-2200. Solely my opinion- Over rated and not really worthy to pay the entrance ticket.  50% discount for above 60 years old. Future visit, if any, will consider this hotel again
