Puyi seclusion Wuzhen boutique homestay

The landlady and the staff were incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic. My child said they definitely want to stay here again next time we visit Wuzhen. The fish pond and turtle pond in the courtyard were a big hit with the kids. The room was very spacious, and the bed was so comfortable; I slept as soundly here for two nights as I do at home. The large bathtub in the room was also excellent.

I only stayed for 2 nights and had to sleep with a mask on because of the strong musty smell. I'm not sure if it's due to frequent rain or something else, but the smell was really bad. It got even worse when the air conditioning was on, so it probably needs cleaning. The handheld showerhead holder was also broken and couldn't be fixed. 😒 My room faced the street and looked quite bright. They gave me two pastries when I left, which I guess was a small consolation. Overall, the experience was just okay; the smell gave me a headache. I originally had a train ticket for 3 PM, hoping to leave a bit later in the afternoon, but I couldn't stand the smell any longer. I ended up changing my ticket to the morning and left early. As an introvert, I found it hard to ask for a room change, and for just 2 days, it didn't seem worth the hassle. I hope the owner sees this review and addresses the musty smell. 😒🫪

This guesthouse right by the entrance to Wuzhen is fantastic. It's quiet, clean, and the owner is incredibly warm and welcoming. They even gave us a small gift when we checked out.

This guesthouse is conveniently located close to Wuzhen Xizha Scenic Area and not far from the free Nanzha Scenic Area. The room was spacious, clean, and tidy, and the customer service staff was very professional. They even gave us local specialty pastries as a farewell gift when we checked out, which was a very thoughtful gesture.
