Hotel Nepomuk
4.5/567 Reviews
I had high expectations based on other reviews and the hotel did not dissapoint. Check-in: Staff was welcoming and friendly and very patient with my rusty German speaking! They even took the time to show us to our room. We were given a very detailed and helpful overview of the town and location of key sites at the front desk. Can't say enough about the staff. Great job! Hotel Rooms & Facilities: Everything about the hotel was sparkling clean. Our rooms were large and well appointed. Views from both rooms were wonderful. Everything was in good working condition. The bathrooms were large and modern. Beds extremely comfortable. Good Wifi signal throughout hotel. Overall I would say the owners have done an outstanding job of modernizing a classic old building. We had a delicious breakfast one morning, but unusual for Germany it was not included in our room rate. We did not eat any other meals, but we noticed there was always a good crowd in the restaurant. Location: The Nepomuk is located on a quiet side street on the southern edge of the Altstadt right on the river. Although most buildings in this part of town have not had a recent facelift, you are just a couple short blocks from the heart of Bamberg's incredible, beautiful Altstadt. Bamberg: There is a reason the Altstadt is a UNESCO world heritage site. It is a wonderful, compact glimpse into another time. We were very impressed with everything we saw. Highly recommend a visit.

In the ancient city of Bamberg, it belongs to the core area of the scenic spot. It is a few minutes away from the public parking lot. It is very convenient. The following is the local restaurant. It is very recommended. It is very recommended for smoke and beer.

Great location, next to supermarket and city center, underground parking, 24h front desk. The problem is the room are very small. In this and a previous trip I asked for late check-out but was not possible (usually late check out is always possible in Accor hotels (I have Gold status) but in this hotel never, probably very busy always.

Ibis Bamberg Altstadt

The Ibis Bamberg Altstadt hotel is in the perfect location to explore the old town of this beautiful German city. It's right next to the Hoffmann Theatre so very easy to find. We stayed here for just under a week in a room overlooking the street outside which is a main thoroughfare. It was a bit noisy at night from passers-by, but things went quiet after 11pm. We cannot blame the hotel for outside noise. Our room was lovely with all mod-cons and very well maintained. It was cleaned every day and we were given fresh towels when required. There was a large selection of items for breakfast ranging from traditional continental breakfast to bacon and eggs, cereals, yoghurt etc. There was a good selection of bread and a gluten free option was available. We really appreciated this. The staff were lovely - so friendly, cheerful and welcoming. Particular thanks to the lady who arranged gluten free rolls for my wife - we built up a really good rapport with her; she was delightful. All in all an excellent stay. We would definitely consider staying here again if visiting the area.
Hotel Bamberger Hof Bellevue
