It’s quite expensive, but the hotel offers excellent facilities and very clean, comfortable rooms. However, I experienced technical issues with my room key, which only get resolved just before we checkout. Overall, a good stay, but the service could have been more efficient given the price.

Over crowded on weekends, waiting 30 min for breakfast. Even the food quality affected due to the crowd . Felt a burnt flavour eating bread, when I looked back it was burnt. No one taking care of the food kept outside in the waiting hall for breakfast.

Had a good weekend at Sheraton Grand mahabalipuram. Loved the huge garden facing the beach. The pool size is decent. Had Buffet Breakfast and Dinner at the restaurant, which had a good spread of Vegetarian items.

It's not far from downtown Chennai, but it's a place I often go to because it's refreshing and gives me a sense of travel. I had a great time with my friends, family, and several other families. The only downside is that the poolside bar is lacking for a 5-star hotel, but the pool is okay to play in except when it's crowded. The beds are good, and there are some very smart staff members, so it's nice that you won't be delayed when you get serviced by them. However, there are too few restaurants, so there's not much to choose from, and the main restaurant is always mainly Indian food, so even though it's a 5-star world chain, there's not much to eat as a foreigner, which is a downside.

I recently stayed at the Sheraton Grand Chennai and overall had a very enjoyable experience. The hotel itself is beautiful, the facilities are excellent, and the staff was generally friendly and professional throughout my stay. However, there was one major issue that significantly impacted my overall impression. From the day I checked in, I asked about the possibility of a late check-out until 4 PM (or slightly later). I followed up multiple times during my stay and was repeatedly told that I would be informed. Only after asking again via chat one day before departure did I finally receive confirmation that a late check-out until 4 PM had been approved. Despite this confirmed arrangement, I was confronted in a very unpleasant way on the day of departure. At around 2 PM, a staff member knocked loudly on my door and, when I opened it, spoke to me in a rude and confrontational manner. He questioned why I was still in the room, stated that check-out was at 12 PM, and asked if I intended to stay another night. I had to explain to him that I had already been granted a late check-out and suggested that he clarify such matters internally before approaching guests in this way. This situation was handled very unprofessionally and the tone used was completely inappropriate. It left a negative impression and does not match the otherwise high standards of the hotel. In summary: a great hotel with a lot to offer, but serious improvements are needed in communication between staff and in how guests are addressed in such situations.
