Vang Vieng Hotels with Airport Shuttle

Very poor value for money! This is a big hotel in the center of Vang Vieng. No charm. Yes some rooms have a nice view, although not directly on the river. It was definitely not as good as on the pictures. The bathroom looked relatively old. Overall it’s nothing too bad, but very very overpriced. The night before we stayed in Riverside Boutique Hotel for the same price range, and it was much much better.

This is a gem of a resort! We still talk about our stay here. Probably, one of the best pools I've been in. The views are incredible, the breakfast is sumptuous, the rooms are exceptional, and the spa is fantastic! The ONLY drawback I can think of is the (approx 15 min) walk back from the center of town (we felt very safe!) Getting to town center is not an issue as they have a shuttle service (5-7 drive) But if that is not an issue for you, then just go and stay here and you will not regret it

The first three days of my stay passed without incident. Everything was decent. Then on my last couple of nights, I had some negative experiences. First of all, they ran out of hot water on both of the final nights I stayed there. I had been told during check in to call 0 if I had any issues, so I did, but the line did not connect. Since I was halfway through my shower, I came downstairs in a bathrobe and asked about the water situation. I was told everyone was using the hot water at the same time, which is why I didn't get any to my room, and that I could wait 15 minutes for hot water. When I asked about the extension for reception, I was told to try 120 instead of 0 because some rooms were set up differently. I went back up and waited almost an hour. Still no hot water, and water pressure was super low. I tried to phone down, but once again, the number didn't work. So I went downstairs again to ask, but the issue still hadn't been solved. I was offered use of the pool shower, which I declined because by this time I was tired and ready for bed. The next day, I once again tried to shower past 9pm and again, there was very little hot water. The water was lukewarm. Because nights in Vang Vieng get cold, I couldn't bring myself to have a lukewarm shower. Secondly, besides the hot water issues, I also had a bath towel that had an orangey stain on it. Not sure what it was, but this is the reason the cleanliness score is only 3. Everything else was fine and clean enough. Breakfast was OK, I suggest you eat earlier around 7-8 otherwise the rice and other food gets cold and unpleasant. I was offered a free ride to the train station as compensation for the hot water issue, which was nice. Still, though, as someone who showers before bed, I wouldn't stay here again.

We stayed at Sansan for 4 nights and it was the most relaxing time we’ve had during our time travelling. There is a lovely pool area and the hotel itself is set away from the main road so it is very peaceful. The breakfast is quite simple and the same each day but overall good. The rooms are lovely and big and we had an amazing view over the field that backs onto the hotel grounds. We rented a moped for 150kip for the day which seemed the same as the town. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk into the town centre, via what feels like a dusty carpark. It also doubled up as a market. Overall I would highly recommend Sansan as a relaxing stay in Vang Vieng.

Let me tell you, this hotel deserves to pay its staff triple! Khamla truly went above and beyond to make sure I had an amazing stay, and her kindness left me speechless. Honestly, when I first arrived, I thought, “Oh no, I’m canceling my booking right now.” But thankfully, they let me see the room before check-in and even offered a full refund if I wasn’t satisfied. In the end, I decided to stay for the two nights since I figured it would be okay. Now, I won’t lie—the exterior of the hotel looks a bit worn, but don’t let that fool you! Inside, it’s spotless and conveniently located near a plethora of restaurants, bars, and tourist attractions. I booked an exhilarating hot air balloon ride for $120 through the hotel for the next day, and it was absolutely unforgettable. I also had my heart set on visiting the Nahm Xai viewpoint but didn’t want to venture out alone. The staff went out of their way to help me find an English-speaking tour guide, and when that didn’t pan out, Khamla from the front desk stepped in. She graciously offered to be my guide on her day off! She hiked with me up to the viewpoint, snapped photos, and made sure I was safe and sound every step of the way. In the end, I couldn't have been happier with my decision to stay. The service here is truly top tier, making this hotel experience one I won’t forget!

We stayed at this hotel several times. A large hotel, many different types of rooms. You can choose the one that suits you. We first waited in a standard room, then moved to a superior room with a balcony. Very nice staff. They are there, you don't need them and they don't bother you when you ask for them. During a thunderstorm there were problems with power outages, but the hotel staff quickly resolved this issue. In terms of the Internet, when there were interruptions, we were offered to move to a room ”closer” to the router. The room was superior. No extra charges were taken. Breakfasts from 7 am. You order from the menu. Fruits and coffee / tea and juice - unlimited

It was basic but expected for the price. The location was very good. The shower was a poorly designed so sprayed water everywhere but the bathroom was generally clean. My aircon didn’t work very well but there was a fan. Nice view. My friend did have an issue with her room and they acted poorly when trying to resolve.

The stay is fine but it was very disappointing for the laundry service that the hostel offered. All the clothes came back with wet, bad and weird smell, i have to forced to hang my clothes outside the room but turned out it does not remove the bad smell left on my clothes. I had gained the lesson from you guys and avoid to pay for laundry service in the hostel from now on!

A single-family villa with a large lawn, one bedroom, one living room and one bathroom, breakfast included, very cost-effective. The proprietress is Chinese, very enthusiastic and has attentive service. There is a buffet and song and dance performances in the restaurant in the evening. It is 700 meters away from the train station. It is in a remote location and far from the center of Vang Vieng. The transportation is not very convenient.
