The Ven at Embassy Row, Washington, D.C., a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Comfortable, clean and well positioned. Pretty city view from my room.

The warmth, hospitality and welcoming nature of all the staff including front desk, valet drivers, bar server, chef, cleaning staff each one of them are just fabulous. The exceeded my expectations. I would say this one is one of the best hotel I have stayed in out of 312 hotels I had stayed so far in last few years. ⚠️ This is 100% NOT a paid review at all... This is true feeling coming out from my heart ❤️. I am definitely going to visit it again. I must say front desk attendant Cookie (Yes it is cookie) and Helen... Both of them are outstanding. They truly justified the role they are hired for.. and literally saying they are really very nice souls.

TThe hotel is in an excellent location, making it easy to explore Washington's main attractions. The rooftop pool was a great bonus and a perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing. Overall, the staff was friendly and responsive throughout our stay. There were, however, a few areas that could be improved. The pool could have been cleaner, especially considering how small it is and how quickly it fills up with guests. More frequent cleaning during the day and a few additional shaded seating areas would make the experience much more enjoyable. The air conditioning unit in our room was also very noisy, especially at night. We also experienced a very unsettling incident when a maintenance staff member attempted to enter our room in the middle of the night because he believed it was unoccupied. Fortunately, we had the security latch engaged, so he was unable to enter. We reported the incident the following morning, and to the hotel's credit, the staff took it seriously and addressed it promptly. One final tip for future guests: the hotel's valet parking is quite expensive. There are several much more affordable parking garages just a short walk away, so it's worth looking into those before parking at the hotel.

Great hotel with a convenient location, clean and comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. The service was good, and everything matched my expectations. I had a pleasant stay and would definitely consider staying here again.

I did not have the pleasure of using the facilities however, I must commend the staff for always being helpful and friendly throughout my stay. I would recommend that the staff be advised on a contingency plan or when there are power cuts in the area to mitigate any discomfort and inconvenience experienced by guests. Unfortunately during my stay at the hotel, the power went out from 4am till the time I checked out at 2pm. It would have been a nice gesture to offer bottled water, discounted rates, coupons or some type of assistance to the guests who were at the hotel to ameliorate the unpleasant situation of being without power for such a long time. Other than that, I think the hotel is in a good location and is easily accessible depending on your needs in DC.
