This hotel is a hidden gem about a 20 minute walk from Southwold town centre and the pier. We’ve stayed in some lovely hotels in many parts of the country and we would say this is one of the best. Friendly staff, nice food and immaculately clean.

Yet another wonderful two night break at this lovely hotel. We ate in the restaurant both nights (as always) and the food was as delicious as ever. Breakfast is great too, cannot fault it. Staff are totally amazing and this time went above and beyond for my husbands birthday - a candle and happy birthday on his dessert along with Wayne singing 😊. We will return.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. We stayed in a small double room which was warm, spotlessly clean, freshly decorated with good bedding and had a great shower. A nice touch was the delicious homemade shortbread that was supplied daily with the tea/coffee in our room. A good selection for breakfast too. If you’re a fan of Black Pudding, make sure you try it here.

We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The room was lovely, newly decorated to a high standard and the room facilities were excellent. The evening meal was very tasty and there was a good selection on the menu. Great breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff.

Weren’t staying there , stayed nearby in air bnb , so went for £14.95 breakfast a head we felt it was good value drinks toast cereal and pastries however there were no baked beans tho with full English breakfast I ordered …. But worth the price charged we felt

We never stayed in the hotel but had a very good value for money breakfast. Lovely cooked breakfast for party of 11. Cereals Pastries and Tea and Coffee with Fruit Juices all included. Would definitely recommend. Friendly service. Nice dining room and easy to park.

Lovely hotel not far from the centre of Southwold (about 20 mins walk). We had a lovely large room overlooking the garden on the top floor. The room was spacious and nice and warm with a lovely bathroom. The breakfast was superb on each morning. We didn't eat in the restaurant as being off season, it was a bit quiet. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

B&B for us. Walked to & from Southwold quite happily. Comfy clean bed & bathroom with nice bed linen & towels. Decent modern showers and tiling in the bathroom, although it could have done with plastic cups. Slowest boiling kettle ever in the bedroom. Breakfast room very echoey; had heavy wooden tables & chairs on wooden floor in a room with no soft furnishings.

We stayed here for two nights and were very impressed with this hotel- they really deserve far more reviews than they get. Our room on the top floor was spacious and comfortable, with good facilities. An easy walk into Southwold and situated in a quiet residential area. This was a really good alternative to the hugely expensive options in Southwold- we will definitely come again.
