Good breakfast, suitable for family outings. The room smells a bit tolerable. The surrounding environment is super good and will come next time.

The service is the most important for the hotel. For more than half a month, the whole set of services that such a hotel can provide can be kept at a top priority. Whether it can consider the price of the frequent residents, it will become better.

Service and environment are very good. It is newly renovated and tastes a bit.

The lobby environment is good, the room is clean and sanitary, and the stove and tableware are easy to use compared with similar hotels. The room area is small compared to the housing price. The breakfast is monotonous, and the lobby does not provide free self-service coffee and hot drinks.

This place was amazing. For the rate you really get alot. Not too crazy about the parking fee and that they charge you everyday but it is what it is and maybe hotels even charge more than that. For some strange reason there is a smoky smell in some of the rooms, but they were good about switching us until we found a better room. Windows don't open so if you're on the ground level you miss a lot of the patio noise. It's a lot nicer when it's not as crowded here. The higher levels have a nice view. We did have to make a deposit but they didn't charge us any pet fees. Didn't know if the restaurant was open but we didn't find a menu in the room. It's outdated but in a in a way that adds to its charm. Not a bad place, I recommend it. They had security and compared to lower range lodging in Simi Valley we felt comfortable. Plenty of T.V. channels and plug outlets.

We came to Simi Valley to visit friends and family. I am so glad we chose this location. The shape of the buildings makes it convenient to all the amenities. The daily breakfast is real food and good coffee and juices, which we appreciated. The rooms have a refrigerator and microwave. The rooms were cleaned early everyday and done when we returned, even with a few special touches. The staff is amazing, pleasant, on top of any needs and always smiling. The rooms could use some updating but the price justifies it. The pool was clean and never got over crowded. The location was close to shopping and the Reagan Library and Museum. We would definitely come again.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Rooms are spacious, clean and recently upgraded. We booked the Garden view rooms, which is recommendable , as they face the nation gardens. Other rooms might look towards the 101 freeway, which will make your experience different Next to the hotel is a supermarket. During our stay they were remodelling the restaurant and lobby area. If they build it according to the artist impressions it will look gorgeous when done. Disadvantage now is that you need to preorder your breakfast and pick it up at a window. Not a big deal, but the choice is very limited and nothing healthy included, even not a simple yogurt. Conclusion: Great hotel, but with the very limited breakfast at the moment, it only gets a 4 out of 5 during their renovation.

Healing hotel, yoga, aromatherapy, sea view, food are resort best hotel

An a dedicated Marriott hotel chain family we were truly taken back by a very bad stay experience on 5/22 to 5/23. I attempted to contact the hotel and the corporate office yet recieved a form letter type apology with no true correspondence back from Marriott to resolve such an issue. A Mr. Gustavson wrote apologizing for the trash in front of the hotel the urine looking substance in the elevator and the multiple tour buses parked outside of our room which were noisy throughout the entire night and early morning hours making it impossible to sleep. Mr. Gustavson also gave me an email that was incorrect. As I stated the noise in the rear parking lot all night long was very disruptive relative to getting any sleep in room #205, which was adjacent to where the buses and people were talking etc. all night long. I just had shoulder surgery and we were up in thousand oaks to visit the gravesites where my wife's parents are buried. We have never experienced such a disturbance and disruptive environment while staying at one of Marriott's hotels. We also reported the overflowing maintenance trash cart in front of the hotel with trash sprawled all over the sidewalk etc. as I noted it was just left of the front doors as I pulled into the parking stall by the handicapped space. The trash cart was a large gray wheeled unit used most likely by maintenance to clean rooms etc. We also reported a liquid mess in the elevator which we noted looked like urine. The entire experience was less than expected from the Marriott chain and without a phone call in return or reimbursement of the 20000 Bonvouy Points I spent on this nightmare stay. We were certainly not informed of the big tour buses and activity in the parking area adjacent to our room which should have been disclosed and surely we would have declined and asked for another room. The caution tape in the parking lot does indicate this was a predetermined plan and we were the victims of a poorly selected room. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this location and are truly disappointed that Marriott chose to ignore my letter to corporate and correspondence to the hotel. I would not recommend this location.

On July 18th 2022, my husband and I arrived at the HGI in Calabasas at noon which I realize is prior to stated check in time. I absolutely, positively and completely understand that check in time is 4:00 p.m. The problem is that we were informed our room was ready...HOWEVER...in order to check in prior to 4 pm I would have to pay an additional $75.00. I did not pay it. This is on top of the $187.00 a night I was already paying for the room. I was told this was corporate policy....however...NOWHERE...not in large print or the very small print on my reservation was this stated, nor was it stated anywhere on the Hilton Garden Inn website, or the website for this actual property. There were NO signs posted anywhere inside of the hotel stating this fact. If it is a policy, rule, program, plan or procedure it MUST BE STATED SOMEWHERE. . On the website for this actual property...under the tab ”Hotel Policies”...it does not show any fee for early check in, but early check out or late check have $0.00 fees. I have lost count as to how many people I have spoken with including the director of sales at the property (Eduardo) who basically told me they can do as they wish and blew me off. I have been in email contact with the front office manager (Alyssa) at that hotel and her response was the ”thank you for bringing this to our attention...blah, blah, blah”. I did speak with two people in Hilton corporate guest relations and was finally given additional Hilton Honors points. They now consider the case closed. I do not consider the case closed. No one seems to understand that there has to be notification of additional charges. I am still angry and frustrated, and after the way we were treated and disrespected at the hotel and again by all of the many people I have been in contact with I do not feel valued or appreciated as a guest or a Hilton Honors member. I am questioning my future relationship with the Hilton chain.
