Fletcher Hotel Restaurant Zeeduin

With my previous experiences of high teas, the Fletcher Hotels offer for the Mother's Day High tea came at the right time. I went with a friend yesterday and we had high expectations beforehand. In retrospect, I can only recommend to everyone: do not go here for a high tea. What a mockery! Not only was there little attention for our table, we also received no explanation at the beginning about the rounds to come. Or explain what was on our plate. In addition, we didn't get any etageres with snacks from which to choose, no, we were served two sandwiches, also with ham (ham with a high tea???) and then a plate with sweets. Sandwiches, scones, wraps... basically all the classic elements were missing. It was fun with the company, but will you ever book here again? No. Don't come here for a good high tea.

Dirty gang. Overpriced. What a disappointment this hotel was. Filthy, overpriced and rude restaurant staff. We paid 214 euros for half board. In our room, a highway toilet seemed to have a urine smell. The bathroom was shabby dated and wetted by a previous guest and not properly cleaned. The bed stank of mold. A large part of the guests have dogs in the room, while rooms are so poorly cleaned that my allergy took effect immediately. Dinner was a huge disappointment. 40 euros pp supplement for half board is sufficient for a good meal. But they're *****ping the half-board card down to six beach bar dishes. Sateh fries, hamburger, Fish&chips. That work. Nothing wrong with that, but worth 17 euros at most. You can forget the seafood platter and steak. Dessert was a dame blanche of cheap watery tasting and almost crystallized ice cream with an excessive dollop of aerosol whipped cream. But that service… In a half-empty restaurant, half an hour before they took the order. We gave up coffee and digestives because no one came anymore. They were chatting at the bar. The treatment of a friendly Indian guest was outrageous because he asked if the dishes could be prepared a little more spicy. In response, he was bluntly and denigratingly that the cook is "busy" and "doesn't feel like" taking individual wishes into account. Brilliant treatment of Indians when you run a 'hospitality' business sitting next door to Tata Steel.

Nice location just behind the dune. Friendly staff. Good food. Surprising surroundings, beautiful cycling routes through the dune area. SHIP is worth checking out. You can see the new sea lock under construction. Here is also an interesting excursion to follow.

Run down and overpriced. The whole hotel is very old. The price is not reasonable for the room, dark and musty. The extra costs for the parking lot are covered. I will definitely not come back.

A reasonable 3 star hotel. The advantages are: friendly staff and a warm welcome, neat restaurant with good breakfast, (expensive) parking space with charger for electric cars. Close to Tata Steel, but right on the beach. The biggest drawback is a very important one for us and especially in this corona time: cleaning is very bad. Furthermore, the rooms are extremely dated with discolored and damaged furniture and with discolored curtains hanging loose. The bathroom is also dated, but functional. Conclusion: Nice for once if the price does not suggest a 4 star hotel.
