The Westin Xi'an

I traveled with two children and booked a family room in the apartment building with a king bed and a sofa bed. Since it's close by, I could easily get a taxi from the entrance of the High School Affiliated to Shaanxi Normal University on Ci'en West Road, avoiding the one-way traffic congestion in front of the hotel. The hotel breakfast was good, and the dinner buffet was amazing, with delicious food and very reasonable prices. I also ordered late-night snacks; the fried rice, fermented glutinous rice soup, and small dumplings were truly delicious. After having the hotel's 'safer' noodles and roujiamo, there was no need to go to any snack street. The hotel service was excellent, especially Lucy. We arrived before check-in time, and she escorted us to the executive lounge to rest and even provided complimentary breakfast vouchers, for which I'm especially grateful. The kids had a great time eating and playing at the hotel. The Giant Wild Goose Pagoda and the Grand Tang Dynasty Everbright City are right at the doorstep, which was incredibly convenient with children. After three days in Xi'an, I've grown to love The Westin hotel; it feels very reassuring. It was a pleasant trip.

Overall, the hotel is pretty good. The decor is well-maintained, and the facilities have been updated with modern amenities like a large TV and a smart toilet. The breakfast quality is excellent, offering both local specialties and delicious Western options (the coffee from the capsule machine is consistently good). The location is superb; the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Grand Tang Dynasty Everbright City, and Furong Garden are all within easy reach. The Joy City mall next door also offers convenient dining and shopping. However, if you're an early sleeper or sensitive to noise, you might want to pay attention to your room's orientation. While the windows provide good sound insulation, they can't entirely block out the peak-hour hustle and bustle from outside. The suites are very spacious, making them ideal for family trips, and if your children are small, two could even sleep on the sofa! 🤭

It was cleaned and refreshed daily, and they even provided children's toothpaste and toiletries. **Environment:** The location is superb! You can see the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda from the window, and Datang Everbright City is right downstairs. **Service:** The customer manager proactively helped us with a late check-out – so thoughtful! **Qujiang Art Museum Tickets:** Saw the golden bricks of the Forbidden City's Hall of Supreme Harmony, truly eye-opening! **Fun Experience: Dual Hanfu Experience for Two (makeup and styling not included):** My second child got to try on a Hanfu outfit for free.

The hotel's location is excellent, right on the street of Never Sleep City, directly opposite the Xuanzang Master sculpture. The hotel is large, and the rooms are spacious. The 2.74-meter-wide bed was incredibly comfortable. Westin's breakfast is also quite famous in Xi'an. The only downside, as mentioned in many online reviews, is the service. The front desk staff seemed very cold. We booked our rooms several days in advance and specifically checked in at 6:00 PM, yet they couldn't even put our two rooms together. After a long discussion, they ended up giving us two rooms that were the furthest and in the corner, right next to the air conditioning units.

The hotel's location is great, right next to the Grand Tang Mall (Datang Buyecheng). We even received two complimentary tickets to the art museum upon check-in. The hotel facilities are pretty standard. Plus, there's a Joy City shopping mall nearby.

Stayed here with my parents and child. The hotel service was excellent; the staff in both housekeeping and at the front desk were incredibly responsive to all our requests. Every single employee demonstrated a very high level of professionalism. Plus, the hotel is right next to the Grand Tang Mall, and the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda is directly across the street. The location is absolutely superb!
