"The hotel is situated in a very convenient position next to metro station. The room is nice and spacious. The hotel is very clean and the staff are very nice and efficient. Though they do not speak English. Free water bottles on every floors. The hotel also provide free toothbrush and toothpaste, comb and slippers. Free laundry and dryer with washing liquid but no fabric conditioner. I felt a bit disappointed by afternoon tea. It was only tea and coffee, waffle, tomatoes, cucumber and a few biscuit. Not so good at all. For breakfast there were not many choices for western food. I thinks it was catered for South East Asia customer. Two or three choices for fruits"

excellent customer service I experienced
when I checked in to your hotel on 13 Nov
2025.
I was glad to encounter one of your
employees (refer photo) who took the
extra mile in rectifying my booking issues.
She calmly gave her honest opinions and
assisted me all way through until I
comfortably checked in my room.
Despite language barrier she showed her
sincerity and patience in every interaction
thus turning it to a positive experience.
I would a l s o like to c o m m e n t o n a very
helpful cleaning lady by the name of fang
fang (see photo) who took teh exra mile to
show me the laundry room and taught me
patiently how to operate the washer. She
also told m e to approach her anytime
should I need any assistance with regards
to housekeeping matters.
Their commitment to providing
outstanding service is commendable. I
would like to say thank you to all the staff
and my gratitude to both of them for their
hard work.

"The young lady at the front desk was very attentive and provided excellent service. She gave us a welcome gift and drinks, and even stored our luggage for us after check-out. The hotel's afternoon tea was great, and the breakfast had a wide variety of options. I want to praise that thoughtful young lady at the front desk again; her service was truly exceptional. She was always happy to help with any requests and even reminded us about the complimentary evening milk and porridge, and brought us fruit. It was a wonderful stay, and I'll definitely come back again. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel's decor really suited my taste; it had a fantastic ambiance. The design was very stylish, with art pieces displayed in the lobby and cozy seating areas tucked away in corners. The bedside wall lamps were a thoughtful touch, providing soft, non-glaring light that was perfect for reading at night. I also want to commend the cleanliness, which is something I value most. The pillow and duvet inserts were of excellent quality, making for a very comfortable sleep. The bathroom glass was sparkling clean, and the front desk even provided considerate items like disposable toilet seat covers and steam eye masks. Overall, this place offers great value for money."

"This is the best hotel I've ever stayed at in terms of service. The room was well-equipped, clean, and the bedding was spotless. The mattress was incredibly comfortable, and I slept wonderfully. They even extended my check-out time. The hotel is located in the heart of Xi'an, offering excellent value for money, and it's convenient for getting anywhere. Plus, they offer luggage storage, which is a huge bonus!"

"Amazing location and kind host !
Room is clean and comfortable. Location is amazing just 5 minutes from metro and in the market so endless food to try. It is located in a backstreet but it was not hard to find as I saw in some comments, it is very safe and smiling neighbors.
The host kindly showed me where to do my laundry and offered daily cleaning if needed. Very available by text for any question.

"1. The hygiene wasn't great. There were large red stains on the bathroom mirror (not sure if it was blood or something else), the toilet seat and the area around the flush button were very dirty, and there were also stains on the bedside table.
2. I'd suggest putting some small drinks and snacks in the mini-fridge for guests to enjoy, especially since this is a four-star hotel. (The two other four-star hotels I've stayed at before had complimentary drinks in the fridge.)
3. Finally, I have to commend the lady at the front desk on the first floor. Her service attitude was excellent, she was very pleasant, and she even gave me a small gift when I checked out – she was wonderful!
Overall, if they put more effort into cleaning and really focused on room hygiene, it would be much better! After all, that's the most important part of a hotel."

"Location: Very close to the Bell Tower. The airport shuttle drops you off right at the hotel entrance.
Amenities: The breakfast buffet exceeded expectations, with both Western and Chinese options. Everything was fresh and delicious! I even saw some foreign tourists enjoying a plate of baozi, haha.
Service: The front desk staff was very responsive to all requests and provided helpful travel information."

Before I went to stay at their hotel, the customer service staff should have called me to ask if I knew the specific location of the room and our hotel. Later, they sent me the specific location of the hotel, arranged the room for me in advance, and told me the room number. FFFAVAThe hotel's entrance signage was unclear, and I almost went to the wrong door, as there are three hotels within the same complex. I'm not sure if it was due to a slight delay in check-in, but the front desk upgraded our room, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, the room was pretty well-maintained, though it had a couple of minor flaws: the bathroom door didn't close tightly, and there was a noticeable dent on the floor. The service was enthusiastic, but their efficiency and execution could be improved. The dinner at the Italian restaurant was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the egg white omelet and black sesame paste for breakfast, both of which I haven't seen offered at other hotels. The complimentary fruit in the room wasn't of great quality; the pepino melon, for instance, was unripe. The TWG tea and bottled mountain spring water in the room, however, were fitting for a hotel of this caliber. The hotel also boasts a beautiful garden at the back. My lasting impressions of this hotel are its French romantic architecture and the delightful fragrance of osmanthus flowers.

AAnonymous UserI truly enjoyed my stay at MEILIE Ling Hotel Xi’an. The hotel’s aesthetic is elegant and full of Song-style charm, blending traditional beauty with modern comfort. Its location is perfect — right near the Bell Tower and within walking distance to the Muslim Quarter, making it ideal for exploring the city.
The service was personal and attentive. Staff members did their best to accommodate every need, responding quickly and always with warmth and professionalism. Complimentary laundry, breakfast, afternoon tea, and even a light supper were thoughtful highlights. Communication was smooth, and requests were handled efficiently.
The bedding was exceptionally comfortable — soft and perfect for a restful sleep. I also appreciated the small yet meaningful touches: a water bottle thoughtfully placed on a bench near the elevator, free drinks at the rooftop bar, and the friendly faces at the lobby and dining area. The smart systems, delivery robots, and AI features added a fun, futuristic touch.
Even the elevator design — intentionally slow with a built-in seat — reflected the hotel’s calm and graceful philosophy. The entire experience felt refined, relaxing, and full of care.
A wonderful new hotel that captures the soul of Xi’an with heart and detail. Highly recommended.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel facilities are very new, and the rooms are quite spacious. Its location near Datang Everbright City and Joy City is a definite plus. However, being right at the entrance of a major scenic area and on a one-way street makes getting around a bit inconvenient, especially in the evenings. This is something for other travelers to keep in mind.
Despite the bustling location, the hotel itself was quiet, and I had a good rest. The only real downside was the breakfast, which had a very limited selection.
What's more, for some reason, even the restaurant staff during breakfast were asking us for positive reviews. If this is for staff evaluation, the hotel should really consider guest privacy and approach guests at appropriate times without being intrusive. Plus, the breakfast staff generally don't have direct interactions with guests beyond serving food, so it felt quite abrupt and out of place.
On a positive note, both the front desk and housekeeping services were excellent.

Breakfast is a modest variety but delicious, and well re-stocked.
The room was large, with excellent fittings and furnishings, with a nice local outlook from the windows. The window opens for some fresh air if required.
The laundry has 2 washers and 2 dryers. And free washing detergent.
All the staff from reception to cleaners to cooks are lovely, and do their jobs really well.

AAnonymous UserFantastic location. Within few minutes' walking distance to Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Kaiyuan Mall & Muslim Quarter. It's also possible to take a longer (15-20 minutes') walk all the way to Shuyuanmen street or even to Yongningmen gate.
Exit B of Zhonglou Metro station is but a few steps away, which affords easy access to the rest of the city, including outskirt areas (making it possible to go by Metro directly to Huaqing Palace and Metro + bus to Terracotta Warriors).
Travellers with larger luggage may prefer to use Exit A of Zhonglou station which is also less than 200m away as Exit B only has staircase access at time of writing.
Alternatively, use the escalators of the adjoining shops located just before going up the stairs of Exit B. This leads you into an area with several Hanfu dress up shops and a food court at street level. Good, reasonably priced local food selections and open till late night.
Many vendors on carts also turn up on the street right outside the hotel at night. Souvenirs and supper snacks sorted. There are also many restaurants and spots for coffee right along the street and a 7-11 within a tiny alley that's part of the larger building.
Street level elevators lead to Level 6, where the lobby is located. Only guests with room cards are able to scan and access the higher floors where the rooms are, so security is good.
Apart from the 5-star location and convenience, the hotel's service itself is commendable. Housekeeping adheres to the Do Not Disturb sign when necessary and does a good job of cleaning otherwise. Only items missing are hair conditioner and body lotion but these can be easily brought from home. Bottles of drinking water are refilled daily. So too red and white tea sachets. Housekeepers themselves are also very friendly and always keep a great attitude even if you can't speak the language.
Rooms come with blackout curtains and are generally quiet unless people are speaking loudly in the corridors.
There are smoke-free rooms and the general areas are also pleasantly smoke-free.
There is also an in-house tour desk.
Front desk was always helpful with questions and adept with using translation apps. Special mention must be made of Receptionist Wu, who aided with e-hailing booking and also easily sorted out a mix up with hotel pickup/drop off from airport.
A good stay that you can't go wrong with!

PPing ChungLocated just inside the city wall's wall gate and directly in front of hotel bus stops and metro very nearby. The city's bell tower is about 15-30 mins walk straight down the road. The drum tower and muslim quarter are a few hundred metres to the left of the bell tower from the direction of the hotel. Eateries are all over the place. The tour company, i used, came to the hotel to pick up and drop off.
The room is spacious , brightly lit equipped with an air purifier and hot and cold water dispenser. Curtains, lighting, ventilation may be voice controlled via a Chinese system (Mandarin voice input). All can be operated manually via traditional switches. Shower water pressure is good.
