HUAQING PALACE RESORT & SPA

It were one of the best hotel we have ever been. We travelled many countries, so we can compare. Every detail is thought out, every little thing is taken into account. The attention of the staff is priceless. We really enjoyed this amazing place and regret that we had so few days. We want to come again one day.

It was fantastic experience to stay here. The room made me feel staying Dang dynasty. All staff are so kind and friendly. I wana staying here again soon.

My wife and I came here for our first anniversary and it was worth every dollar spent. The hotel was gorgeous and super clean. Our room was decorated with rose petals spelling out “1 year” on the bed and a trail of petals to the personal hot spring tub. The bathroom has two sink basins with tall mirrors. The shower is a rainfall shower. The toilet has a glass door which was a little weird but the bathroom had a solid wooden door. Cleaning staff comes every day at a time that works for you to sanitize and organize everything. The mini fridge comes packed with a variety of drinks that are refilled for free every day. We were given a rotating plate of fresh fruits every day. At night time, they provide good night soup and turn on the personal hot spring tub. During the day, you can visit the outdoor hot spring in a secluded area. The minerals in the hot springs made our skin so soft and healthy looking. We did a spa treatment too which was very relaxing. They were very accommodating with finding a time that worked best for us. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Mostly Chinese breakfast with many delicious dishes to choose from. The restaurant was in a different building on the Huaqing Palace grounds. Easy to walk to but they also can drive us in a kart to and from it. You can also come and go to the Huaqing Palace grounds too! The staff was very friendly and accommodating even with a language barrier. They helped us arrange laundry services to be delivered to our room. They went and picked up our tickets to the Song of Everlasting Sorrow (great show). The housekeeper, Deng Xiaohui, was wonderful and gave us parting gifts when we checked out. 5/5. Highly recommend. We hope to be back next time we visit Xi’an.

The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the private in-room hot spring. Soaking in the warm, mineral-rich waters after a day of sightseeing was incredibly soothing and rejuvenating. The rooms are tastefully designed, blending modern comfort with traditional charm. What truly sets this hotel apart is its exceptional service. The staff members are polite, attentive, and genuinely warm—always ready to assist with a smile. A lovely touch was the complimentary bedtime congee delivered to our room each evening, a comforting gesture that added to the cozy ambiance. For travelers with cars, the hotel offers free parking with complimentary car washes - a rare and thoughtful perk. They’ve also installed EV charging stations, catering perfectly to eco-conscious guests. Dining at their on-site restaurant was a delight. The elegant ambiance complements the menu’s creative dishes, which artfully fuse local flavors with modern flair. Every meal we had was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. In short, Huaqing Palace Resort delivers a seamless mix of relaxation, convenience, and cultural immersion. Whether you’re a history enthusiast, a wellness seeker, or simply craving a tranquil getaway, this hotel exceeds expectations. We’re already planning our next visit!

We had a great time at Huaqing Yutang Resort. It is located inside of Huaqing palace and we could have scenic walks anytime during our stay. But there's also very convenient shuttle service within hotel and part of the palace. The hotel staffs were very friendly and service oriented, especially at the restaurant the Ms. 李梅 thoughtfully suggested to pack some bread for us as we were in a hurry and didn't have much time for breakfast. Also the concierge Mr. 天龙 was very helpful carrying our luggage and giving is advices visiting the Li Shan. One highlight of our stay was the in room hot spring (natural). Our bathtub was filled automatically everyday from 7 p.m. The staff took care of cleaning the bathtub every evening. It was in gerneral very relaxing. The breakfast had a healthy combination of fruit, side and rice dishes, and even had a cook who prepare dishes on demand. The restaurant also provides dinner on a high Level (highly recommend: the panda cake, Kaki cake)
