This homestay is located in an alley next to a big pineapple sign in Shapowei. Go up the slope and you will see the marked stairs. Although it is in the bustling Shapowei, it is very quiet except for the sound of the door next door. I am quite satisfied with the size and cleanliness of the room, especially the separate toilet and bathroom. Bath gel, shampoo, hand soap, hand cream, slippers, disposable toothbrushes, and towels (not disposable) are provided. The big TV is just a decoration. Not only can't watch basic TV, but it doesn't even support screen projection. I asked the girl at the front desk to fix it for a long time but it didn't work. After checking out, the young man helped to carry the luggage down the stairs.

The directions given are for taking taxi and if you’re driving, you have to park near the residence lift lobby. Parking is on the expensive side. Location and view of the residence is good. But the registration procedure for foreigners is tedious especially for huge group. I hope the owner can make things easier by just taking photo of our documents instead of filling the complicated form with facial recognition required. Condition of the residence is acceptable and the operator has helped to topup the towel and slippers as they did not give sufficient amount initially.

The room service is very good, and they clean up for us every day! It is also very close to the attractions of Xiamen University and convenient to go anywhere. When I went to the front desk to borrow scissors, the lady spoke very gently. I like it 👍

Although is an international brand hotel, the neighbourhood do not have international brand mall and not neat to famous city spot. In room facilities such as TV do not provide international channels Breakfast food quality do not meet the expectation examples cold cut and cheese very low level.. Iasked to the chef to prepare an omelette that was not good enough. By the end Conrad as international brand in Xiamen do not meet foreigners customers expectations.

When I came to Xiamen for tourism, I saw many pitfalls in homestays and didn't dare to hold high hopes. But after checking in, I was really surprised. The front desk butler picked us up on the first floor after answering the phone. The front desk of the whole building is managed by unified property management. The face access control is recorded on the first floor. The speed is still relatively fast and you don't have to wait for a long time. It may be that there are few people in the off-season. The whole check-in is missing here. When I first arrived, I didn't know that the property management went to ask, and the attitude and tone were very impatient. Fortunately, the butler came to pick up in time and explained that the Xiamen Landmark Public Security Bureau requires the property management to record faces uniformly, otherwise it will be wrong to blame the hotel for poor service attitude, which is very unfavorable to the hotel. Others are very satisfied, and you can see the sea. The environment is also very good, very clean, and the experience is very good. My friend said that if he comes to Xiamen for tourism next time, he will definitely stay in this hotel again.

We booked the 4 bedrooms apartment, if you are here for the view you won’t be disappointed. Otherwise the place is like a hostel, whole building is used for room rental, and cafes, spa are on the same building. We were on 53rd floor and there is a cafe a few unit away. It seems that they can run any kind of business as they pleased. Mostly young adults and the place is very very busy, I guess it’s because it’s next to the university. They make you register for check in on an app but all the gate and lift access system are broken. We came from B1 carpark and we can take the lift right up to the room without any security check, I was worried about security but it seems that there are cameras everywhere. The apartment was disappointing as it was old and run down. The mahjong table was broken, the sofa are not comfortable, the shower room is mouldy and if you use the rain shower it will flood as the drainage is not efficient. The kitchen was fitted with Miele oven/washer/hood but they don’t seems to allow you to use it as they keep bedsheets and miscellaneous thing in all the drawers and oven. No utensils of any kind. We did make use of the big fridge though. I do have to say the owner/housekeeper and cleaner are very responsive to all the requests, my aircon was broken and they send someone to fix it at 10pm, but can only be fixed the next day, luckily I have the spare room to sleep in for the 1st night. (Aircon is loud in the small room too, had to wear earplugs) The view from the apartment is magnificent, period.
